look Joe played mistake free football exactly what we needed to win. with a crappy run game i thought joe made plays where he could a few times he missed throws or didnt see the open guy but on the road against the number 1 d i thought he played exactly how we needed him to. He didnt go above and beyond but he got the job done. no one i think can use that elite word with Joe hopefully in the next 5 years we can but right now he is winning games by playing effectively and i wont complain about that.

No, I won't, because those videos don't exist.

Beyond his off-season quote about considering himself the best QB in the league and a quote about considering himself "elite" I vaguely remember being brought up prior to the Texans game in 2010, I don't remember Joe ever calling himself "elite" on video.

He said that privately to the colts. Obviously you don't say that to a stranger, the colts and Manning probably got close during the draft process. My question to you is, where is the video of Peyton calling himself Elite? their are plenty of videos of Joe saying it.

I thought you said you were done in this thread? You should stop because the more of this nonsense you post the more misinformed you sound.

like what? Saying the Texans were better than us this season, or was it when I claimed the secondary is overrated? Also what is your opinion on the ravens if everything I post is nonsense?

Joe choke when the team needs him most? Did he not orchestrate a brilliant and pin point accurate drive to beat Pitt with Big Ben @ heinz last year? Or how about the perfect ball for Lee Evans that would've put us in the SB. Joe put the ball where it needed to be with the game on the line, in my eyes he got us to the SB last year. He outplayed Brady in Foxboro in the AFCC. He may not be consistent but if anything he's clutch. He didn't turn the ball over at all tonight and in a defensive battle the team that wins the turnover margin usually wins the game. Flacco knows he could've played better but at the end of the day we got the W. .

God I hate ignorant statements like this. HE DID NOT OUTPLAY BRADY.

He played well against the worst defense in the league.
Brady Played good against one of the best defenses in the leage.

Had Brady Been playing against his own Defense, he would have Blown it up. Not even close.

Oh, so defensive quality is what we use to determine quarterback play now? THAT is the ignorant statement, sir. Flacco has put up comparable numbers to the ones he put up in the AFCCG against the Patsies against the #1 defense in the league in the Steelers AT THEIR HOUSE, so don't gimme that guff.

Flacco 61.1 Completion Percentage 306 yards 2 TDs 1 Int
Brady 61.1 Completion Percentage 239 yards 0 TDs 2 Int - Both of which were bad decisions.

Verdict: Outplayed. Even Patriots fans agreed and were dogging Brady all night.

NO NO NO you can't take this game away from joe! This is one of Joes best playoff games ever.. Please don't bring up how bad the patriots defense is because that will only show how favorable of match up that was for him. (sarcasm) :bitenails:

Just stop dude!

The Texans have had a good run so far and smoked us in a perfect storm for them. Better than us? I don't think one game proves that. They looked like losers yesterday at home against a bottom tier team and were fortunate to get the W.

The secondary? Overrated by whom? They are what they are and losing Webb hasn't helped the chemistry. I think come January they will be fine.

My opinion on the Ravens is that we are 8 and 2 , lead the AFC North and still have a shot at the #1 seed. Are we the "perfect team" yet? No. Still a work in progress, especially offensive communication on the road and defensive execution. And I also think Joe is a top 5 QB in this league. Period.

A tip for the near future kasias.... Don't mess with longtime members and or mods on here.... Horrible idea I would know.
Anyway. Secondary.... Injured, and Jimmy hasn't taken the next step yet....
8-2 is still a playoff team as far as I am concerned.
Whole lotta haloti.... Flacco isn't top 5 yet..... He's number 7

ROFL you guys cannot be serious!

Brady gets credit for 'playing good' against a tough D but Flacco 'stunk it up' against an even tougher D???

Brady vs Ravens 22/36, 61.1% comp, 239 yds, 6.6 yds/att, 0 TD, 2 INT, 57.5 QB rating

Flacco vs Steelers 20/32, 62.5% comp, 164 yds, 5.13 yds/att, 0 TD, 0 INT, 75.5 QB rating

Be consistent at least

Haha. I can't believe I'm considering staying out of Ravens Talk for my mandatory four days ( after a loss ) AFTER A WIN!

A win = loss around here for some odd reason.

That's simply not true. Our defense played well, but Joe absolutely Balled out that game. You could also say that New England has better players, but of course there's no one on the field but quarterbacks.

This fanbase continues to leave me at a loss for words. No one on here is going to argue with the fact that Flacco missed several throws tonight. But as I said in another thread, each game for every team in the league is its own microcosm. Throw out your conceptions of our opponent beating so-and-so last week or us beating whoever last week, it is going to have ZERO affect on the game that is in the present. All 32 teams have professional players who are paid to do a job and from what I've seen, the overwhelming majority play their hearts out on the field. No victory is easy. Am I concerned about our offense? A little bit, only in the sense that obviously we all want to see them put up big numbers. Well guess what, it doesn't always work that way. We were playing the #1 defense in their house, our two victories at Heinz are the only two such losses they have suffered in their home confines as of late. Yet you'd think our team did absolutely nothing based on some of your pessimistic comments. No one is denying our team has tons of work to do to improve in EVERY facet of their game, but for you armchair QBs, can I ask which team in the league is playing perfect right now? I am so sick and tired of the people on these forums who are going to continue doubting our team, you know who you are. I in no way, shape, or form have my purple blinders on. I am one of the most objective sports fans you will ever converse with which is why I can truly appreciate a gritty, extremely hard fought victory like last night's. As Harbaugh has said in the past: "Was it pretty? No, but it was us!" The good teams (see Houston, Atlanta, Denver, Green Bay, and THE RAVENS yesterday) always find a way to win because nothing will ever go as you may have planned in a game. Be a true fan and enjoy this moment and W because last night's game will never happen the same way in any future matchups, and that is the point I am trying to get across. Any given Sunday people. Now, onto the Chargers!

I swear that a lot of these people get the reality of the NFL confused with fantasy. I can't think of any other explanation for all of the negativity and cynicism.

Raven Nation my dear family must I remind us all of the brutal years without a decent quarterback. I came from a highschool where we've won 6 state championships, three the past three years (Yes I'm bragging a little), I'm sure a lot of you also played some football in your life time. That being said, do you remember the feeling of being in the playoffs? It's live or die!!! Expect this Raven team to blow up during the playoffs, the 2012 Baltimore Ravens are a clutch team!
