Former Bama LB Rolando McClain no longer with OAK. He writes: I'm gonna weigh my options. Looking forward to playing for an actual 'team'.

interesting, i doubt the Ravens will pick him up but at the same time... Ozzie is also a Bama guy i believe, correct me if im wrong, and also he wants to play for " an actual team" ..... Ravens certainly are and have been just that since the Harbaugh era began back in 2008, but the ravens arent going to break any sort of bank on any player if it means risking the team lol ( in a matter of speaking) talented guy for sure. and in the right system, i can see this guy flurishing. IF he were to come to the ravens it'd have to be at a low offer. but sometimes people will take the lesser of the two in order to get on a "winning team" so who knows.

He's a good LB, I think we can afford him. I'd take this! Anyone else agree

He's trash, don't buy into his size or pre draft hype. His self-entitled comment also reeks of a lack of maturity.

Well, he is young. Ray also said that at the beggining of his career. He won't be as good, but will give us an MLB for years to come

If he is truly released, I haven't seen an official source confirm it yet but if so, let's hope he makes it through waivers first. I'm sure someone is going to see potential in him and pick claim him. If he makes it through, I say go get him. That way we can have less need to worry about in the off-season. Put him with our coaching staff where he can be coached up properly he'll be a major player for us.

I assumed he was doing well because of his pre-draft hype and high Madden Rating lol. Did my homework and I'll pass on even touching the guy. And his contract is even more of a turn off than his lack of work ethic.

He is entittled to $6.675 million in 2013, $8.475 million in 2014 and $5.085 million in 2015

He's lazy, immature, and has had problems with the law. I know what everyone will say, "if anything can fix it, playing next to Ray Lewis can", but i honestly don't think we will be able to get him. Just like Babin, i don't see him making it past the top 15 in the waiver process. Obviously yes, it would help the team, and it would potentially cross one thing off our offseason list, but like i said, i don't see him passing through.

It's not just the attitude, he was practically run out of town because he's lazy and has little impact on the field.

I haven't seen anything official yet though...even on profootballtalk.com.

If Babin had 8 teams put in a claim off waivers I'm sure Rolando will have about the same. I personally don't care for the guy, he's just not good at football. Our McClain is 100x better.

You can't be serious... Rolando McClain could be a great talent. Jameel is an average LB.

I know I'm quoting my own post but I was looking up a picture of Te'o and when I look at him, I can't help but think he looks like he should be an Oakland Raider lol. Seriously, look up a picture of him and tell me you can see him easily in a Raiders uniform.

Now back on topic, McClain on the other hand looks like he should be wearing purple lol. Go get him Ozzie!

Better numbers? He is trash. There is a reason he was released and not just because of the money.

NO THANKS.

He may be lazy but he plays for a terrible organization. Give him a try under Harbaugh. Change of scenery tends to work for players.

Oakland has a tendency to have Divas (Russel, Moss, and now this guy). Harbaugh is a disiplin coach, and Ray Ray would whip him into shape.
