Your right. Rivers makes more INT.
Lol maybe so, but he also scores more pts!

I despise Rivers. He has looked like crud this season fumbling and picking his way to losses every week it seems.

I think our offense will get it going this week. Joe and the receivers tend to have good games after let down weeks. I know it is on the road and all but I think the Chargers are worse than last season. It also appears that our defense is improving even with all the injuries.

I saw some players step up last night, Corey Graham, Johsnon (the new guy!), Kruger, Upshaw, Ellerbe has been a beast and with 2 broken thumbs! Insane. Ngata looking like he is healthy again. Suggs looks like he is about 75% but still a force to be reckoned with. Hell, even Carey Williams is improving.

We did let some guys get WIDE open last night but that is going to happen time to time in football. Other guys make plays too. We stopped them when we needed to and that is all that matters.

Kelly will most certainly be a head coach before OC.
Agreed - Kelly has a great job, he's not leaving unless it's for a serious promotion ala Saban or Schiano.

This is like a reunion - similar to last year. Except now they have McClain and Johnson in addition to Barnes and Gaither. This game has me nervous considering how we were dominated last year.

That goes for both the Ravens and Chargers, though

I'm not worried about crowd noise or nothing. We should be able to communicate good on offense.

I am worried about Ingram, Liuget & Phillips

True, But I think their D improved while ours got drastically worse.

Well the NFL took away our best weapon against crybaby Phillip Rivers .

Ed knows how to play Rivers and it doesn't look like he will be available for the game
due to the ridiculous suspension by the NFL .

The Chargers always worry me. They seem to come up with fantastic performances against us every single year we play them, especially on offense.
I am concerned about their two 6'5" WRs, Danario Alexander and Malcolm Floyd . The Ravens have struggled against the Chargers and this type of receiver in the past and this time we are without Mr. Reed.

Thinking about making the trip down to SD to watch this game, but Im hesitant as last year was very disappointing.

I think the Ravens can clearly win this game, but WC trips are always tough and there is just something about SD...

This is what worries me:

1. "The On the Road Offense" - That produces very little, runs for little, the Receivers don't step up, same ol' offense.

2. With Reed suspended, Rivers takes his shots - This could be the game the Chargers are looking for to come back, and we can fall victim to it.

I'm afraid that this will be a game where the Ravens will 3 and out their way to a loss. We can't afford to have the defense out there for 35+ mins in the whole game. I can see us losing if this does happen.

The offense NEEDS to step up. That's EVERYBODY, especially the OC (imo). No need to explain why.

Some good things:
Front seven are stepping up and the next man up is stepping up on defense.

We find ways to win games. Thanks to special teams and Jacoby Jones.

Likewise. As a fan of Alexander, I can tell you that one of his strengths is reeling in back shoulder throws when the CB fails to turn around. We'll need our secondary to play the ball consistently on those deep throws.

I hope that's all Cary Williams does this week. Work on playing the ball.

Yeah, someone thinks every game is a trap game. Lol.
Admiral Ackbar was clearly ahead of the times when he delivered his now (in)famous line...

Anyways, apparently Le'Ron McClain plays for the San Diego Chargers. When did this happen? Plus, it seems like McClain is hardly getting any playing time.

It would make sense for San Diego to sign McClain, seeing he's big enough to fill the void left by Mike Tolbert's departure to the Carolina Panthers, as well as replace Jacob Hester at fullback. But, isn't it ironic that Le'Ron McClain isn't getting any playing time? After all, wasn't that the reason why he wanted out of Charm City, back in 2011?

As awesome as that Le'Ron McClain/Willis McGahee/Ray Rice trio was in 2008, McClain lost out, in the long run. The Baltimore Ravens needed a blocker for Rice and McGahee, after Lorenzo O'Neal retired. However, McClain wanted to carry the football. But, guess what, he didn't get that with the Kansas City Chiefs and, obviously, he isn't getting what he's wanted in San Diego, either.

Plus, I'm pretty sure every member of The Flock would agree that in a discussion over who's more vital to the Ravens, I'm sure everyone would pick Vonta Leach over Le'Ron McClain, especially given how much of a beast Leach is as a lead blocker.

As long as we don't turn the ball over, I like our chances, even though our offense is putrid on the Road. That will likely continue next Sunday, although I'm hoping we improve in that regard. At some point, the offense is going to have to show up on the Road, right?

We basically win the division with a win next week.
Yep, and remember last year same team cost us homefield advantage throughout. This game scare the tihs outta me.

And Leach has some sick hands for a FB. I mean he's got really good hands.

Yeah, we'd have to pull a Jerry Jones and pay the OC as much as the Head Coach to get Chip Kelly.

If the Defense plays with half the intensity it did against the Steelers then i love the Ravens chances. The offense really has to put a solid road performance together. Way too much talent for this offense not to move for long periods throughout the game.

They say pack your Defense and Special Teams on the road and I think the Ravens will. Hopefully the Offense joins the party

I still believe the Ravens are going to run the table the rest of the season, finish 14-2. San Diego was a nightmare last year, but that was in December, the Charges for whatever reason just don't lose in December. This is November.

Then it's back home to face the Steelers with their 3rd String QB. I see another slugfest, but the Ravens should win simply cause they're at home.

Then the Redskins, sorry, RGIII isn't enough to revive that team and with the way our secondary has really stepped up over the past couple of weeks and a pass happy 'Skins team. Just don't get burned and we should be fine.

Then we got the Manning brothers in back-to-back weeks at home. Giants are getting cold and Peyton, although he's had our number in the past, this is a new team, on the road, without a running game. Not to mention, Peyton has plenty of road woes this year himself.

Lastly, we wrap things up in Cincy. This game won't even matter at this point, but Cincy will still give us headaches as they try to make it into the postseason over the Steelers and Colts. But, I just don't see The Red Rifle giving us many troubles. He was supposed to come into M&T earlier in the year and give us fits and that didn't happen. Must've been the replacements.

My biggest concern isn't the regular season, I'm more concerned just what we're going to do in the postseason. I really don't want to see another heart breaker.

~ Malkavian Raven

We're going to charge Philip Rivers over the river and out of San Diego once and for all come Sunday! Expect at least 3 turnovers from the most overrated QB in football.

Ah man, is Dalton's nickname really, 'The Red Rifle,'?! Damn, that's super cool.
I prefer the Amish Rifle, name-wise. By the way, where do you get your awesome Ravens avis?
