How about Joe Flacco? as long as whoever we hire doesn't run air coryell and utilizes personnel correctly, then i don't care.

Jim Caldwell is the next OC. That's why he's here
Maybe. For those of you who say that Jim has no experience, neither did Chuck. How did that work out?

Jack Ramsey...he was my OC in high school. I think he is about 82 years old now but I am sure his playbook would be a lot bigger then Cam's.

Head coaches can request plays. I remember in college football tommy Bowden for Clemson requested a play from the offensive coordinator to find out it wasn't installed aka some simple run play and got himself fired..haha.

Playmakers need to touch the ball! Not to dismiss cam....BUT Peyton manning used to audible to running plays to make sure Edgrin James got involved when his coach got pass happy! Why did flacco's not do something to get ray rice involved?

Jim Zorn. Flaccos best year was while he was QB coach. And when Zorn has HC of redskins, he called the offensive plays. His rushing offense ranked 8th in the league. He has a west coast style, which i think would work best with our talent.

you make a good point but was flacco best year really due to Jim Zorn or was it because Flacco had more Dependable offensive weapons like Heap, Mason , and etc during that time?

Mason did catch nearly every ball thrown to him. That goes a long way. The same can't be said for Torrey & Jacoby.
Pretty sure the Ravens have one of the fewest drop rates in the league, though they may have changed over the past few weeks.

Firing Zorn was a stupid decision. There's a reason Flacco wanted him around.

Those official 'drop' stats are sort of bogus. Victor Cruz leads the league in drop passes but he probably also leads the league in extraordinary catches. The same goes for Calvin Johnson and Jimmy Graham who are atop the drop pass boards. So for the amount they drop passes they make up for with spectacular grabs.

Plus we just don't pass as much as the teams who lead the drop pass stats. I trust my eyes and feel for the game.

I'm not going to say firing Zorn was a good or bad thing. Because I really don't know.

I dont think firing zorn was a stupid decision im sure there was a big reason why they fired him and it may be alot more to it than we know. Flacco wanted Zorn to stay around because they got along very fine which is ok but what about how he communicated with other coaches, how was his personality on the job,and other important things .

How about Hue Jackson? But I think Harbs has an issue with him.
I like Hue. He'll make our run game go. Gets along with the players.

It might also be because those weapons were slower than what we have now, we threw a lot more short passes than we have been the last 2 years, meaning they ended up complete, instead of all of these deep out routes that cornerbacks just sit on. Also, Flacco almost never threw more than 35 times a game, and Rice had the ball a good 15-20 carries in almost every game. The last two years we've also gotten away from a run-pass balance, which I think helps Joe in particular and this offense in general.
He also had Jason Campbell looking good in Oakland last year before his injury, and as far as mobility and pocket awareness goes 2009 was Flacco's best season (with Hue as the QB coach). He already knows some of the players since he was here before, and it would be a promotion for him.

But like I said, I think Harbaugh doesn't like him. I'm starting to think Harbs is a liability to the offense.

This! I like this idea!
And that is the ONLY way you are going to get another LOMBARDI in baltimore with Harbaugh as the coach.

I don't know who he is, but maybe the offensive line coach from the 49ers. His unit is pretty damn good. He's worked with Jim Harbaugh and his creative offense. He may know a thing or two about offensive football.

This is the kind of outside the box thinking that I like. I still say Caldwell would do a great job and bring in a competent WRcoach as well.

I think the jury is still out on Hostler. Yeah, the WRs have under-performed, but I attribute that to the bland scheme. Torrey has praised him on a few occasions for helping him improve his hands and his route running.

The Norv Turner/San Diego Charger era has now come to an end... or atleast it's on the horizon:

OC Candidates? Norv Turner is finally getting fired in SD?. There is our man!! He's not a great head coach, but he's one hell of an O coordinator. Cameron has no creativity & is holding Flacco back.

Correct answer
Hugh Jackson and Caldwell as QB coaches (If we can have two)
Norv and Hugh as co-oc's. I can dream!

Half of our Christmas Wish is going to be coming true, just the Ravens need to do their part in fulfilling the other half which is to fire Cam Cameron.
