San Diego Super Chargers

I can see us jumping up 2 TDs in the first half thanks to a few bad passes by Rivers. Let's hit it hard from the get go and win this thing.

There is no reason to take this game lightly. It's across the country, they wooped ours last year, and our offense is garbage on the road. Pass rush is the key so I think sizzle has a good game.

Boy am I still pumped after Pittsburgh. Great time even with all the Steeler fans around (most were actually real friendly though). Now time to concentrate on San Diego. Historically tough for the Ravens. But things are looking much worse for San Diego this year than last. They are within a hair's edge of being out of the playoffs and reeling in every sense of the word. Rivers looks mad at life in general and their o line is a complete mess. Jackson is missed and their d while not being bad has been nothing to write home about. What I am hoping for is a serious pass rush from us. Ravens did good last week and hopefully can keep it up. Hoping for big games again from Suggs, Ngata, Kruger and the rest of the gents up front. If the Ravens can hurry Rivers and scare him with a couple of early sacks then he will make those mistakes he is prone to. Every game is big now. I don't think we can catch Houston for the number one but the number 2 seed with a bye would still be huge! Here's hoping.

Think about this: After this game against the San Diego Chargers, the Baltimore Ravens have three more (regular) season games at The Bank and only two games on the road. But, once the game concludes, tomorrow, in San Diego, the Ravens essentially don't have to travel, at all, during the next four weeks.

Other than a quick road trip to FedEx Field, Baltimore has the benefit of finishing the year at home. Heck, a road contest against the Cincinnati Bengals is the least of my concerns. Although the Ravens have to play the Broncos and Giants in the back-to-back weeks, playing those two games at hand is such a benefit that it's not even funny...

With only 6 games left I would hope that the Ravens are approaching each of the remaining games as if it were pburgh week. If we play with that intensity for the rest of the season, there's no reason we can't win out and go far in the post season.

Time to pound some bolts butts!

Okay, my wife has a friend that says "Go Bolt" (no "s") and swears this is something Chargers fans say. I argued it and called this friend a freakin loony bird! Anyone (Ravens or Charger fans) know if there is any truth to this? Tried Googling it and didn't find anything on it.

I'm not a Chargers fan, but for a logical standpoint, it doesn't make much sense.

Just exchanged texts with my nephew who lives in Costa Mesa. He works with a lot of chargers fans, and says they call them the bolts. And he's on his way to the game! Lucky dog...................

Ah. Thank you for clarifying that. I figured as much, but couldn't confirm it. Very lucky.

Asa Jackson is active for the first time in his career!

Oh, by the way, check out this map of today's afternoon games on TV and where each game is going to be shown: http://the506.com/nf.../2012/wk12.html

It's so disappointing how little the Ravens/Chargers game is on the CBS map, who is only showing one game, this week. Besides Maryland/the northern part of Virginia/the south-eastern point of Pennsylvania/southern Delaware/a portion of West Virginia, the only other parts of the country, that's really showing the game, is Minnesota and Washington.

I heard a blurb the other day where they said we have played the bolts, I think they said, 9 times and 7 have been in SD.

Doesn't mean I'm not hopeful or that I won't be cheering my butt off. Besides, I never pick us to win...I'm too superstitious.
Sorry you're superstitious but luck is where preparation meets opportunity. Great teams make their own luck and find ways to win!! Go Ravens! Let's clinch the division this weekend!!
The game was blacked out in San Diego and surrounding areas so unfortunatly i missed it because So.Cal cannot support an NFL team unless it is winning.
