Yanda and Williams WERE listed as "Out" by PFT

7 posts in this topic

Yes, I know that PFT is as reliable as a presidential poll ;) but a post this evening stated that both Marshal Yanda and Bobbie Williams - both our starting guards - are OUT for the Oakland game... along with Haloti Ngata.

IF this is true... do we start Oher and McKinnie at OT, K.O. and Harewood at OG, and Birk at C? That leaves only Jah Reid and Gino on the bench...

Has anyone heard confirmation, on any other website?

I'd be happy with that lineup, Oaklands d-line hasn't been as dominant in recent years and Richard Seymour is listed as questionable for the game. Who knows maybe Rice will gash them for 200+ like Doug Martin did last week.

The Ravens injury report has those 3 guys as questionable. I'm much more inclined to believe this site over PFT.

Agreed, at home - even with Harewood and KO starting at guard - we could handle Oakland's DLine. However, ankles are an injury that can linger, and we definitely would want Yanda - perhaps the best guard in the NFL - back for the game AT Pitt...

Yeah, PFT is the National Enquirer of the NFL. Hopefully, they meant "Out of practice today"... but that's not how the article reads...

We have a pregame thread and a game thread where this could have been reported, especially since it is PFT which is not known for accuracy.
