hopefully; not going to happen with this defense that played today though.

IMHO the entire team didnt care, they thought Batch would give us the game. If you want the truth on why we lost, its bc we played down to their level

I think the way we lost at home a lot of pride was bruised. I think we come back a bit angry and better prepared for a full 60 minute game and not a 30 minute game.

I'm so mad at this team right now, but posting for later when I can focus on the next game at hand. Good thread!

We'll win. We'll rebound after a loss. Perhaps this is what we needed to go on to win the Super Bowl. You know, you always have challenges. We've won 9 games already. Sure, we didn't lock up the division, but we still control our own destiny. We beat the Broncos and don't lose any more games and we get the #2 seed again.

I just don't see how our D will stop RG3. I can see us losing to the Redskins.

We cannot stop RG3, they dont have the D to stop Joe. Fair is fair right?
Sure but there will be plenty of Ravens fans, don't get me wrong there will be plenty of bandwagon Skins fans there also; so the environment will still be tough.

Hopefully since he played relatively poorly today, that means he'll start playing great on the road. I'd trade for that scenario in a heartbeat since it looks like the road to the SB will be through Houston and/or New England (again *sigh*).

Yikes, with the way our defense was playing today? RGIII won't miss a wide open dude in the redzone. He's gonna be testing us downfield a lot. Those blown coverages we had today are sure TD's next week.

On the flip side, Joe needs to work on that accuracy...Redskins defense might be poor statistically but they have the playmakers to jump on errant passes. It's gonna be a tough one. Hope the pride kicks in...

I'm afraid of this being a start of a losing streak. I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see us winning over RGIII. He is too talented for that.

Batch didnt do squat. He had 1TD, 1INT, sub 300 yards, Thats a dud.

But then you look at Flacco : 1TD, 1INT, 1 Fumble, SUB-200 yards. He got outperformed by a grandpa Batch.

But lets blame EVERYTHING else, except him.

i couldn't careless about stats brah! smh! that wasn't the point of my post. batch isn't as mobile or as accurate as RG3. our defense got very little pressure on him and he is the winning QB. also, in your stats flacco played worse than he did. the point of my post was....how will it (Ravens defense) fair against RG3 if it couldn't handle batch? that was my point. you got too technical with the stats jargon. lol!

Scary game. RGIII could easily light us up. I can see us getting blown out if our offense plays as it usually does on the road.

Hopefully the offense can match RG3. Because the wholes that were there for Batch would definitely be an issue with RG3. It's already an issue that his play fakes and running ability causes defenses to freeze.

Rice needs to have a big day running to help control the clock

Very scary game. I'm not taking it lightly one bit. I'm thinking about trying to go to it.

I have a feeling Rice has a MONSTER game. Something like AP had earlier today

And the Donko's , Cam , Air Coryel , Flacco , Harbaugh , Batch ....

I just see RG III laughing at all of this.

Top 10 reasons why Washington now scares me:

#1. It's a road game.
#2. Cam will still be calling the plays.
#3. RGIII is more dangerous than Charlie Batch.
#4. Pees will still be the DC.
#5. Cam will still be calling the plays.
#6. Harbaugh will still be deciding what plays to challenge.
#7. Cam will still be calling the plays.
#8. Pees will still be the DC.
#9: O line will still be the O line.
#10: Cam will still be calling plays.

Fixed it for you.

Flacco doesn't go against the opposing QB. That would be our defense. Being a former player and all, I'd think you would know that.

Yeah, I don't get Pees either to be truthful. We were bringing pressure, playing man in the first half and we held them to 73 yards of total offense. Did he go in at half-time and say "hmmm...we're being too successful....let's change things up a bit".

this might be a blowout...and not by us. our defense is too flawed for us to contain RGIII. we don't seem to do well against mobile QB's either (ben, romo, vick, etc)

umm...didn't we expect that from the Ravens tonight vs the steelers...at home? for them to have a "better performance" than they did in pittsburg? brah...at this point...this Ravens team is like a box of chocolates...you NEVER know what you're gonna get!" but they are my boys. lol!

Except, here's the problem with that logic, Batch did the bulk of that in the 2nd half. The first half they held him to something ridiculous like 34 yards passing. it's a bit more impressive as stats for one half of play.

That INT, all on Flacco. Have no idea what he was thinking there. He overthrew Torrey on one play (most likely) however, it also looked like Torrey would have been right there if he had kept going on his route instead of turning and coming back. Perhaps Joe, perhaps Torrey, perhaps just bad communication. Doss he hit right there, dropped it. Hit Boldin one, perfect. Dropped it. Torrey could have had that end zone pass that hit his fingertips (thought there was some PI there but whatever). Most of the second half he had little time, the O line fell apart. He should have run sooner on the one sack, he might have made some yardage. Yeah, he made some mistakes, but it isn't all on him. Cam does not give anyone on our offense their best opportunity to succeed with his play calling. That affects the entire offense too, not just Joe.
Me, personally? No. Because every time there's an opportunity like this, the Ravens fail to rise to the occasion (think last year vs. SD). This team has never had 5 straight wins under Harbaugh, and I'm starting to think it will never happen.

Ravens haven't lost two in a row a damn long time, I seriously doubt that changes.

Going into the playoffs 14-2 isn't what this team needed... they needed a wake up call. This will be one and it's right in time for them to win 4 in a row, head into a bye, and get ready for 3 more games....

My only worry is Sizzle's health.
