Did anyone else think that Pittsburgh celebrated like they won the game after scoring that touchdown? Or is it just me?

Who cares? They celebrated a touchdown. I could really care less if they celebrate.

A TD against the Ravens in less than sixty seconds.
Yeah that was a good reason to celebrate.

Not a person on this board can tell me they were not scared or nervous or worried after that first TD.

The problem was everyone assumed someone else was going to do it and no one wound up doing their job. That is complacency and it has to be stopped. Or you get embarrassed like that on prime time.

They did, but I think it was more out of shock. When you see the reigning DPoY closing in on a typically immobile QB, you expect things to swing the other way. I wouldn't hold it against them.

5,000. Off topic, I know. But I missed it originally.

He broke two ribs on that play. Byron is out for the Cleveland game

I thought he broke the ribs on the Ihedigbo sack and just jammed his shoulder falling over in the endzone?

Eh, Suggs went inside on a 'prise stunt and probably gets Leftwich there if he was up to his old speed, and he just isn't there yet. He obviously wasn't playing contain or he would have taken the outside shoulder of the tackle and wouldn't have even been in the position to flush the QB out in the first place. It was just a good play by a quicker Leftwich than everyone thought he was, including Leftwich .

Mmmm, doesn't look that way to me, but I'm probably wrong. I would expect Bone Crusher to finish it off too. Eh! If that was the case, hopefully they all learn from it and don't do that again.

... and, after that, the Ravens defense played their best game, tonight; back-up quarterback-or-whatever...
[/quote]
Ahhh if their coach pulls a hurting Leftwich and puts Batch in. Different story I think. Leftwich couldn't reach #18 standing on the 5 yardline, who was open btw

Suggs is coming off a severe injury (how quickly we forget). I'm not at all surprised he can't go full speed. Pollard probably thought Leftwich was going out of bounds and didn't want to get a big penalty and fine (suspension?) for pummeling a qb. Granted, half way out of bounds was a poor position to be in.

Just saw Pollard's interview about the play. He stated that he thought Leftwich was going out of bounds and he didn't want to cause a penalty, which seems reasonable. My favorite quote has to be, "But those are things where now, if a Quarterback is going to the sideline and I got a chance, I swear to you, I'ma kill him." That was hilarious.

That run shows just how bad our defense can look at times. I would not place it squarely on Suggs. Pollard even admits he had a clean shot to take Byrons head off but because of the new NFL rules he had to pull back and tried to tackle him by his arm and he got loose.

The Rules are changing the game and affects every facet of how a Ravens defense plays. We have always been a D that makes it mark when it hits you and makes you think twice about trying that crap again. You can thank the NFL and good old Roger for that score.

Pollard has missed a lot of tackles, and I hope that was assessed with him this week.
Sizzle is still drawing double teams (though he only has one sack so far this year).
For the most part, I'm just glad we won.
