Week 13 Discussion (Other Games)

315 posts in this topic

Week 13 is here at last and it starts with a NFC South clash. The Falcons who are 10-1 face off against the only team that gave them their only loss of the season, the Saints. Will the Saints deliver a blow to the Falcons chances of the number one seed by winning again or will Atlanta once again sneak out a win?

Other Key Games:

Seattle @ Chicago: A playoff rematch from a couple seasons ago, the Bears look to stay in the hunt for a Bye in the playoffs by beating the Seahawks. If the Seahawks lose, it may hurt their chances of gaining that last wild card spot.

Minnesota @ Green Bay: This is mostly for Green Bay, but also Minnesota. The Vikings have been a surprising wild card contender and need a win to stay in the hunt. Green Bay meanwhile now needs help if they want to catch the Bears. Losing to the Vikings, a fellow NFC North rival will only hurt their chances of winning the North.

49ers @ Rams: Somebody has to win right? In their last game, nobody wanted to win this game despite playing five quarters of football. A second tie may only hurt the 49ers as they look to close on the Bears for the # 2 seed in the NFC.

Houston @ Tennessee: Plain and simple, the Texans have been close to losing the past two weeks, is this week it happens or will the Texans once again survive and walk away with a win?

Giants @ Redskins: First off, someone explain to me the need of both the Sunday Night AND Monday Night Games feature all the NFC East teams. Second, if the Redskins manage to beat the Giants they could make things interesting in the NFC East. If not, the Giants will most likely be heading toward the NFC East crown.

AFC North:

Bengals @ Chargers: Ravens need a win and a Bengals loss to clinch the AFC North. Considering SD gave up a 4th & 29, chances are slim we clinch the North this week. We can only hope the Chargers show up and play.

Browns @ Raiders: Eh, whoever loses will lose a tiebreaker that may hurt their chances at a high draft pick in the 2013 Draft.

Not going to happen... the Titans run defense will literally hand Foster 200+ yd, 3+ TD.

Should be interesting to see which Falcon gets the majority of snaps in tonight's game against the Saints' D. Rodgers has really been stepping up in light of Turner' recent struggles. Coach Smith he plans on utilizing a running back-by-committee system, citing recent trends.

I am going for NO. I hate Matt Ryan (and I also need Jimmy and Colston to have huge games this week lol)

When is New Orleans going to learn to stop the run tonight?
[/quote]

I know. I liked how they said, everyone has been wondering what's wrong with Michael Turner and he says nothing. Um.. well he doesn't play the Saints horrid run defense every week, that's the problem.

Why are they even bothering to throw the ball? The Saints defense might as well be letting Turner walk by them.

Saints need to trade up for Star Lotulelei or Jonathon Hankins or hope John Jenkins falls to them. They need to stop the run.

Why exactly does the Georgia Dome have a roof? I get one in New Orleans and up in Minnesota where you have a high chance of natural disasters, but... I really can't recall any hurricanes in my lifetime actually hitting Atlanta.

Maybe Sean Payton should re-consider signing with the Saints and go elsewhere.

Speaking of Sean Payton, with his suspension, is he suspended up until the day after the Super Bowl or like, after the draft or up until training camp or what?

Isn't having one arm wrapped around the receiver a defensive pass interference?

Video shows that Pierre's knee was down and that it shouldn't be a touchdown. Based off the ruling in the Houston-Detroit game, if the refs want to be consistent they would rule it a TD since the Texans were awarded a touchdown even though the knee was down. It's only fair the Saints get awarded a touchdown despite the knee being down as well.
