one thing is for certin..... if we win this game we are lookin at playoffs and going deep into them. the last team that we played that wasnt a gimme was the titans i believe and we wernt ready for that. lately we faced tallent but in diffrent areas a good de and cb here a good wr and qb there( there are no good rb aginst us). this is the first time, since we have seen much improvement, that we face a team that is hittin on all cylinders. success or failure this will be a taste of things to come for the remainder of the 08-09 season. but personally i thin were gonna have em blowin snot bubbles frome the hits we are gonna lay on em

I wont take too much account into this game. If we win, it's great but I wont be out popping champagne bottles and if we lose, it's not like we are doomed or anything. There should be no pressure on us at all b/c we are picked to lose the game(underdogs).

Take away their run which is like 60% of their O and we are good!

Don't get it twisted, I want us to win and winning against the Super Bowl Champs is a confidence booster out of this world but if we lose putting up a fight like we did with Pittsburgh and Tennesse, I will still be happy(more-so bitter-sweet). We could easily be 8-1 right now and by us giving the Steelers and Titans great games the Ravens have already shown me they can swing with the best of them, it doesn't take this upcoming game to really show me this!
Watching the Giants/Eagles game right now, I'm starting to think next week's game is VERY winnable if the Ravens commit no turnovers and control the clock as they have in the past couple of games.

One of the big keys will be Baltimore's ability to run. Taking away Donovan McNabb's two runs for 28 yards thus far, the Eagles have only managed under 70 rushing yards combined. If the Ravens can run the ball better than Philly, then that dials into ball control and time of possession.

Another big key will be pressuring Eli Manning. Assuming the Giants' ground attack is contained (which will be a difficult task unto itself), Manning can be pressured into making mistakes. Though he throws the ball on the run better than a lot of his peers, he has also thrown a couple of near-INTs and one pressure INT tonight.

The Eagles' crucial flaw in tonight's game (regardless of the outcome -- it's at the two-minute warning right now) has been their inability to run the ball. They couldn't run to set up the pass, and that forced the game onto McNabb's shoulders. The Ravens can't force the game onto Flacco's shoulders, regardless of how well he's played the past couple of weeks.
Let's not forget that this game was on the road as well. The Giants are undefeated at home and are outscoring opponents by 83 points at home. On the road they have one loss and are outscoring opponents only by 19 points.

I think it would be a much more "winable" game, if we had them in Baltimore. They went into a tough Philly environment, in a tough physical game, and came out with a win.
Flex schedule.
it could change.

If the NFL has been paying attention this could be a HOT pick for the 8:30 slot.

As far as the Ravens go. Patch the holes in our secondary and we will have a good chance.
Yeah just like another user said, NBC must be notifed of the change 12 days before the game but they could move the Ravens/Giants game to 4:15pm instead of 1pm. But I was looking at the Ravens schedule, and yes, I do agree that this game should be on sunday night football, hell I'll argue the fact it should be on Monday Night Football. But one game that NEEDS TO BE MOVED to Sunday Night Football, is the December 14th game against the Steelers. By this point(unless we get more help in the form of the Steelers losing or Steelers get help by us losing) that game should be the deciding factor of who wins the AFC North. If NFL was smart, they would move that game to Sunday Night Football, with the division title on the line(and by the looks of the current seeding) a first round bye and the # 2 seed would be on the line as well. This is truly the only game left on the Ravens schedule(besides the Giants game) that belongs on Sunday Night Football.

The Giants had 219 rushing yards. If we can limit that to our average 62, that is a football field and a half. 4.9 YPC will not happen against us. They will have to throw.

They had 181 yards passing. Each team had a lost fumble and an INT. If we can beat them in turnover ratio we will win.

I'm scared because they have a good defense, like us, but also have a great offense, while ours is gaining momentum its nowhere near as good as theirs after watching the game last night im scared. I still have hopes though, i'll be reppin the purple at the giants game

If our D-Line doesn't get adequate pressure on Eli, he will eat our secondary for lunch... We have yet to face a back with the size and speed of a Brandon Jacobs. This is going to be a hard-fought game, and while I always am hopeful of a victory, a loss wouldn't surprise me in the least.

The Ravens will win this game. They have the best offensive coordinator in Football right now and if you don't think so he went 8 weeks without using his true #1 receiver Todd Heap. The Ravens will win this game by playing the same awesome defense they regularly do. On offense it is Bring the pain McClain's turn the Giants have a very tough run defense so what do we do we get our two Punishers O'Neal and McClain to beat the snot out of them and let McGahee finish the job while Flacco keeps doing his thing.

I like the Ravens, too. If we can run the ball for around 150 yards and hold them under, or around 100, I think the game is ours! Take away the run, FORCE Eli to pass, and you beat the Giants! Eli puts up most of his gaudy passing stats in running situations using play action! The whole key to this game is stopping their Running game, while running the ball down their throats! Whoever wins TOP, probably wins this game!
The redskins vs Cowboys is the main game next Sunday at 8:30. They mentioned it at least 10 times during the giant vs eagles game. They let everyone know if the game will be flex 12 days before the game. But they usually flex games that have an impact on the standings. The ravens vs Giants game has no drama, if the giants lose nothing happens to them in the standings because its an AFC team.
Its the game that most of the country will see at 1 p.m. next week.

Yes, they have. They face Leron McClain every day in practice and Lendale White isnt exactly an easy load to bring down either.

How can anyone doubt this team???????? We all know we really beat the arguably best team the "titans", who because of a blown call won the game against us. I honestly believe the Ravens will have control of this game early. I'm very confident in our offense, I believe our defense will make the timely plays for us. Ravens win 21-13. And just to tick off any Giants fans that may be on here...... your team is OVER-rated.

as long as we can establish the play action passes and flacco says cool.. We match up well... Our secondary is going to have to be on its toes and not bite on plays... we have to have man on man on burress and not let them throw over us to burress.... Thei D is a nasty front 7 lol... O line has to block and we may have to bring in extra help to buy flacco time but i do predict we win.. I watch the giants game every sunday and i honestly think we got a 50% of winning this game.... My bro is a giants fan as well so we def got money on this game
It looks like the eagles have unveiled Brandon Jacobs fumbling problems. We have to exploit this before their staff fixes it. And they move the ball with majority runs.
I am pretty sure that everyone knew as a PHYSICAL running back you have alot greater chance of fumbling. When you are on your feet longer with many defenders taking you down they reach for the ball

more. I dont think this is a shocking discovery. We should not under estimate Brandon Jacobs for a second, even thou we have the #1 rush defense. I could possibly see Jacobs getting a 100yrd rushing game.

I hope not but I would not be shocked.

I think we need to keep rolle on burress and have him able to bite on the short passes and keep ed reed over the top just in case of the double move. Especially on 3rd down, the one place Eli wants to go with

the ball is to burress. I think ray and our other LB can cover boss and the main thing we need to watch is how our rookies cover toomer.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the exotic 6 and 7 man DB sets on 3rd and long where Rolle, Washington, Walker, Ivy, Zbi, Haruki, and Reed are all out there.

that would be sweet and have like 2 of them show coverage and just blitz... and have ray drop back and play coverage in the middle..
