Week 12 - Baltimore Ravens at San Diego Chargers

I can't stand this. It's so annoying. There's no crowd noise in San Diego, and even if there was there's still no excuse for this ineptitude.

To me today is a big test for the coaches. We have last years film. The ability to look at it and figure out a scheme to outplay this team, who isn't even as good as that team last year. So far, not so good. I'm glad Pees figured out that we're able to sack Rivers because his line is awful, but Cam's playcalling is horrendous and I'm still not sure why Joe is so inaccurate on the road. There's been some separation and the lack of connection has been Flacco's fault for the most part (other than the Boldin drop).

Don't forget the Jones drop. Other than that, you were right on the money.

Pathetic showing. Our best drive has been the no huddle up tempo drive with Joe calling the plays at scrimmage. Coincidence, I think not

the defense did okay and held them to 10pts the entire half. the Ravens offense? absolutely nothing....again! so far...that is a total of 6 qrtrs without a score from the Ravens offense. SMH!

I didn't really care for the wide-open WRs streaking across the field... Other then that though, played pretty well.

Well don't put anyone on the field. Norv was ready to let the clock run out. But whatever - take a time out then go for it!
I think Harbaugh expected Turner to call a timeot immediately. It would have made sense they would have had 30 seconds, 2 timeouts to get a field goal. Once Turner was going to let it go down, we should have just let it go or take the timeout as you said. If SD got a TD on that kick return it would have been a really dumb move on our part.

But thankfully ntohing came of it.

werent the bucs down by 14 to the chargers and come out with the win lets not giveup yet
The bucs are one of the highest scoring offenses in the league. Granted, we're in the top 8 I think but special teams has helped bolster that.

While the play-calling has been stale, I do wonder how different things would be had Jones not dropped the reception and had Flacco not missed Pitta for a potential TD. We've struggled in our calls and our execution offensively.

Has this team quit on Cam yet?
Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised if they had.

Do we have two offensive game plans, the home game plan and the road game plan? Obviously our Home Offensive Plan works, so why not use that on the Road?

Come on Ravens! This game is far from over. Let's get some points on the board quickly at the start of the second half. If the team is going to make a run, now is the time to get geared up for January!

Why not switch qbs... Joe isn't mobile and our o line is getting beat... run some screens and quick crossing routes and get back in this... and for all the Flacco fans... Taylor can at least escape the pocket or maybe cam would be forced to call some roll out plays with taylor. It could work... and it would force cam to adjust his game plan. something he doesn't do very often... just some ideas
I'm not a Tyrod fan at all. It's a drastic move that 95% of coaches wouldn't make if they trusted their QB.

Not 100% on Cam. Jacoby dropped a gimme and Flacco missed Pitta for a big gain and potential touchdown. Execution has failed badly this game.

At halftime Flacco is 8 of 16 for whoopping 59 yards. Is this the High Power Offensive Genius of Cam Cameron? Cam's Nightmare re-appeared again - 3rd down and 2 yards, we just don't know how to convert.

Hands on your heart: what are you hoping for? Have you seen ANYTHING today that showed any kind of promise? Of course, we fans always hope - but can you remember the last time we won a road game being 10 down after the first half?

Neither can I.

And, don't get me wrong, I'm neither disappointed nor antgry or mad. The guys (the O) are putting up exatly the kind of performance we could expect. Let's hope the D can turn it up a notch - but in all honesty, I can hardly see the promise for one score for us here, let alone two - and we'd need at least two to win.

What am I hoping for? A loss, of course! I'm so glad that my low expectations of the offense on the road are being fulfilled, ya know? It feels good to know that I don't have enough faith in them to have the unmitigated gall to hope that they might get it together in the second half and pull out a road win against a team they have habitually played horrible against. You're right; hope is for the weak minded.

Its good news that Jones isn't injured, but is it really good news that he's returning? He's been a liability so far today.
