Honestly I dont see how any body can disagree that a healthy / focus Reed that wont fumble the ball along with Jacoby Jones could make up to be the most dangerous kick/punt returners in the league.

LaQuan is stout on ST, I don't understand this move at all.

Laquan will still be able to play on ST while David Reed most likely will see time as a punt/kicker returner.

We'll see what he brings to the table. Yes, he was a fumble machine last year and his fumbles (not to mention that ridiculous taunting penalty) were the big reason we lost to Seattle last year, but he did have some electric returns.

It's cool that he's healthy and all, not a big fan of the move. Levine has been playing great on ST, and we already have a pro bowl bound returner.

He only really fumbled it once. On the other one he got absolutely rocked.

Levine was in a tricky spot. He was the gunner on the punt team. Before injury, David Reed was also a gunner. They may have also liked what they saw out of Asa Jackson on ST yesterday, forcing Levine out.

Is him being back a good thing. He was on the sideline for a reason before. Does anybody know what jacoby's state is ? We need him big time the next 3 games.

I don't want him back, sorry. He's never done anything as a WR and we have Jacoby... unless he's hurt worse than we know?

Anywho, he's a Raven, and I'll be cheering for him, assuming he's active.

Agreed and honestly, I forgot all about him. He better bring his A++++++ game because JJ's been lighting it up and other than a drop or two by the receivers yesterday(i know. JJ had a big one), they've been playing great. Even Doss is proving himself.

I don't think this has anything to do with Jacoby's knee, to be honest. I've been hearing for weeks about how Reed was getting close to recovery, and that there was essentially a roster spot waiting for him when healthy.

Well I think it has every thing to do with Jacoby.
Meaning, every one about pooped their pants when he got hurt on sunday. There really is not a decent and prudent replacement. David Reed is a decent replacement IN CASE Jacoby gets hurt.

Why do people subject themselves to the same things over and over again with different players? Now everyone wants to be done on Reed because he had a tough 3 game stretch last year. Then as soon as the guy is plugged in as a WR and helps or has a big game changing return, everyone will love him again.

I know it's a what have you done lately game, but for people to act as if this guy is only around because he was drafted or because Harbs has some kind of man crush on him is foolish. He's still on this team because the Ravens still see value in him. That same value that everyone will flock to this board and praise him for the second he has a good game.

The same value they saw in Jacoby, but 80% of this board bashed the FA pickup. The same value they saw in Ellerbe, that lead to a 2nd round tender, which 90% of this board bashed. The same value they saw in Harewood, which most people just wanted to see the guy cut after only 2 years. The same value they saw in young guys like Kruger, Jones, McClellan, Upshaw and Tyson, which had some people questioning Ozzie's draft ability and everyone doubting the D as a whole.

The Ravens have proven to be right in showing confidence in these guys to provide their value to this team, despite how much fans hated it. Will D. Reed come back be another really good young player? Could be, but what's the point in bashing the guy or the move, when the Ravens have proven over and over again that they make great decisions on things like this.

I'm not sure why Reeds back unless Jacoby jones will see an expanded role on offense now. Jacoby has really played great on Special Teams and I never had a problem Thompson returns kicks either. I would rather Thompson or L.Williams added on rather than Reed because I know they could also be put on field for offense...
