Lets have one thread to talk about our opinions regarding what we think needs to be done to turn this bird around. Not a lot of "lolipops and butterflies" " the sun will come out tomorrow crap" And not a lot of "burn Pees/Cam/Harb/Whoever in effigy". What can we do, with the coaches we have(because honestly, we know that is not going to change anytime soon) and the players we have to get things corrected.

What is it that has gone wrong? Is it the loss of key veteran players over the summer? I know the recent injuries hurt but we were playing poorly since week two, so it cannot be just that. With all our talent why isnt the offense getting any better?

Have at it.

Maybe our talent is not as good as we like to think.

Our receivers can't get separation (and often can't catch). Rice breaks off a good run now and then but frequently goes down as soon as someone touches his ankle. Our line can't stop the defense from breaking through. Flacco does not play well on the road. That's just the offense.

On defense we can't shake off blocks and we can't set the edges. Our DBs can't cover.

Coaching could help and schemes could help, but right now we are NOT a talented team.

It isn't one thing. We lost some key players during the off season. We suffered some injuries. Let's be honest though, our defense was not playing Raven football prior to Lewis and Webb going down. Not even close. The fall off in sacks and pressure on the QB was expected with Suggs out of the picture, but the rest, not so much.

It is such a combination of things who knows where to start? I know you said no "fire Cam/Pees" and all that but honestly, when you have a Jekyll & Hyde team in terms of on the road and at home, coaching is where the ultimate blame lies. We have the same players whether we are at home or on the road, so it is just fact.

Cam seems to give Flacco more freedom at home and then yank that leash again on the road. He abandons the run too often and too early many times. Or, he stubbornly sticks to the run when we are averaging 2 yds per carry. The man is bi-polar as a coordinator.

I know we've lost people on the defense but honestly, you've got to be creative enough to help out your secondary. Pees has nothing up his sleeve at this point. No creativity.

We carried one non-creative, vanilla coordinator for years. We just can't carry two of them as depleted as we are by injuries and off season losses.

I don't know what to tell you. You don't want to hear it because we all know it isn't going to change at Week 7 during the season, but everything points to coordinators and coaching.

We won't even mention the O line.

Deion voice "CAM"...

Not for nothing the defense started out very well but after so many 3 and outs what do you expect them to do? Then add to that the fact our offense gave up almost as many points as it score and that's usually not a winning formula. The defense I think will be fine if the offense can stop imitating an offense and become a real one.

I will agree that talent seems to be overlooked by alot of people I even do it. Specifically or most notably, I think Jimmy Smith is a bust. I just havent seen anything spectacular aside from that catch he made in last years AFC championship game that was a pick. Otherwise he really cant cover worth a damn constantly gets burned, and has been injury prone. Another player who i think is overrated is Michael Oher...holy cow! ever since the release of "the blindside" its like he is already considered a hall of fame candidate!! haha basically analysts and some fans think he is good, but ever since I heard his name called I remember me and my pops looking at each other with a confused look on our face wondering why we took him with our 1st pick. Im pretty sure he lead o-linemen in penalties last year and if he didnt some team really better have cut the player who did! because oher gets penalties on every other play. And he is not the most talented player either.

I think it comes down to execution though, our players just didnt execute well yeasterday. They werent playing with intensity, and Flacco needs to man up and be stronger in the pocket. Obviously you cant teach tackling, these players have been taught how to tackle ever since pee-wee days so if ou can tackle you can tackle if you cant your probably a free agent. And I think as a whole this bye week is going to add better health and rest to our injured players, and a hunger as a team to go ou and dominate the browns next game. If we dont win by atleast 3 scores then its panick time haha

I think there must be something wrong with our coaching staff and Ozzie should be addressing the problem shortly..

