Boldin needs to (get Cam to allow him to) abuse the middle. That happens, with the occasional deep shot and our offense can actually be efficient. Get Joe some short, intermediate routes early on; drags, slants, screens and check downs, and we can truly open it up later in the game with a confident and poised QB. If not, well....

This would be perfect and I hope we utilize on first down to keep the LBs from cheating on the run.

Are you serious? A tight end would have been the next available option? That would have been interesting. I thought like someone stated earlier it would have been the punter.
Yep

Heath Miller played QB in high school and was recruited to college as a QB. He later converted to Tight End

As said already, Boldin is our emergency QB

Yeah, Steelers deserved to win the game. They played like they wanted to win. As sad as I am to say it, the Ravens just did not play to win this game. I don't mean the Ravens didn't want to win, but they looked lethargic at times on both offense and defense.

We were out-coached.
We were out-played.
And worst of all, our fans didn't even sound like we normally do. That's probably my biggest disappointment of all. We didn't sound as loud as we normally do.

Hopefully we learn from this, and it makes us a better team.

No pass rush, Flacco and receivers sucked, and our D was non-existent and let an old man abuse them. Definitely out played.

Ratbirds call sign serves the bunch that wore Ravens jerseys tonight perfectly. How you let a 3rd string QB walk all over you, and drive the football down the field to beat you... what a joke. The Ravens, the choke artists, they can win, but they never never win key games. I dunno if this team will ever be able to finish and make a superbowl run again.

That had to be the worst defensive game plan and lack of execution, i've ever had the displeasure of viewing. We let Batch continuously walk all over us...with the same stupid screens, and tight end seams. Im embarrassed to be a Ravens fan at the moment..

Ugly loss. Credit to the Steelers for taking care of business.

Ravens are still in control of the AFC North and live to fight another day. It is what it is.

We had an anemic pass rush today, and minimal intensity. I am disappointed by our play at home today. Who also saw Upshaw give up on plays and not finish many others? The offense is lacking although we played against a top-tier defense.

I can't understand why we keep putting up with bad time management. Also why we keep watching bad play calling. If Joe thinks he is worth elite money, well he should keep thinking. Todays lost was on Harbs time management, Cams play calling and Joe's arm.

We didn't lose because of John Harbaugh's challenge, even though it was pretty bone-headed.

If you take back that move, we still had two other time outs. One we burned on Chykie Brown. The other Flacco had to take early in the 3rd.

We lost for a lot of reasons, but the main point is the entire team played poorly from every player. Some played better than others, but we lost this game as a team. It's not any one person's fault. I know we like to blame people for losses.

Oh! I know! It was David Reed! He made us lose because we brought him off of PUP. It's the David Reed curse!

Lol, seriously. Calm down.

How in the HECK did we just lose that must win game
Biggest game of the year thus far, yes.

Must-win? Slight exaggeration -- the Ravens are still in control of the AFC North crown and decide their own fate.

Terrible game, offense turned in the typical "3-and-outs R Us" team. Defense got destroyed by Charlie Batch of all terrible backups, and it just seemed like we didnt care out there. It seemed to me that "hey diddle-diddle" BS got us big headed going into this game and as a result on every side of the ball execution was lagging, and just plain awful. Well atleast we made it out alive for the most part this last stretch of hard games, and the last stretch of games will for sure make or break this team...hopefully get us playoff ready. We have RG3 next week, then Peyton, followed by Eli, and finishing out the year where it all started against a stingy Cinci team. Im predicting we finish 11-5 with losses to the manning brothers. Both denver and the giants have great defenses, and there is no way Cary and company are going to be able to hold off Demariyus Thomas, Decker, Hakeem Nicks, and Cruz. But it really doesnt matter we got to play well in the playoffs thats where it counts.
