So it seems every year there are some players who just jump up draft boards whether that is production or the all-too-often physical skill set (ala Stephen Hill, etc.)

As the topic says who do you think will rise?

I will start with one of the more already discussed:

Ezekiel Ansah, a 6'6", 254-pounder from Accra, Ghana.

According to the coach: "Ezekiel wandered through our office one day; I think our players kind of directed him, seeing he's 6-foot-whatever he is. He runs a 21.9 200-meters, but we had to help him put his (football) stuff on; he'd never put gear on before. He's a work in progress, but he wanted to give it a try. He showed up this summer, the players loved him; he wouldn't go away... even though he wasn't prepared, he showed up for workouts. He kind of grew on (the players) and they came to me and said 'make sure you bring him in the 105.' He doesn't know anything (about playing defensive end), but when he decides to run fast, he runs fast, and he's big."

Al Davis would be proud

DE Oregon Dion Jordan is on the cusp of being a 1st rounder right now but will almost definitely be a 1st rounder come draft time as a result of his size-speed (6'6" 245lbs, 4.6-4.7 40-yard dash) combo and production. I think he has like 5 sacks this year but I could be wrong.

Apparently Jesse Williams 6-4 330 has a 600+ bench press and runs a 4.7. He will skyrocket for sure.

Marcus Davis WR VT

I actually see him dropping. VA Tech's offense has been lackluster and Logan Thomas has been inconsistent. I look at Davis as a 4th round talent but I could see him falling to round 6, where I have the Ravens grabbing him in my latest mock.

As a Hurricane fan this one hurts but he has been amazing this year and really dominated against Miami last weekend. Looks like a great prospect to say the least

Literally came here to write Ezekiel Ansah, if he goes into a 1 gap system and somebody takes 2-3 years to iron out his technique and pad level he's going to be as good as JJ Watt. He's nowhere near as polished as Watt was but he has the same physical skill set and abilities.

In any case he's going to rocket up into the first round.

I can tell you who won't rise up boards. Tyrann Mathieu. He was arrested along with four teammates of his earlier today on drug charges.

Link

Looks like it will be one of those kids who can't leave their past troubles behind them. Such a waste of talent - shame.

Matt Elam, Safety our of Florida. This guy is uber aggressive and one heck of a play-maker. Has a little bit of an Tyrann Matheiu feel to him. A bit undersized and will need to prove he can cover well, but boy can he hit.

The only two flaws in Elam are his size and the fact that he just drops a lot of passes he should intercept but he's a beast. He was at Dwyer and is at Florida and will continue that trend in the NFL.

Theres no way he runs a 4.7 second 40, I'd say he's in the 5.2 range at the lowest. Also I'd be more concerned with how much he squats, he's got chicken legs.

Everyone said the same thing about Dontari Poe who is 348-350. I say laser time at the combine.. he runs around a 4.86-4.88. Might even get lucky and run a 4.8 flat.

He does seem to stay on his feet in games. And does get penetration on plays.

Everything I read is that Margus Hunt will test off the charts at the combine to become possibly a late 2nd round pick.

Also read Dion Jordan Oregon will sky rocket because of the success Seattle has had with Bruce Irvin as pass rusher.

Also I'm wondering if Brandon Jenkins will be healthy by combine time because he was expected to have a good year but got injured so if he showed up to the combine and posted a good 40 and bench he could elevate himself again. But his fellow fsu player Carradine and Werner are also projected high.
If Robert Woods were to run a sub 4.4 40 and give good vertical and long jump it could show that he has more explosiveness to go along with his saavy route running and smooth play.

Michael Dyer used to be starting running back for Auburn Tigers. Was dismissed from auburn then his other school as well. I never knew what for but in a week running back crop a good combine with interviews and good running and he could easily elevate himself again.

I think Ezekiel Ansah will climb up draft boards. He has only played football for three years and has made incredible strides in the past year. He is starting to fill out his frame, right now 6'6, 270 and could probably get even stronger. I would take him in the 2nd without hesitation and would think about a first round pick as well. His speed and athleticism combined with NFL coaching could make him into an elite player.

Sheldon Richardson has done himself a huge favor this year by his play. I think he was more of a 2nd to 3rd starting the season but he has played hard every game and I think he is only going to rise higher come the combine, as he is one athletic man for his size. I could see him even sneaking his way into the top 10
