Sunday QB

Are there any Trade Possibilities

91 posts in this topic

I don't see us moving Bryant McKinnie. Nor would I prefer for us to do so. He's played a very limited amount of snaps, but statistically, he's allowed 0 pressures, 0 QB hits and 0 sacks through that span. He's had his struggles with weight and conditioning, but he gives us much needed flexibility moving forward.

Nobody. We don't need to make any trades.
we Should Trade Anthony Allen To Detroit for a Third or Fourth round Pick in this years draft because they need a running back and we have four instead of three then we should sign omar Brown from our Practice Squad to the Active Roster

1. No we shouldn't.

2. There is no way in hell any team would give us a fourth for Anthony Allen.

I don't see them biting on that at all. He was a 7th round pick to begin with, and would be a downgrade from both Mikel Leshoure and Kevin Smith. He's struggled thus far, evidenced by his YPC of 2.6, and his struggles in pass protection would make him a liability in their heavy passing attack. In this league, with players like Asante Samuel being moved for a 7th, I honestly doubt they'd even entertain adding him for his original round value.

Mike Jenkins seems like an intriguing name, but I doubt we make the call. His contract expires after this season so we'd be left with 2 CBs hitting the UDFA market. Aside from that, he's as up and down as Cary Williams, and is just one year younger at 27. I see another team potentially moving for him, but not the Ravens.

I'd have no problem with moving him in general if it's for the benefit of the team, as I don't expect much impact from him. We still have a reliable back-up in Bernard Pierce and upside after him in Bobby Rainey. However, I just don't see any team being interested in him. He hasn't shown anything to entice anyone in believing that he's better than the #2 on the their roster, so the chances of him being traded are slim to none.

Anthony Allen is going nowhere. He's a crucial part of the return game. He's Jacoby's lead blocker, which Jacoby has said he values quite a bit.

I took a quick look at his stats, his first two years with the eagles look like he had solid rookie and sophomore years. The next year and what he did with Indy is not very impressive. I'll excuse his time in Indy because it doesn't seem like he got much playing time, I could be wrong. Having said that, he's still young and probably fresh (I don't know about injuries he may have had) and it wouldn't hurt to bring him in to have a look at what he could do.

I doubt he would cost too much, but who would you drop for him?

Surprised nobody has brought this up.

Arizona reportedly has interest in Bryant McKinnie.

http://www.rotoworld...-in-ot-mckinnie

Let's see, Kevin Kolb was worth a 2nd rounder to them right? So McKinnie has to be worth a first round pick! lol jk.

No but in all seriousness, I will not be surprised if we get anything more than a 6th for him, and that's being generous.

Do the Cards have a solid D lineman to trade McKinnie for? Or maybe try for a 5th or 6th rounder then with an open roster spot sign Gorrer.

If Kolb is worth a second rounder, and McKinnie is worth a first, I wonder what Joe Flacco is worth. Their entire draft... JK.
If they gave a second rounder for Kolb, then we get Calias Campell, or Washington.... Duhhh guys. Jk.

Don't know that for a fact yet, but he's a potential stud who shined in limited action last season. We'd be deeper at CB as well.

A question someone asked during the live chat session today.

Why don’t we ever make any big time moves??? The great teams are made great by making great moves and we NEVER do it so we are never able to make it over the hump. Harbaugh says were good enough with what we got right now. Obviously that’s not true.

Garrett Downing replied with:
I wouldn't be so sure that "big-time moves" are the way to build a team. The Steelers have been awfully successful and they aren't super active on the free-agent market. Same goes for the Patriots and Packers.

My reply to Garrett would be:
That is true during free agency; however they are very aggressive during the draft. Just look at the patriot’s who trade draft picks and move up to grab top 10 and top 15 draft picks. We seem to never draft in the top 25.
I understand the philosophy of drafting the best player on the board at that time but why can’t we be aggressive and draft the best player.
