So the ending is disappointing? First Mass Effect 3, now this game. Seriously I am doubting getting any more games unless they are disappointing-free.

I can't really say much without spoiling the ending and I'm not smart enough to put a spoiler alert and hide it from those whom don't wish to see it. All I can say is, I expected this to happen at some point but the way in which it was done was kind of nonchalant.

As I stated before, I'm really curious as to where the franchise goes from here.

The ending was very cliche. But that's what sequels are for.

Btw, I think I'm going too scream very loudly if I see another panda. :th_padded:

Is this one any good? The last one was kind of a disappointment. My favorite AC games were 2 and Brotherhood. I think I'll finish Arkham City first before I consider picking this one up.

Is it worth buying it new? -- I'd say 'no'. Some of the weapons and outfits you can either build or attain throughout the game are better than any of the additionals you get with a new copy. So, I'd say if you're not into the specialty stuff -- then get it used and save yourself a few bucks.

Is it any good? -- Kind of an open ended question, but I'd have to say that 'yes' it is worth playing. The fundamentals of the game are still there. The treasure & feather hunts, now they're are almanac pages to capture as well. Once you beat the game, there is the Iota challenge to do as well which activates cheats.

I will forewarn you though, multiplayer isn't what it used to be. And the overall "replay" value of the game isn't there. It didn't take me any time at all to finish this game with 100% Synchronization, 100% Game Completion.. now I just play it to go around killing people. I'm waiting to pony up the money to get the Tyranny Of Washington missions. Christmas has kind of put a damper on that.

I started over and am taking it more seriously this time. I'm knocking out all 7 forts right now. It's actually really fun because you find a lot of those little villages or farms and it's kinda cool just to check them out. I also really enjoyed watching battles. I noticed how when you take over a fort, the patriots actually engage in gunfights with the lingering British. I'm a huge history nerd so this is really cool to watch for me lol. Also bought some new outfits. Haven't gotten 100% synchronization but I'm taking it in more this time. Just a question, if anyone has the ps3 version...i redeemed the Benedict Arnold missions today. Will I get to play those in my current story or would I have to start over for those to be added in?

You should be able to play them in your current story as well as the new campaign you've started. I didn't actually redeem mine until I was about 70% of the way through the game and still played them.

Did you redeem your other codes? U-Play pass & Mayan ruin / Captain Kidd Sawtooth sword?

Yep, got the u-play one but I'm disappointed with multiplayer so I don't really use it. I'm not sure which one the Mayan ruin was, I only had two codes I believe.

Yep :/. Oh well. I think I can buy it for $4.99. Of course I have $4.95 in my balance so I am literally 4 cents short. Real bummer.

Using a combination of hidden blades and spear ropes, simple snare them with the spear rope to bring them to the ground and then rush over to finish them off with the hidden blade. Easy peasy!

I wouldn't say "progressing", as I've done all there is to do, even the Tyranny Of Washington missions (which aren't worth the money, imo).

I broke down and bought the Mass Effect Trilogy. Taking my time on the first one. I've got nearly 30-hours in, not sure how far I am in the story line, but I just blew up some medical facility that killed one of my crew. Really wish I would've taken his armor and guns away before they obliterated him.

It's a great series. It could seriously rival Star Trek and Star Wars. I'm sure you've heard about the whole ending of ME3 Fiasco.

Finished ME1, onto ME2 now. A HUGE uptake in graphics & interfaces on this game. The map takes a little getting used to. Do not like the new controller layout either; one would think they would have "ME1" under the "Wireless Controller Configuration" menu.

I've already got the doctor, the mercenary and thief. Just finished saving Archangel (Garrus). I'm going to take a break today though.

ME 2 is awesome! I strongly recommend getting everyone and doing their loyalty missions before the final mission. Be sure to make a separate save before the mission too. I don't want to reveal too much.

There's lots of ways to be renegade here.

Definitely do all of the loyalty missions Panda. If you do them all and use logic in the suicide mission (aka knowing who is good with tech/computers, who is a powerful biotic, who is a good leader other than Shep), you should come out smelling like roses with your crew intact. Not to mention doing them shows more about the character in question, and counts as achievements/trophies, haha.

Anyway, back on subject...still haven't finished AC3. Dead Space 3 co-op currently has my friend and I completely sucked in...

I just finished Revelations, the last in the Ezio trilogy (I've been busy what can I say lol). Loved how they wrapped in Altair's last days in with the game as playable missions. I still remember playing the first one in like 2008, having no idea what the game was about and then being floored when the second one came out.

Damn these games are just awesome, the way they tie in history, real events, real people into this massive kind of search for truths and justices with the origins questions all the while evaluating human motives is unlike any game(s) I've ever played.

I really liked COD 2,3 and 5 (WAW). The 3rd one because I'm Canadian and you NEVER see Canadians depicted in WW2 video games so for me that was like "oh damn, I actually get to (virtually) go where they went". The 5th one because its the final months of the war on the Eastern Front and the closing months were total chaos, something I thought the game did a pretty good job depicting.

One beef though I always have with Eastern Front settings however is it's always the same battles played out. If someone could properly do an Eastern Front WW2 game then that game would be so mind blowing I don't think it could be duplicated.

The milking continues with Assassin's Creed 4. We knew it was coming but damn. These countless sequels are one of the things I hate about this generation of games.

Assassin's Creed 4 makes no sense. That's not an important era historically, whether or not it's pirates before or after the revolution. And that's ignoring the fact that Desmond can't be the conduit for the computer thing. I didn't even like the ship combat part of the game. It was horrible until you upgraded, and even then it still sucked. It was a good idea that was poorly executed, mostly because old timey ship to ship combat doesn't work.

That was a weak plot device anyway, it made the story complicated for complication's sake.

AC:I, AC:II.I, AC:II.II, AC:II.III and AC:III have all been great up to this point; save for AC:III's lack of replay ability.

I would agree, the naval missions from AC:III weren't so great that I would base an entire game around it, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt this one time.

As for Desmond's "demise", since we don't know if he is truly dead or not; I wouldn't mind them introducing a new character. Maybe even find a clever way to bring back Subject Sixteen (or at least his puzzles).

As for any potential improvements this time around; I'm still riding the idea they need to come up with a story that includes multiple users in the Animus. It would open the realm of "character specific" missions, making it impossible to complete some missions with one character until you've completed previos missions (chronologically) with another character.

You could even have missions where both users are plugged in at the same time and you can switch back and forth during said mission.

Regardless the popular opinion of the game, I will give it a chance but if it bombs worse than AC:III -- then I would be very skeptical myself about buying into AC:V.
