Steelers Week II: Pittsburgh comes to our house

I don't understand

First I read Big Ben has a serious rib injury that could be fatal.
He shouldn't be let near a field of course, not even training

Then I read he could potentially play

If the Steelers make some stupid risk here with their players they need to be slapped down by the league

Troy P could well have serious issues after he retires the way he is going

If there's still the potential of serious injury to Ben, I do not want him to play. Can you imagine the trauma to which ever of our players lays the hit on him that kills him? I don't want to see that on my field, either.
I say this with no hint of facetiousness or snarky gamesmanship: I don't want Ben Roethlisberger to die on the field. I don't want any player to die on the field.

If there's a good chance that he could die because of his ribs, he shouldn't play. This game isn't worth it. Ravens-Steelers is almost always a close game, regardless of who plays. Football shouldn't even be a factor in his diagnosis.

kinda silly....they aren't going to endanger the guys life...if he's cleared, he's not in danger, if he isn't cleared, he doesn't play, it's really that simple

Well Ill say this much if Batch does start the Steelers basically have ZERO chance of winning next week in Baltimore. If I am the Steelers I am pretty much conceeding this division and resting Ben for another week and not bringing him back until the Chargers game at Heinz Field in 2 weeks on December 9th. Even if the Steelers lose next week and fall to 6-6 they still have a chance to get one of those two wildcard spots since the Bengals are really the only other team in contention for that 6th spot at 6-5 and the Steelers own the head to head tiebraker over them and still get to the play the Bengals at home where Ben will most likely be back. The other teams after that are Miami at 5-6 who has a tough schedule left and the Titans,Bills, and Chargers who are all 4-7 and most likely will not catch the Steelers.

If I am Tomlin I am not risking bringing Ben back next week in such a physical game if he is not 100 percent ready and risk him missing even more time and not playing again this season. He should be good to go against the Chargers in 2 weeks and that is when I would play him and I think the Steelers can win out their last 4 games with the Chargers,Cowboys,Bengals and Browns and finish 10-6 and get in the playoffs. But Ill say it again if Batch starts next Sunday in Baltimore the Steelers virtually have no chance of winning that game it's as simple as that...

I could care less if Troy plays. I dont see him being the factor he was a few years ago. Either way I am thinking he will be OUT.

If Bens rib injury is legit, then he SHOULD be out. Any thing otherwise is completely insane.
I dont even want to think about him playing.

I dont want to think about our defense playing soft as to not injure him further or worse.
I dont want to think about his wife and new born son being with out a father.
I dont want to think if this is some disgusting ploy.

I have great respect for Ben R, and I do not want him to play if there is a risk of serious injury. The Ravens are on a roll, and will be eager to get win #10 the first Sunday in December. Back to back road wins, and now time to continue the undefeated streak at The Bank. I can't wait until Sunday.

The last time the steelers played in Baltimore. They were relatively healthy then, too.

I get that...but are you really going to say that a healthy Ben doesn't make a difference?

I don't think this game will be close .

We win 24-10
16-6...unless Cam figured out the Steeler pass defense in the last 2 weeks.

Maybe it'll be 35-7 and Cam will use the strategy he did last year.

In favor of the steelers?
I have never bet anything or gambled in my life but I would bet any amount of money that we score more than 6 points

We're playing at home baby

At this point I vote we send the Pitt Panthers....try to get everyone healthy and make a 4-0 run down the stretch to sneak into the wild card. That being said, that was one heck of a gutsy road win today. The Chargers did contribute with pathetic D on the 4th and long but there were a lot of other plays that had to be made.
Boldin had a heck of a block on that 4th and 29 as well.

Four RBs ALL fumble? Dude, that is some bad mojo following your team right now.

I dont' know about Ben & Troy. Pitt has put itself in a bad situation just for a Wildcard right now. If at all possible, I think Ben limps out there on the field whether he should be there or not. I can see Hairboy sitting out still though.

I bet big Ben plays this game
Healthy or not, I bet you're right.

And Suggs, who usually feasts on Worthlessburger's all game long, may seriously hurt him. I sure hope that doesn't happen. Much as I hate the guy, don't want anyone seriously injured. Especially if they comeback early.
