You have to look at the logistics of this situation though. This happened at the stadium, not his home. The possibility of a crime scene still being there is plausible. We're talking about two teams at 1-10 and 3-8. The game holds no playoff implications. Also, there are reports that this happened in front of coaches/players. This could affect them greatly.

There comes a time where you have to look at this logistically, and while the business side may suffer, there's the potential for a lot worse that can come out of this by having them play the game.
Again, not being a pain in the butt, but to clearify, the stadium can't be a "crime scene". The girlfriend got shot @ her home.

Jovan reportedly killed himself at the stadium and undoubtedly left evidence there.

I'm aware of that, but that still wouldn't make it a "crime scene".

You're arguing semantics

Yes it can, he shot himself at the stadium according to reports which makes it a crime scene.
It's not semantics. A suicide scene is handled completely different than a crime scene. (I have a long time friend that has a CSC biz.)

This does not prevent the state of Missouri from recognizing suicide as a "common law crime" for civil, if not criminal, proceedings. The civil aspect is particularly relevant because we may see the surviving members of the Blecher family (justifiably) sue the NFL for increased medical-monitoring a la the class action lawsuit filed against the NFL earlier this year. While I agree with the premise that the NFL is not going to cancel tomorrow's game, the location of Blecher's suicide should (and probably will) be treated as a crime scene.

He could have carried evidence to the stadium regarding the crime scene at home. Regardless, the media scrutiny and police presence will still make this game difficult to be played, on time at least

The civil aspects are irrelevant in relation to how the scene is handled. My point was in response to a previous post that the game would be canceled because the stadium was a "crime scene" and would need time to gather evidence. Thats simply not true, its not a "crime scene".

Again, you're arguing semantics. I misspoke. Basically, they aren't just going to clean up and go home. There's still going to be a heavy police presence around the scene.

Again, I agree that the NFL will not cancel this game, but (also again) the stadium parking lot may very well be a crime scene under Missouri common law and should be handled as such.

Even if Missouri is not one of the states that treats suicide as a common law crime:

That is, the gun.

He had a beautiful family and a great life, and he just destroys it all. It might be better to put the baby girl up for adoption in a good home and save her a lot of pain in the future.

Given that Javon Belcher likely suffered from mental illness brought about be Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, these comments come off as tremendously callous. That baby girl is the only thing her grandparents have to remember their children.

What a moron. All that going for you and you destroy it in horrific fashion. Now the child is left with an unfillable void.

I can't see the NFL postponing this game...that would just cause more attention focused on the incident, something I'm sure they want to avoid. KC could forfeit, though.

Oh I'm sorry Doc, I didn't realize you had recently diagnosed him and he had a completely rational reason for killing his girlfriend.

Oh I'm sorry, Doc. I didn't realize you had recently psychoanalyzed him and he had a completely nefarious reason for killing his girlfriend.

I wonder if he's had a high numbers of concussions, I know he was only 25 but still. Something was seriously wrong with his head.

Cursing him is pretty expected and understood but at the same time - unwarranted; it's not going to get anywhere and if this was a case caused by mental illness - NO ONE here has any room to condemn the man because you literally do not understand the scientific properties of a brain afflicted by mental illness if you do; at that point in time, it's not something that's in the individuals hands because the individual himself is no longer really 'there'. It's the disorder; hence why the men you call 'evil' when it comes to serial killers, are the men who are fully aware of reality, right and wrong, and what they are doing, the men who are fully sane with no imbalance at all - they had control.

I'm curious of the background of this incident.
