Flacco played pretty bad missed a lot of throws but still kept us in the game when he was pressured most of the time .. the defense stopped the run except for a few broken plays .. i think if harbaugh didnt challenge that retarded play then maybe they would have been able to stop the clock , that kruger penalty was crucial as well

Play calls all game were atrocious, but especially in the 4th... Flacco had zero pocket awareness and his deep ball stunk... not enough Ray Rice... D lacked pressure, but got turnovers when needed... Harbs got outcoached in every way (What a terrible challenge! Are you kidding me?)

Seriously everyone gets blame...lets start with....

Flacco, looked horrible,he is the definition of inconsistent...but u can't blame him without giving alittle blame to the.....

Receivers....who don't get any separation...but u can't blame them without blaming of course....

Cam..who doesnt put our offense in any position to succeed...call a slant with torrey or jacoby...call a screen..something...anything...but can u truly put to much blame on Cam who Got us 20 at home against the top ranked defense....nah so lets blame...

Pees and his God awful defensive scheme this week...pitt shouldve scored 30!!! We got lucky! He was so concerned with stopping the run he left a shaky secondary to overwork....charlie batch picked us apart..Thank God that wasn't anyone else...but lets not put to much blame on pees..I mean after all he's not the....

Front 4...who I haven't pressure in ages...Ngata is invisible..we're not getting pressure and not stopping the run, so someone explain to me why their still there..

Something has to change..something better change

Then you haven't watched much of Romo this season. The man's numbers are TERRIBLE this year - he's thrown 15 picks already to just 16 TDs, and all of them are because he keeps forcing the ball into ridiculous areas. His decision making has been absolutely horrendous.

We were definitely in position to win the game, but we didn't. You can't win 'em all (unless you're the '72 Dolphins :P). I don't think we need to be calling for everyone's head on a pike. Losing happens and I think everyone is overreacting a little.

I don't think anyone will bash you for accurate criticism of Flacco, he was miserable this game and all criticism is well deserved - although i wouldn't say he's regressed, this one game is what it is, one game, and overall I think he's better than he was last year, when he was downright appalling for the first half of the season. And I definitely agree with you here - now here's where I'm wondering if that's Cam calling passes or Joe deciding to audible out of run plays.
It's curious that when Joe audibles, he goes "Flacco 40! Flacco 20!" etc etc...

The problem with getting rid of Cam is you have to get rid of Flacco as well. His arm is build for the deep ball. If we lose those them and we need to start over with Caldwell and Taylor we may be OK... but only if we switch to a quick pass offense or use Taylor like Seattle uses Wilson. But if we go far in the playoffs we will be stuck with both. I don't think Cam is the only problem I think because of Joes arm we use the deep routes. Flacco is an average qb and we can't afford to pay him and replenish our defense. We need to start over with Tyrod or another from free agency or draft... get rid of Flacco and Cam they are a pair. And start over with running and quick routes.

I completely blame the play-calling for tonight's loss. To summarize the game in one drive:
Ray Rice runs for 50 yards

Joe Flacco throws a 30 yard bomb to Q, pass is caught but the ref has the Steelers defense on his fantasy team so there's an offensive pass interference call

Cam Cameron obviously only has a one page playbook, so there's another 30 yard bomb to Q. Incomplete.

A short pass to Torrey Smith- wait no, apparently that's against the Ravens playcalling rules. Short pass to Vonta Leach, obviously incomplete but Harbs throws a flag because he's about 20% sure it was caught and hey why not.

They go for it on 4th down, and Ray Rice isn't even on the field at this point and not even the announcers notice. Torrey Smith is trying to get open for his classic 'Flacco fires DEEP to Torrey smith' but Joe has the ball stripped from him.

I think the fact that We had the lead following Ray Rice 34 yard TD, and then I don't think Rice ran again. Pierce may have had 2 more runs after that. And the run game was gaining positive yards all game so not sure what happen. And all the passes were down field bombs except for the leach passes and that screen to jones on 2nd and long.

