If we have another bad performance against browns, we woukd probably see some coaching changes.
I'm actually checking the Ravens page a lot lately, mainly because I think this "deep self-analysis" thing is going to end with the release of a coach. What else needs to happen in order to demonstrate the like of actualizing potential? Our defense is getting shred! Our offense is as inconsistent as one can imagine, and our acquisitions - whether drafted or not (with the exception of Tucker) - are falling short of the expectations we have for them. A statement needs to be made, I think.

The strength i still believe is our offense. We have the best back in the league, a great QB and can score from anywhere on the field. It just is not shining so bright as we have struggled and gotten behind pretty fast and needed to try to throw throw, throw to play catch up which by the way is not a strength.

If somehow we can slow down the opposing run attack we will be ok. The passing attack does not scare me a lot as we do have Reed back there and Pollard who can easily knock the ball loose from any receiver.

We always struggle against Cleveland, especially on the road, so I'm not overlooking this at all. They really aren't a bad team anymore. Mediocre, but not bad.

I think we should rebound and get our act together. Suggs back is not only a physical boost to the offense but an emotional one most needed after the loss of Webby and Lewis. You saw how he played with 3 practices, imagine how he will look in two weeks. Hopefully our O-line gains some consistency and strength and the CBs get their act together.
On another note I see a young Browns team with potential. Josh Gordon was a huge prize, he looks really fast. They just need better people running the organization in my opinion. Weeden probably wasn't the best draft choice but he has flashes of potential.

The Brownies have definitely improved, this is the best play they've had from a QB since Anderson came out of nowhere back in 07 and had a pretty decent year.

I would say I feel bad for the Browns, but I don't..maybe with the exception of Trent Richardson because I have a feeling that unlike Arian Foster who we were containing, Trent isn't gonna get the benefit of a decent passing game. I feel like two weeks for Suggs and the boys are going to put them in quite a mood after stewing in their own juices. I'm not overlooking the Browns, I'm looking forward to them being run over.

no passing game? he threw for 300 something yards against us last time and that was in bmore. i don't wanna know how good he can school our D in cleveland.

Im a littke worried seeing the browns hold the chargers to only 6 pts.
If this was the San Diego Chargers of like 2-or-3 years ago, then, yeah; I might be a little worried. But, c'mon! Who exactly, on San Diego's offense, "scares" the opposing defense, anymore? Sure, Malcolm Floyd is a big target that can create nightmares and match-up problems for a lot of defenses, but... uh, is there anyone, else? I don't see the "hype" surrounding Ryan Matthews, Robert Meachem definitely hasn't panned out (to be Vincent Jackson's replacement) and Antonio Gates, while still productive, has lost that dominant factor with his injuries. Oh, and then there's the media's favorite, Phillip Rivers...

That said, the Cleveland Browns can't be taken lightly. Sure, they might be young and lack the experience, but the team has put up a fight in a lot of their games, which included match-ups against the Bengals (twice), Giants, Eagles and, obviously, the Ravens.

But, now, since the Browns won, I feel confident that Baltimore will be aware of what Cleveland can do, this week, leading-up to the game on Sunday.

I think there's one thing we can all agree on: The Baltimore Ravens have the ideal bye week. This off week happens to be in the middle of the season, when the team needs a break, most, and has a LOT to work on.

But, luckily, the season's not even half-over. There's still tons of football to be played. The Houston Texans game was a loss, but it was only one loss. Use it as a motivation and make a statement against the Browns, next week, guys.

the bye week was timely!

[sup]we need to win this game and the oakland game before we enter a rediculously tough stretch of the schedule to the end. So basically this is a must win especially a divison game and the ravens comming off the bye i believe are undefeated.[/sup]
I wouldn't put much into the word Undefeated. Look, Eagles won 13 straight games coming off bye week, and just got spanked by Atlanta at home. So, this is not an easy game by any means, our problems on the road are well documented. And how could Browns win with scoring only 7 points, it's incredible.
If Ravens take care of football on offense and clamp down on defense, and I fully expect them to prevail in this game.

This is looking to be a far more exciting game than people anticipated at the beginning of the season! Weeden's making definite progress, Gordon's a legitimate threat at WR and Trent Richardson is a beast! Our defense is struggling and it's a division matchup, so anything's possible at this point!

Well , I for one along with my family are excited about this game,Mostly because we will be there in Cleveland(heard the Browns are harsh....) . That being said the previous game was only a 2 score game . Containing Trent will be a top priority !!!!
Hope to see some other Ravens fans in Cleveland...strength in numbers :)

how could Browns win with scoring only 7 points? Defense! Something we are having problems with. We better not take this game lightly since the browns came close to beating us at home.

I don't think the Ravens will take the Browns lightly, with the Steelers breathing on our necks, plus tgis being a divisional foe.

Oh and I hope you fellow fans stay safe from sandy!

Who else has an awesome feeling Sizzle and Upshaw get a couple sacks?
Suggs historically struggles against Joe Thomas 1 on 1.

People on this board getting their hopes up because of Suggs' return need to slow down a bit, Joe Thomas can usually handle Suggs by himself in pass rush situations.

There are no easy games in this season anymore. The Texans beat us bad and they were beaten bad by the Packers, who lost to a Colts team, that is a shell of it's former self with a rookie QB. Those same Colts was defeated by the Jaguars, who got destroyed by the Bengals, which was the team the Ravens steamrolled.

How is it a trap game?

The team will have had two weeks to stew over one of their most embarrassing losses in recent memory. They'll be playing against a divisional opponent that almost aways plays them tough. And they'll be on the road where they've typically struggled going back to last season.
You would think we'd come out and blow their doors off but we've been in that situation before and performed otherwise.

If we have another terrible performance against Browns, do you guys think pees or cam will get fired?

I'm just saying if the D gives up another 200+ rushing, or the O struggles to put points.
I would hope so. I hope the Texans game is the catalyst we look back on at the end of a SB winning year and say "yes that was what lit a fire under our squad." I hope it is the case and not struggling at the Browns but if we do....please Cam loose and make changes.

That 1st game in Baltimore should not been that close. We had 9 point lead in 3rd quarter, in the drizzle & rain, but Cam decided to put on Air Attack, instead of getting more creative with running game. I know Rice was averaging 2.9 yds/carry, but Pierce had good game, and Cam should of used both of them more.
And looking at the weather, this game could be played in very similar conditions.

How many times do I have to say for the people who made the cam remarks on a game thread??? Cam doesn't believe in Balance. He believes that Joe has the weapons like the elite 5 have, and that joe is magic Johnson. As far as Ik, he would cut rice if he was the coach..... When LT was used more in SD, that offense was deadly in passing and running.
