Anyone else think the next two games are must wins?

All the conference games are a must win now for the sake of winning the division and getting home field advantage if possible. Losing to the Skins or Giants wouldn't hurt as much as a loss to the Browns.

After what I have seen from this team the last few games, it seems like every game is a "must win". I'm not even feeling confident about the Cleveland game any more.

agree, since the Ravens seem to not play as well on the road

The "must" win games are the Steeler games. If we sweep them, we will get an edge in the tie breaker. So two wins may equal three wins, if we end up in a tie with Pittsburg. Ten W's, with a sweep of the Steelers, should = AFC North Champions.

5-4 should be enough for the rest of the season, if we can sweep the Steelers. If would be nice to clinch a play off berth in week 14.

Good analysis, Coach Billick! I wish you were still at the helm. Too bad Bisciotti let his ego get the best of him. Unfortunately, it permeates down through the entire organization. I don't hear too many people singing Ozzie's praises lately either. Egos have no place in decision-making. This is especially true in coaching. The entire coaching staff should eat a good helping of humble pie before they have to eat some crow. I agree with your analysis with one notable exception. If we lose the next two games, there is no way we will sweep the Steelers. As Coach George Allen was fond of saying, "The future is now."

I'm glad to read Harbs agrees with some of us in this game is a must win situation.
This game has A LOT of importance placed upon it.
A make or break game, I still say. ;)

I think they're "must wins" because otherwise these forums are going to meltdown in epic proportions. If we lose this weekend, I'm taking a week off.

Ill fill in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, yes they are must wins, and they should win. We dont lose at home, Pit plays worse on the road then we do, and Texans are beatable. We still have a chance to win it all. But yes, to effectivly win the division based on record, yes.

Honestly, I think we'll be fine. I'm nervous thinking about the possibilities of what could go wrong in Cleveland, but I really think we're going to win, and probably convincingly.

Normally, I'd say I wasn't concerned about the Browns being a problem, but after what's gone down this season, it's a reminder that this is the NFL, and anything can happen. The Raiders are a dangerous team, and one I'm more concerned about than the Browns. I think as long as we come out of the last Pitt game with a better record than them, we'll be in good shape to make the playoffs.

Id say we have to worry about all but cleveland and oakland. Personally I think the season is in our offenses hands. Our defense is falling a part if not collappsed already, and we are going to play a lot of heavyweight offenses. With that being said as of right now, it feels like our defense is going to get a lot of yards put up on them and a lot of scores. So our ffense has to be ready to go toe to toe with these teams because I just dont se our defense leading us to the promise land like it used to. Our defense in its prime used to practically be able to score as much points on defense as tom brady does on offense! But all we can hope for is that our defenders play with heart and dont ever give up, hopefully reeeeed will still cause the occassional pick, and I know suggs will still be a migraine for Qbs but I just hope our offense gets its stuff together because IMO they are the key to the ring.

i agree ,the offense's performance will determine how far we go this year .We will have to see more 30 + offensive point totals
i dont think scoring 20 or so is gonna help us much against most of the teams we face the rest of this year.

I believe the next few are must wins as the Steelers are gaining momentum as we are obviously losing momentum from a struggling offense and defense. We are at a turning point in our season and if we lose to the Browns and Steelers i do not think we could not recover.

We are a team without a way to get back to our strengths. We cannot stop the run, we most assuredly cannot stop the pass and our offense has trouble at any spot on the field. Cam blames Flacco, Flacco is in denial saying we will get better as we go along. As i see it we have the best talent we have access to already on the field and we are still struggling and teams see our weaknesses. Our receivers cannot get off of a block, Our O'line is a strainer so the best we can do is run the ball and we just ignore our best offensive threat.

Our corners, williams and Smith are nothing special, one NEVER plays the ball and the other is still a year away from being a decent corner as he bites on every first move by a receiver.

We all blamed Cam and pee's and we need just look at the head coach to finally have the nerve to speak up and force some changes. If Flacco is keeping the Ball out of Rices hands by changing the plays at the line then take away that power as he obviously is getting it wrong at least 40% of the time. The guy gets flustered under pressure so why give him the power to change plays. Until you see growth and maturity from Flacco he is not ready for that power. If he is an elite quarterback then Rodgers is a football god.

those games are must wins for sure. (That is what i thought before the season)

looking at our schedule we are glad at standing 5-2. this could easily be 3-4. we had a lot of luck so far.

we have to get better in every phase of the game to be a real playoff contender again. our defense played like crab so far. our offense is okay but has way too many off-phases. special teams are okay.

the only one playing on a consistent high level is our kicker. and that should tell you something.

hope the comeback of suggs has some kind of special impact on our guys. i don´t think that the loss of ray hurts us bad because he didn´t do anything special so far this year.
the loss of webb hurts us a lot because now we have to relay on williams and smith. and that is something i don´t like after all...
