Jacoby certainly isnt gonna lose the return job, and if the brass starts worrying about him getting hurt or gassed, Deonte is next in line as he was returning well also.
and we certainly dont need anymore help at WR, we havent activated 6 yet and he'd have to push past Torrey, Anquan, Jacoby, Dennis, AND Tandon to get any kind of PT. And nothing he'll do on ST will be that special.
i dont get it.

As much as I dislike Reed, this is a solid decision. Jones isn't anything special as a punt returner thus far(though personally I think that has more to do with the defense letting the other team march right into our territory in past weeks), so Reed can take over there and keep Jones fresh for offense. He can also back up Jones on kickoffs, because when Doss went in, he might as well have just fair-caught everything for all the good he did us.
you know...the other 31 squads in the league have both competent kickers and coverage teams too. Sometimes there's just nothing you can do. Especially on punts, even the best returners rarely escape punt coverage for much gain, its always a low percentage play for the receiving team.

They most certainly are not, Dickson reportedly didn't suffer any lasting injury, and we already have a backup tight end.I know dickson was hurt sunday . But i thought Reed was a wr not a tight end are the positions interchangable .

depends...how confident do you feel having a stringy 190 lb receiver block a 260+ lb DE?

Fair enough. But if memory serves, we brought Jacoby in for his punt returning ability, and he got the kick returning job because Reed was injured. Now we're at the bottom of the league in punt return yards. We have been playing some killer punters, though. Like Scifres, who kicks sixty yard punts like its nothing.you know...the other 31 squads in the league have both competent kickers and coverage teams too. Sometimes there's just nothing you can do.