Its like after halftime I totally different team came out to play. Numerous secondary break downs even when there was pressure on Batch some how someone ended up wide open in the middle of the field ( place that doesn't exist with our offense. ).

Mismanagement of timeouts all around. From the third down timeout taken by Flacco which resulted in a punt of course, harbs challenge of nothing just to lose a timeout to the injury timeout.

The O-line had some breakdowns in the second half, but that's to be expected when WRs are running 10-20 yard routes every play. Flacco's standing in there like yeahhhh should I just throw this as far as I can again, hmmm oh yeah guys on my back. At some point Flacco has to throw it away, I mean he isn't going to audible from Cams fraudulent play calling so at least get it out ur hand quicker! He's holding the ball like its our pass rush coming after him.

I think Romo is probably more talented than Flacco, but Romo will kill you every time in the playoffs with that one boneheaded play that'll lose it for his team. Who cares if he can effortlessly throw for 300 yards and 3 TDs if he also throws a deciding pick-6? Guys like Romo and Vick can wow you with great stats, but they're far worse than Flacco in their field vision and decision-making.

Clearly, the one to blame is David Reed. He was activated this week and I am sure he is responsible for our loss. Please add him as an option.

Thanks.

The Ravens blew off this game. Also, I have never heard the stadium so quite all throughout the game. I am blowing off the Ravens tonight and going to listen some music instead. ...better show up next week against Washington.

they are trying to make flacco into a top tier passing machine and it's not working!

The guy that overthrows every deep route and Cam. Yes, both!

agreed! Joe is just horrible on those throws. no sugar coating that. haven't seen him put a throw perfectly while the receiver was in stride yet! smh!

The defense played horribly, allowing all those long drives. They made Batch look like Rothliesberger 2.0. The run defense had flashes of brilliance, but ultimately allowed way too many big runs, especially from Redman.

Flacco is at best a mediocre quarterback.
I've been seeing this assessment a lot lately, I thi the term "mediocre QB" is being used on thisoard about as much as ESPN says "Elite QB"ow. I'm curious as to what the word mediocre means to you or others.

When I see the word mediocre I think well below average, Barely serviceable. Of the QBs that have start more than 2 games this year I would say these have been mediocre this year : Gabbert -Jags, Cassell-Chiefs, Cardinals ( all 3 QBs), Sanchez- Jags.

The Ravens as a franchise have had a ton of mediocre to average QBs start/play over the years: ( T.Banks, C.Redman, A.Wright, K.Boller, T.Smith , Dilfer ( may have managed us to a Super Bowl but he didn't win many games so much as Shannon Sharpe making a play or Jermaine Lewis or someone else )
I would say Vinny T, McNair , Grbac were 3 of better passes regardless of accomplishments and Flacco is certainly better than the first group.

Personally I don't think we will know how good or bad Flacco is until Cam Cameron is gone. ( doesn't matter if the offense is clicking if run game is working if a few dump off passes have opened up the out routes. At some point we always look for the long slow developing routes downfield with no other options underneath , no slants or nothing because that is what Cam likes to do regardless of score, time left on game clock anything. )

I'm not some Flacco apologist or huge fan either, I just feel people are either over top with he's elite and overtop with he's complete garbage.

after watching his game, i really want Cam to get fired or atleast call some plays that send some WR and TEs over the middle, the only play i can think of that was over the middle was the only pass to dennis pitta. cam just doesn't know how to use the weapons he is given, torrey smith can do more than just run streak routes and until cam leaves i feel the entire offense including flacco will never reach their full potential.

Cameron's play calling last week in San Diego for 3 quarters and tonight all game vs Steelers was AWFUL. Rice only touched the ball 13 times all night and ZERO touches in 4th quater. THey would not have won in San Diego had Rice not had soem 4th qtr touches. So many 3d and longs made Flacco face all out blitz, and we all know he folds under hot pressure.
Obviously Steelers Offensive Coordinator Haley's plan of ball control with short high percentage passes and runs worked well. They held the ball the last 6 minutes and had the TD drive before that and except for Reed's pic, would have scored on 3/3 drives.
