Week 9 - Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns

1,518 posts in this topic

I have no problems with the score at all, I thought it would be a one-possession game coming down to the last snap, so it ended up beiong an easier one than I thought it would be.

But... I hope the fact that we won won't blind anyone in the FO about the overall performance of the O which was strongly bipolar to coin a phrase: very good at times, NFL Europe-level at other times. Sadly, it was mostly the latter one.

Seems like it's back to square one: once again the D bailed out the O. All the hype about the Ravens becoming an O-first teram seems to be dying out, as the O seems to have run out of gas after the Pats game. Since then it's sheer mediocrity at best.

I thought our offense and defense played well in crunch time after a long hiatus but do you really see us beating the Giants,Broncos ,Steelers and San Diego and Cincy away?

To any Browns fans on these boards, I hope you lose your team again. Your team' players are dirty. They started every single fight and never got one penalty for it. And your coach is terrible. He pretty much lost the game for you all

6-2. Certainly doesn't feel like it though.

Took my nitroglycerine today. When they took the lead, I took a bayer.

Can someone tell me why they called unsportsmanlike on our bench? I'm assuming a coach or a player got in a ref's face or something, but you never know...

so, both the browns and bengals lost today. we need a steelers loss coming up next vs the giants to sit alone atop of the AFC North. let's go giants!

Little scary that they almost lost to a team that looks like a junior college at times, but 6-2 is 6-2 no matter what it took to get there. Thank goodness the division game was the Browns though because I would have been overly worried if they played the Steelers like that.

I don't know if it was his words so much as running out onto the field of play.

Joking aside it definitely wasn't pretty all the way through but I am happy we won, now if pitt loses I will be even happier.

perk...one minute you say that the WRs are getting open and then you say to throw the ball???? lol!

~Mili
LOLOL nah bud, I was saying they arn't getting Open, that doesn't mean i didn't want them to throw the ball. Just run different Routes. ( quick slants and bootlegs to trick the D into thinking its a run) It worked on the first drive. I was raging earlier and have kept quiet about Cam this season but im done with that. The guy needs to go, sick of us going right back to the run when it doesn't work. The No huDDLE doesn't work every time but we have no problem, quitting on that. I say stick with it, we don't have a problem running it when the Box is stacked.

Uh, I remember the Ravens driving down the field and scoring a TD in the fourth quarter with a few minutes left. I also remember the Ravens D stepping up multiple times and eventually not letting the Browns score one touchdown. Gimme a break, 'Greatness'. The Ravens won to game. I called your bluff.

Funny how every other team seems to not have the same problem. You dont have to be 10 yards from a defender to be open. There are open players on EVERY play, Joe just cant read the field to save his life. And in the rare chance he finds someone, he cant even hit him. You in fact dont know what your talking about kid. It doesnt take 5 seconds to throw the ball.....stop defending poor play
Okay, Mean While Weeden is under throwing the ball on almost every play. Can you Blame Flacco, dude has to worry about getting Flat on every play because of Oher and Company collapsing almost the whole game.

it pisses me off! jam the receiver and get in their faces!

~Mili
Especially when J.Smith is supposed to be soooo physical , i mean the kid is going to get burned anyways so why no buy a few seconds for our D line to get pressure or get their hands up on Weeden.

Can check how many (and which) defensive players and offensive linemen got a positive grade in the game?

Our defence looked a hell of a lot better when Kruger wasn't in. McClellan and Upshaw are far far better in the run game. I don't know why we don't go back to Kruger as a pass specialist keeping him fresh and maybe we would get more pressure

i know Perk. i really was expecting for Jimmy to impose his will on WRs by getting in their faces and throwing a couple of bows. lol! i wonder if Pees is calling for any pressing plays?

lol, oh you so silly. You're too much. Let's forget that the Browns WR's betrayed Weeden doing their best impersonations of Lee Evans. If the Browns weren't such a bad team, this game would've been a blowout in the other direction. The Ravens did what they needed to do in order to win, but let's not lose sight of the fact about how we won.

You really think this sort of play is going to get us closer to a Lombardi? Terrible Coaching and adjustments not putting our players in the best position to succeed. Constantly losing the battle in the trenches on both sides of the ball when adjustments are made by the opposing team.

But it's all good. We're 6-2 atop the AFC north. None of sloppy playing or anything matters until we lose more games or in the playoffs. I forgot I never seen this movie before. Yeah, my bluff was called. Haha

to be a game ahead of the steelers means nothing at this point, especially since we have to play them 2xs in 3 weeks.
