LaQuan and Chykie are fantastic as gunners. Chris Johnson and Anthony Levine, the new guys, even got some time out there and the unit as a whole didn't miss a beat.

I've never been this excited about teams before. Just last year it was a weakness and now a strength. too bad we can't turn around like that with the offense.....

The coverage, which has been a weak point at times through the past few years, was really fantastic tonight. Didn't allow them anything on returns and by continually pinning them deep on their side of the field we were able to grind out a win in which we didn't play particularly well offensively.

Special teams won the day. But defense looked good too. Offense had a rather important part of their anatomy stuck in a lower anatomical hole that normally doesn't see the sun for most of the game, but after last week, maybe they were tired. This whole not playing away very well is really mystifying. To be fair, it is really hard to win in the pitt.

i get the feeling we could be playing at a high school team and we'd still play crappy on O. it seems it doesn't matter how bad the team is, if we are on the road, put it in the books we will play bad.

Its weird though isnt it? I can understand being a little worse on the road, since you are in an unfamiliar location, crowd noise etc, but its like two different teams.

Our return game is so exciting! Jacoby Jones could turn out to be the next Devin Hester! The kickers handled themselves pretty well too, considering Pittsburgh's notorious field.

except for tucker's miss, we were perfect on special teams. i don't remember ever giving them good field position after a kick or punt

This group has really come on this year.

Jacoby is a BEAST. Blocking is great. Punt/kickoff coverage is great. Tucker is great. Koch is great.
