Trades

With the trade deadline moved back to October 30th this year, do you anticipate any trades happening around the league , involving the ravens or any other team? I would like to see some blockbuster trades but they rarely happen in the nfl.

Very True, and that's what the NFL is kinda wanting to happen but I can't see it. I agree that Dwayne Bowe is the only major player out there that could be a blockbuster type of a trade for a team who needs receiving help. On a Ravens note, I think we should call Oakland to see the availability of Rolando McClain.

i highly doubt it that Oz will make any moves, but if he does then he'll look to bring in more lb/de help

Best swing tackle in the league, the guy is equally adept on the left. Oher moves to RT.

I agree with Purock. I think one of the Carolina backs get moved. Probably Williams.

Stevan Jackson could also be an interesting trade option.

Please let it happen. I like KO at RT, but if we had a competent RT KO would be an even better LG.

Volmer is a free agent this off season if not resigned. They could very well have to choose between him and Weller.

I'd love volmer to hit free agency because clady ans Jake long would be the sought after tackles and we could move in for him under the radar abit.

Chris Ivory is another interesting name. He is a power back and the Saints already have two in-between the tackle guys (Ingram & Thomas). He is a restricted free agent in 2013.

Packers make the most sense, but they aren't really traders.

You're being crazy right now. Volmer is going to get the tag and get resigned, he's a top 15 pass blocker and a decent run blocker as well. I'm surprised he's not playing LT for them right now given how bad Solder has performed. Belichick understand the best way to build a football team better than pretty much everyone else in the NFL. He never pays RBs, he gets value for players who will demand larger contracts than he can afford through draft picks, he knows when to cut ties with someone, and most importantly he pays his bloody OL to protect his QB because that's how you win games. Between Welker and an OT, I guarantee Belichick is going with the OT.

Ozzie needs to focus hard on that; next year, we will draft a good OT, LT, C, or LG.....

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere saying they won't trade him.

We don't need guards we need a starting quality LT or C.

yeah, forgot about Harewood; he's been done great job at LG for the first year. On the pass protection, he's ok but better Bobby, and on the running block, he's been excellent so far.

I think we've been searching for LT, but Ozzie don't put that as priority cuz his philosophy of drafting is taking whever good available on the board instead going for something big. However, he did trade up to grab Osemele but we need a long term LT. We got lucky on supplement draft pick to get Gaither on 2007, but we've been drought for good LT ever since....

I believe we can get good center in much shorter time than a LT.....

PS: I wish we got Jake Long.....

One thing I will agree with you on! This is so true. It's hard to find a solid pass blocking tackle, but it's a lot easier to find a role playing receiver like Welker to run slants, hooks, and screens. He's so good at using players the right way!

Wouldnt mind seeing us go after Dwayne Bowe. Maybe package Boldin in a deal?
Only if they included Winston, or Houston... Bowe would be a good WR for Flacco to have. I want a DT tho................. ;)
Thumbs down if you hate

I have to admit, I don't know why but Arizona should call Cleveland at the end of the season for Brandon Weeden. Weeden would at least be better than both Kolb and Skelton.

Patriots just traded for Corner Back Aqib Talib from the Tampa bay Buccanears.
This could be a huge gain for the pats. When talib is on the field he is a top 10 corner, the downside is that he rarely is on the field due to being an idiot off the field

it amazes me that the Pats are able to make these trades possible without giving up too much. Surely other teams can make it happen as well.

Talib is a good CB and as long as his behavior is in check, he is beyond a solid acquisition for the Pats
