I don't know whether I'll be excited or dissapointed if Big Ben's wife goes into labor on Sunday.

OHH.....Such Steelers Love during this Week. The Ravens should have saved some of that offensive power load they had today against the Raiders. 28-17 Steelers all day. We have 4 out for the KC Game. We should have a full team in affect for BMORE.
I advise all Steelers fans to stay off this forum this week. You stay on your side, we stay on ours......

The difference between those OAK/TEN games and this Chiefs game was that the first two were on the road. The Steelers are at home for this one, so I really don't see an upset. We'll see though.

Feel like we're walking into a Buzzsaw next week..

Hope the Ravens prove me wrong
How can a team that just won 55-20 be walking into a buzzsaw? Maybe they are...

Right but coming off of today, we should have just as much momentum as they do. And we haven't lost at Pitt since 2009 so there's no reason we can't win there again.

Banged up Oline+loss of best WR+suspect running game+old defense=overrated team with easy schedule who hasn't beaten a decent team yet (Giants don't count, they are in there November screwup mode, neither does Philly)

Despite all those issues and whether you consider them overraed or not (I don't), this is going to be a tough game. Roethlisberger and Wallace are as dangerous a QB-WR combo as there is, their o-line has managed to open holes in several games this year, and their D can still rise to the occasion.

Outside of Suggs probably going off, I have no idea what to expect from the D. Hopefully, Joe and company come out strong early like they did against Cleveland, even if it doesn't result in 14 first quarter points.

Lately its been scary going on the road. But Pittsburgh is sort of like our second home (kinda of a crappy location for a second home if you ask me). We always tend to play Pitt tough in Pitt no matter how good or bad we look.

I fully expect this game to come down to the last drive......again.

You've obviously have never been to the USC campus..... If you are a UCLA fan anyway.....
Flacco has the it factor, so if his WR hold onto it, then we have a hot hand...... We on fire now.... Let's keep it up

The steelers are significantly better than the raiders.
No way next week resembles this week.

It's that magical place with three really crappy nfl teams, Disney world, and the worst education system in the country. I know a guy who was put into all AP courses in Florida who is as dumb as soup. JK
I meant today, not saying everyone is dumb, Da U is a good school. Those teachers tho yuk...... Makes me happy to live in Cali.

The Steelers still look like a very hard team to beat. Roethlisberger is playing very well, their running game (at times) works fine and their defense is back on top (ranked 1st over all), which is something our defense wasn't able to achieve.
However this week showed me, that we truely can win against the Steelers in Pitt. Cinci steamrolled the Giants, which immediately taints the Steelers most "impressive" victory and our offense looked like it figured out how to handle the tough choice between Rice and Flacco during games (atleast I hope so).
I don't know, how I feel about our defense though, especially against the pass, but then again the Steelers did manage to lose to the Titans and that is by no means a punishing defense.
Winning the Division and gaining homefield advantage would be sweet. That's like a garantee that Elite Flacco would show up for the playoffs.

The thing about Steeler week is the bandwagon that gets loud with all the trash talk. Fortunately our 2 bosses are a Cowboys fan and a Raiders fan, which has, of course, been fine with me. I would love nothing more than to sweep them again. These people are very obnoxious.

#1 Thing in order for us to win big games.

Offense needs to figure out how to stay on field.

less injuries
keeps our defense fresh
helps use multiple weapons
exhaust their defense
keeps the opponent desperate and stay away from their scheme's.

Boy the more things change the more things stay the same. Seems real similar to last year's matchup. Ravens having some issues with injuries as well as Pittsburgh (I think Reed is okay though. He has lost a bit of his ability to wrap up over the past couple of years though. QBs won't throw near him for the most part though. That is where he is still golden. Im real happy Ngata didn't play today. Because he wasn't needed! Some more rest could do him wonders). Ravens had lost an ugly game to Jacksonville and then barely beat AZ at home and Pittsburgh was coming in on a hot streak last year as well. Pending the very likely probability that Pittsburgh beats KC tomorrow it should be a game for first place in the division; just like last year! Still that Raiders game was a real confidence booster! What a way to go into the next game; feeling like you can conquer the world! Hopefully the outcome is the same as last year ha! In regards to defense I just don't think the statistics are telling the whole story. I am still not very impressed with Pitt's D, no matter what their ranking. They are having serious issues just like we are. Both teams though are good and are definately playoff material as usual. A bit off topic but I think all AFC teams are going to have serious trouble beating Houston though. Wow they are looking good. One game at a time though. Sorry for the lengthy post. Getting pumped for the trip to Pittsburgh!

Their Line is worse than ours. They can't provide pass rush, and they can't cover Suggs. We could win it easily, if Balanced Cam Cameron shows up, we are as good as any of them....... Flacco and Rice need it evenly, they cannot stop that. Flacco needs 300 yards, and rice needs 100

Let's not talk about easy schedules, there's no easy game in this league look at the Patriots yesterday... And that's just one example.

For me it comes down to the things that helped us win games against Pittsburgh and the things that killed us against them.

So here are MY top 5 priorities for this game :

- No turnovers, especially not in the second half if we're up, if we let them generate momentum in their tomatoe field on sunday night, it's going to be very tough.

- Generate a real pass rush and 3rd downs stops, If we let Ben moonwalk in the pocket like he wants, it's going to be tough, we've seen too much 3rd and long where he kept the play alive and converted.

- Wrap up. Yeah it's smashmouth football best rivalry in the game and all, but if we hit Redman and Dwyer, we better go low and wrap them up. Same for Heath Miller.

- Running game. Our running game hasn't been as good as we wanted it to be in the last games, O-Line's fault ? Rice ? Cam ? Anyway we can't put it on Joe's shoulders only this weekend we need balance on offense and power running, i'm not very optimistic about Pierce searching for this outside on strech runs against Harrison, Timmons and Woodley

- Special Team battle. Maybe it will come down to 3 points ? J.Tucker will maybe have a chance to show he can win games for us on the road against a hostile crowd, and in game won in the trenches, position battle is crucial, that's why we need no mistakes on special team coverage and return, no stupid holds or blocks...

I might have forgot some key points, make sure you guys correct me.

It's Ravens Steelers week, which is the longest week of the year for me !!!

Go Ravens !!!

Slim

Should be a good game. I would give the Squeelers a 3pt home advantage, however I expect our Offense to win the game, while our D gives up 400 yds

While we will never overlook the Steelers, it is a stretch to call them a good team. They're just as inconsiyas we are. But because they are media darlings, their inconsistency and aging issues will always be overlooked.
