I havent heard anything official yet, just that there is a possibility of that happening. Not saying it won't happen, but why would Norv want to go to Cleveland?

They don't have a QB obviously, but they have a lot of nice pieces for his system. You have the best LT in the game with Thomas (which you need for the Fail Coryell to have any chance of working) and Richardson might be able to be the Tomlinson role and get that consistent yardage. If they ever find a QB and weren't the Browns, they might be dangerous.

I'm glad this is over. I really was tired of Air Coryell - I like the no huddle offense. All I ask is that we find another quarterback coach and that he can work with Joe and Jim.

Looks like the OC job will officially be Caldwell's. Norv is heading to Cleveland.

No big loss for you guys. I don't think Norv is as good as he's made out to be as an OC. Caldwell has done some great things for you guys; stick with him.

There are other threads about this somewhere.

But I hear the thud of some hopes and dreams around here getting smushed.

You may be right. I think we were so much interested in Norv, because we so wanted to get rid of Cam. Since Caldwell and Joe seem to get along pretty good , and the offense is showing noticeable gains, maybe this is for the best.

yup. turner is not that good. chargers have of the talent in the world nothing to show for. besides that turner would become cam v2 here in baltimore.

You must not watch football. Norv wasn't the OC in San Diego. He was the head coach and not involved in the offense as you would think. Norv is one of the best OC in the game and has managed to become a HC after being fired so many times because of his skills as an OC.

On paper this looks like a pretty good move for the Browns. They have strong defense, versatile runningback, strong arm qb, decent offensive line etc.. All they really need to be able to run this system effectively is a good TE and another wideout alongside the developing Josh Gordon. I wouldnt sleep on this move especially depending on how the Browns draft and FA goes.

Also that one guy (name slips my mind) who drops all those passes. The Browns easily could have won 5 more games this year that they lost late in the 4th. That happens with young teams. Weeden is underrated just because of his age and the simple fact that he plays for the Browns. If they keep drafting well, (Holmgren is a smart guy) they could have a bright future.

I guess on the plus side with those big losses, they weren't playoff bound anyway so at least they get a high draft pick. In the end if you aren't making the playoffs, might get a high draft pick. Hell, besides having playoff experience and bragging rights, I would have loved to have the first pick the past few years.

At least the Browns have an O-line, unlike San Diego. Norv Turner is going to revamp that offense and make Trent Richardson into a fantasy stud. Also with that big salary cap space they have, they'll definitely bring in more weapons in WRs, TEs, and O-line. Also, their defense needs some uplifting after a dip in performance. They could raise up up the competition in the AFC North.

Almost forgot about that. Norv Turner got the best out of LT and Ricky Williams despite being a heavy pass guy. He'll work wonders with Trent.

Not gonna lie the mix of Norv Turner and Ray Horton for the Browns along with Chud is a well coached/setup team, slightly scared they will finally be good