Ozzie doesnt have it in him to fire cam cameron or dean pees, just like the eagles GM wont fire Andy Reid...yeah they fired there offensive line coach turned d-coordinator because they had a pro bowl defense playing like the worst in the league. I really dont know why Ozzie hasnt atleast fired cam cameron after years of terrible offenive execution and cam giving flacco a damn leash and littttle by litttle easing flacco into being a leader. Let alone how 99.99% of us fans hate his guts and have been this way for the past 2 or 3 seasons. But I think Harbaugh has a friendship with Cam and thinks that "any given sunday cam will come and perform".

Quite honestly I wouldnt be mad if harbaugh got dumped. Any time a coach says " our guys kept trying out there" or puts the loss on their shoulders and cant admit to the public when or what their players did wrong, and keeps using the same feeble excuses over and over again coaches are a dime a dozen. I like harbaugh as a person just like I like cam cameron as a person they both ahve winning personalities but that doesnt help them be a better coach.

In reality I doubt anything will happen until the offseason where Im sure we will keep cam cameron, but if anyone goes I feel like dean pees will be the first to go, although I think cam should have been gone a long time ago and I hope he gets fired real soon. The fact is that we keep getting closer and closer to the superbowl and we are inching toward that ultimate goal with the coaching staff we have so thats why ozzie keeps them all.

Cam Cameron is Norv Turner's desciple!they used to coach together haha Norv Turner is just as bad...nearly the same as cam cameron if not worse than Cameron. Norv Turner calls the plays on offense for the chargers and look how they have played the last couple of seasons...they suck! Norv decided to bench his allstar probowl caliber runningback for fumbling near the endzone this year. I know ryan mathews is not perfect but he put in jackie battle wh averged about 1.5 yds per carry and gave ryan mathews 16 garbage time carries where Mathews put up 80 total yards..and STILL benched Mathews the next week! That is what you call grade A bad coaching if he was on our team I would go down to owings mills and protest

That I firmly believe is the result of Cam Cameron.
Case in point -- is Lance Moore and Devery Henderson really that much better than Boldin and Torrey? Because I see both of them wide open every single week, often multiple times.

Our QB coach is a former NFL head coach, and he has a ring.

Our DB's are too weak. Our corners aren't strong enough to interfere with a big dominant WR, which we no have. Jones was like the #4 on the Texans, and he is our biggest deep threat.

Ozzie has missed a lot more than he's hit lately and the talent pool just isn't there. We're going to have to start drafting better if we want to continue our playoff runs and have a chance at a SB.

As for this year, something's gotta give with Cam and Pees. They just aren't getting the job done. The offensive scheme, especially that garbage we see on the road, needs to be tweaked immensely; it's just terrible. The return of a healthy Suggs and Ngata after the Bye could help out a lot, but we're going to continue to miss Webb and Ray.

I think the DBs are big/strong enough but they're just playing too far back and with too much space. Whether that's coaching or personal preference, it doesn't play to their strengths.

And Jacoby started 10 games for the Texans in 2011, he's a 2/3 and we have him as a 2/3

We'll most likely make the post season. Not worried on that score too much. Just not too confident how far we'll go once there.

In short, if we are talking a SB this year, I think it might take something very big. Almost a miracle.

Thats what im so depressed about! In order for Cam Cameron to be fired our team would have to be playing badly, but in fact our team isnt playing that bad as awhole (5-2). Although us fans know how bad cam truly is and want him out. However the fact of the matte is with Cam we are winning games and therfore Ozzie and Harbaugh will assume he is doing all the right things. But just because your team is winning doesnt mean the coordinators are doing their jobs effectively, in fact ours is terrrrible. And we are already practically shoe in for the playoffs so I think Cam will be here for a while

i agree here, suggs that was injured and out for months came back and did what no one on the D couldnt do for 7 weeks, that's emabaressing, secondly coaching is terrible, i mean when the game was still close we went pass-happy, pass pass pass 3 & out, pass pass pass 3 & out pass pass pass 3 & out, pass pass pass 3 & out pass pass pass 3 & out, pass pass pass 3 & out
