Rex Ryan

Anybody think his seat might be getting a little warm?

I wish NY would fire him and we could steal him back to be our DC. He should just embrace that he is a beast DC.

1. Rex Ryan has been (larking) on the hot seat ever since his guarantees about winning a Super Bowl went nowhere. His job security also has worsen every, single time when he makes a prediction that backfires, like when Ryan wanted (other) teams to beat the Patriots during the 2011-12 season, yet, his New York Jets couldn't even beat New England, themselves.

Basically, thrash talking always sets one up to fail. Is it bad? No! In fact, it could potentially show confidence in oneself. But, when the trash talking makes losses worse, fans can only take so much of it before they want change. And, right now, for Rex Ryan, his team has gone from making it to the AFC Championship Game, two years-in-a-row, to having the locker room implode and being no more than a .500 team to being an over-hyped, over-talked about, mediocre team. No way Rex stays on as New York's head coach, after this year.

2. It's not going to happen; end of story! Period! Rex Ryan will, more-than-likely, get fired by the Jets, but he won't (and I repeat, WON'T) become Baltimore's next defensive coordinator. His ego is too big for the Ravens, now, especially when John Harbaugh is a soft-spoken guy. Some team will make him their defensive coordinator, but it won't be a team with a high morale, like the Ravens.

I dunno man. He sounded like he just relapsed and eat 2-3 humble pies in his press conference today.

I dont see the Jets in the post season.
I dont see Rex working for either the Jets nor the Ravens ever again.
Rex will land some where. Not here.

I wouldn't mind that. See, with Rex being DC, we won't hear much of his voice, even though personally I have no problem with him speaking out. And Norv Turner will be a greater OC than a HC.

That would be great for us, and probably get us over the hump. But how many DCs and OCs who are of that caliber are wanting to come to Baltimore? It seems we don't even look for them. Our searches don't seem to be for top tier coaches, and it shows. And, when we get one, they are hired away as soon as they show any promise.

[/quote] The reason we don't get them is because the front office wants to keep Cam, and we didn't know if Dean Pees would be good or not so we gave him a shot and it's not looking good so far. No doubt, i think there will be change next year if this 2nd half of the season doesn't go better

i doubt that Rex's pride would allow him to come back to the Ravens with his tail between his legs to be the DC again.
