Can't believe people are blaming the D for this, guess its all the blind love for Joey Flacco.....
Steelers receivers were wide open all game, a 3rd string QB put up 23 points, and it could have easily been worse if Sanders doesn't give away the ball.

How wasn't the D just as responsible for today's debacle as the offense was?
Flacco was awful, but I can't believe people are pretending the defense wasn't part of the problem. Must be the blind hate for Flacco.

Ravens scored 20 points against the #1 ranked D.

They gave up 23 points to Charlie Batch.

agreed. as sloppy and frustrating as they looked, they still put up points. theres no excuse for 23 points to a backup at your turf.

You do realize our defense just gave up 23 points to a depleted team playing a quarterback who was playing the game when Steve Young and Troy Aikman were still around, don't you? Flacco was aweful at the end of the game, but that doesn't excuse letting Charlie Batch waltz all over our field like he was playing a college defense.

Cowherd and Preston are ripping Flacco and the Ravens apart for this loss. Saying it's embarrassing, and that Flacco needs to learn how to step up in big games, and quite frankly I agree with them.

This loss was disgusting. I will never question if this team is ready this year, or believe Harbs and the media that this is a "special" season for the Ravens. This loss is a joke, and has completely ruined any faith I had in them this season. Maybe the media was right before, and that other wins have been "lucky".
I agree. Quite frankly, I'm not even that mad about the loss. I'm just burned out, this is the same story every year. You have a chance to separate yourself from the pack and you don't do it.

I'm not sure I can ever be excited about this team again with Flacco/Harbaugh. Good, but not good enough. Deep down I know this team is not making it far in the playoffs. Hell, if Andrew Luck comes into M&T and win I wouldn't be surprised.

The NFL media hates the Ravens. The wins were not lucky, we did not prepare to play the Steeler, we prepared to play Alabama. That's what happened. The offense did it's job, if the D stops Dwyer, like they should've, and stop Miller. Offense keeps you in games, Defense wins them. Simple as that, our D and Cam were the real ones to blame. And I lost faith in the season as soon as I heard we were keeping Cam, and having Suggs be out. IK it was gonna be a long season. But I don't want to throw in the towel.

My problem with that is Flacco has stepped up in big games before, he beat Ben twice last year, and Brady this year.

It just seems lazy to point the blame to Flacco and say he needs to learn how to win a big game, I get that the media does it all the time but we should be looking further into the team's problems.

Flacco wasn't good today, or even close to being good, but I don't see how any rational person can just chalk up a game like this to a QB not being able to win a big game.

I will defend my QB, but I agree. Too inconsistent. Part of it is cam, who is holding him back. He needs to take the next step. Cam doesn't let him do that. The rest of that is on him. He needs to throw the ball away, he needs to scramble at times. That's all
Exactly. The problem is that we know he can play well, but sometimes, he just...doesn't.

If he was truly awful 100% of the time there wouldn't be a 40+ page thread about him, because the decision to bench him would be easy. But right now he's a huge ball of uncertainty and that's what makes the situation difficult. He's Eli Manning in his first 5 years, but without the critical SB ring.

After losing to a 3rd string quarterback, pushing his age, and Flacco getting out-played by him -- knowing the Ravens could make the playoffs, I don't think one can question why the media hates the Ravens.

I tip my hat to Batch and the Steelers, but this loss is just down-right disgusting. I could possibly see in Pittsburgh, but at home? In front of this crowd? What a damn way to show up.

I had to sleep the last few hours to get this loss off my chest, so maybe I am just cranky, but this loss is the most embarrassing loss I can ever recall. How many teams have lost to a 3rd string quarterback, having a 9 - 2 record at the time, playing at home?

Once again, Flacco was going against the nfls best pass d. Batch was going against the nfls best crap D. If you were to switch Batch and Flacco on teams for a day, batch wouldn't be able to do crap, and Joe would look like Dan Marino. The entire team didn't show up, but mainly the D

I will agree with you there. I do think though that the Ravens had a chance to finish this game -- when Reed stepped up. Only to blow it all, by guess what? Yeah, Flacco fumbles the ball. Blown opportunity.

