I do think however if we just stick to the run and pass on occasion across the middle to Pita we will be ok. Control of the ball is the name of the game and the only way we will win.

This won't happen unless we get up by a big number.

I know it may not be in Cam's vocabulary and it seems too obvious, but balance and unpredictability are the ticket against any opponent.

The Browns have always played us tough. Weeden has been up and down this season, so let's hope this week he's down. played poorly against us the last time (of course his receivers dropping every 3rd pass didn't help him), but now he's got more experience and knows what's coming, plus we're without Webb. It should be a better showing from him, but we'll see.

The Browns are slightly improved but I don't see how they can put up enough points to beat the Ravens.

Three thoughts:

1. The Browns are 2-2 at home, beating Cincinnati and San Diego; they lost to Philadelphia by 1 point.

2. In the Cleveland game at M&T five weeks ago, the Browns were only trailing 16-10 - and they were driving in our territory - late in the 3rd quarter - before Weeden threw a pick-six.

3. Over the last 5+ years, we're an incredible 35-9 at home... but we are 19-24 on the road.

Yes, we "should" beat Cleveland, even AT Cleveland... but it's not a foregone conclusion...

Look at it this way: two weeks of rest will really help heal his knee.

it is not a foregone conclusion and to be honest....i'm just waiting to see what changes IF any, the Ravens have made on both sides of the ball to improve the team.

Plus they had a chance to tie at the end of the game. As Sizzle said, Cleveland is usually always a rough game.

Of course, it's not impossible, that's why they play the game. Are you looking for personal changes or tweaking of the strategy or what?

i want to see how the Ravens respond to the adversity, the negativity and their horrible showing two weeks ago. after this bye...things "should be" handled and done differently on both sides of the ball. we'll see on Sunday.

Go Ravens! B)

I hope Suggs can spark the defense and we can play strong today! We could use a dominant game to get some confidence back but at this point I'll just take a road win anyway we can get it.

In the very possible event that the Ravens lose today, would it be time to hit the panic button?

5-3 to me wouldn't normally scream panic, but the rest of the schedule is brutal. Harbaugh himself says it is a must win.