What happened to the run game, btw?

34 yard rushing touchdown by Rice, followed by a 10 yard rush the next carry -- then no more carries. Cam?

OK so this may not be the most popular opinion. And while i get that Flacco is not RGIII, sometimes he needs to learn to not hold the ball for 5-7 damn seconds and just take off and get 5-6 yards. If he would just scramble once in a while, or even move the pocket, i really think that it could change the ways that defenses have to play us.

If ONE coach from Head Coach to OC, DC, LB, OL, DL, LB, and ETC ETC ETC.

Says we did not execute is full of ( REMOVED LMAO )They all got WHOOPED from top to bottom. WR routes PITIFUL. OL, Lookd like TURTLES. LB's standing in the same spot for over 10 seconds.

Charlie Batch was cooking steak and serving LOBSTER in the pocket.
( FANDOM OVER MODERATED!!!!!)!!

COACHES LOST this game. They sucked from top to bottom. John, CAM, Dean, LB, OL, DL, LB, all of them!!!

All you Flacco haters. He had a rating over a 100 for a reason at home. How many times did we run a no huddle/sugar huddle tonight???? 1 freaking time!!!!

How manyh touches did Ray Rice have?

Oh last but not least how in<profanity deleted> did LEECH get passes thrown to him? ( the most ever in the NFL ) Including an atempt 30+ down the field????

Vonta picked up and smashed HOT DOG fat [profanity deleted] Hampton and planted him at one point. But he is runnig down the field 30+ yards to try?!?!? WHAT? Flacco gets sacked beacuse the OL was a like a slotted SPOON.

Really the coaching staff needs to look in the mirror and JUDGE themselves or Ozzie and Biscuit needs to. THEY ALL SUCKED TONIGHT!!!

Stop blaming players for the faults!!!!

Are record is only as good as it is because of PLAYERS playing OUT of their MINDS!!!!!!
<attempt to avoid the profanity filter deleted>

BISCUIT it is time to step up and lay the LAW. EVERYONE is ACCOUNTABLE!!!! PLAYERS, COACHES, and dont you dare you say fans because most of us see it BUT YOU DONT!!!!!

I'm going to be as objective as possible when I say Flacco had an awful performance today BUT that it was as much a function of our WR's and OL as it was him. As far as what he didn't do himself, his deep throws consistently turned into jump balls instead of a lead ball that the receiver could catch in stride. He was indecisive on a number of occasions, but that's where we get into the WR's who dropped a number of passes and were generally unable to get open, albeit against the #1 pass defense which got a boost with the return of Troy. I liked what our OL did in the run game and was surprised we abandoned it; RR and Pierce ran great today. But pass protection left a lot to be desired. KO is a great run mauler at RT thus far; love what he's doing in that department. He'll continue to grow as a pass protector but today he was largely ineffective, and that's without Woodley. Oher had a tough time with Harrison as usual.

There's really not a lot to pinpoint in terms of the offense, it was a collectively poor performance. I'm not very confident with the way this offense plays on a regular basis. I'm quite hesitant on my criticism of Flacco because of the inevitable backlash from many fans on this forum, but he seems to have regressed to an extent. I haven't seen the confidence in his decision-making; again, a function of WRs but there are players open at times that he has just missed.

Defensively that was quite poor, and quite frankly it should've been worse if not for Sanders' fumble, Batch's inability to hit a wide open Wallace, Wallace's other drop etc etc. Run defense was sound except for missed tackles especially the ones that led to Dwyer's TD.

I don't even want to go into the Harbaugh challenge; just fire whoever relayed to him that that was a play worth challenging. That lost timeout was costly.

In the BIG scheme of things it's one loss and we are still in good shape. Further observation and analysis would lead one to believe that this team is not one capable of doing any real damage come playoff time. We've already seen what Houston did to us...

Why does Joe Flacco have more votes than the Defense, who made Batch look like Peyton Manning, and like 50 blown coverages.
