yes even in the 3rd quarter i can give this games review. Most folks look ahead for future investments but the Ravens never saw the Defense falling this far. Oh wait, in Oz we trust right ? First we get rid of our offensive guys like heap but recover so yest lets do the same thing on the defense. Let us let guys like JJ just walk. After all in Ozzie we trust. That motto was great 5-6 years ago but lets look at his choices on defense the last FEW years. Kindle, Cody, Smith. What a crew huh.

Let us just say Oz is in a slump or was he lucky. Our defense is terrible. We let JJ walk and that was a smart move. We have no way to stop anybosy and the offense lacks any consistency at all. But yes we are headed to a super bowl and all is well in Ravens Town.

We got our asses kicked by houston who in all likely hood is an actual superbowl caliber team. We on the other hand will be lucky to reach the play offs in the back door. I know i will get a lot of negative votes but hey atleast i am speaking the truth and not living in a fantasy.

Our Defense sucks and could not stop the Terrapins from scoring. Our offensive line has more holes then a strainer. I do not know how else to say it but at 5-2 we ought to feel lucky just to be here. If it were not for other teams mistakes we would be 2-5 and i welcome all who dispute it.

It is not Flaccos fault as he cannot control what the offensive line should be stopping (our O'line sucks). and our defense who could not stop a college team in the best of times. We are at a all time low and as soon as the owner and coachs realize itr the better off we will be.

We do not have the talent to survive in the NFL and as the teams watch our films we will become more vulnerable. Our defense is very bush league and our offensive line is less then college grade.

But Eric and Ozzie did not see this coming, my @ss. They just hope we bought into the fact that ozzie was a great talent finder which he is not. He had 2 lucky drafts and that is it.

I am so sick of wishing for the impossible. I tried to look pn the bright side but damn where is the bright side ? We played the best and they beat our tails up and down the field. We are not Super Bowl contenders, we ar enot play off contenders we should just be very happy we are where we are at.

We do not deserve the top of the AFC if others did not mess up. We did not earn it and do not have a remote chance at even a play off spot unless luck is heavily on our side.

Sometimes you just can't pay people. We were slapped to the cap. What were you going to do, let Ray Rice and Joe Flacco walk so you can sign a sam linebacker? There's no reason Ramon Harewood shouldn't be starting.

I was kind of resigned to a loss;the Texans have been wanting some Raven backside for the longest.I was more dissapointed with the offense. It seems as though their defenders were in our receivers back pocket whereas theirs were free to catch the ball anytime they liked.

Those people walked because the team was mismanaged. Ozzie is way too sentimental sometimes and tends to overpay veterans who are over the hill or soon to be over the hill. Don't get me wrong, Ray Lewis is a good player team, but there is no reason whatsoever he should be making $5 million a season like he does. Maybe back in the day when he was younger and this was a running league, but no excuse today. Don't sell me that crap about him meaning more to the team than that, it's just not true. We got Birk making millions, Reed making more than he should, and a few other really poorly managed contracts. A bit more cap space and maybe we can afford to keep someone or bring someone in.

Bobbie Williams is a joke. He can't run block or pass block.

Who was it who told me Bobbie was known for his prowess as a pass blocker? Lol!

Ah no panic here..actually I'm just really mad at the Texans. I know it's misdirected, but I'm tired at being mad at the Ravens and it took the Texans seven tries to beat us, and even then we had 23402343 guys hurt. They got roasted at home and so got 'mad' and steamrolled an injury-ridden team. Seeing them get slaughtered every week from here on out or destroying them in the playoffs..either one would make me extremely happy. Count me in as an anti-Texans fan from now on, those guys can go jump off a cliff.

I still think we'll be okay, we played maybe the best team in the NFL (Watts a monster) who was bloodthirsty after a blowout to the Pack and just have been dying to get their hands on us after the playoff game, plus they were at home. Terrible game for both sides of the ball, but we'll find a way to come back and make a strong playoff push. Ravens!!!

In Ozzie's defense, he signed Ryan McBean, who was a run stopping 5 technique. That was his move. He did what he could, if Kindle had never fallen down the stairs that pick may have been a steal and at the time the Cody and Smith picks were wildly celebrated. We just had bad luck. But he drafted KO, who is starting well, and Harewood who should absolutely be starting in the 6th round.

The problem is injuries and the coaches, who have been robbed by head by head coaching, and Cam, who really owes the lock out to his job.

Hare wood has only given up 1 sack and 10 hurries. He was playing like a starter and a good strong run blocker. There is nothing on tape to make me believe bobbie williams is a starter

I was watching the end of the game because I got home late from my employment, and Flacco was sacked 2 times in a row because the OL could not pick up a stunt.
For the first time in history, I turned the game off!

I think there is going to be an uphill battle the rest of the way. Like my analysis said in a past thread, our window closed in 2012. Why? This is due mainly in part to unproductive drafts in the early rounds the last few years.

The Ravens have talented players (like San Diego), especially on offense, but the COACHING fails time and time again.

Cam abandoned the run even before we were down by a significant margin, and everything is an out route. Joe played a terrible game, but long developing routes don't help when the OL isn't blocking well.

The defense...what else needs to be said? Everyone always has a 10 yard cushion. I understand the personnel isn't the best, but it's still inexcusable.

If we're lucky, Norv Tuner will be looking for work soon. Terrible HC, but still a good offensive mind. He's what Cam Cameron wants to be.

As for DC, I don't know.

two weeks in a row huge loss in the time of possesion. time to go back to leach leading the way for rice and a little play action. d isn't good enough to be on the field for so long.

You and me tend to see eye to eye. Just venting. I think our biggest problem is the 5. We're really missing Cory Redding. Ryan McBean was a bigger loss than we thought.

We were undefeated against Houston, 5-0 I think. They're arguably the best team in the AFC this season, and they were bound to win one against us eventually. The blowout and general play on our side are going to freak people the hell out for the next two weeks, but its not the end of the world. We're 5-2, still 2nd seed in the AFC. We get the Browns after a bye and the Steelers...I don't want to think about what we're going to do with the Steelers. So everybody, take your girlfriend out, have a drink, watch the Jets get wrecked by the Patriots, whatever you have to do to make yourself feel better, then sit back and appreciate being a fan of one of the better teams in the NFL.

LMAO, never seen it put that way but yeah with the exception of the Romo Flacco comparison. Our D'line is horrible, but the dallas defense is much better. We only beat the cowboys because of a dropped pass as they are even better then us right now.

season ticket holder and driver of the bandwagon, and unfortunately know enough about football to be dangerous. signs are all there. all the hurry offense does is hurry up the time that our porous d has to spend on the field. love the ravens and still think we are one of the best teams in the league, but we need to go back to some smash mouth, run it down your throat type of football or we will see more of what happened today.

I understand we're coming off a loss but I"m not about to sit here and pretend like we haven't had good drafts and great picks with Oz. That's being blind. You bring up Kindle, Cody, and Smith. One's career got put down by a freak accident, one is still developing (first full season and being thrown into the fire as a starter due to injury but the talent is still there). Cody is the only one out of the three you mentioned that could be called a questionable pick. Ozzie has missed on picks like any other GM but he has also struck gold plenty.

And to say that we don't deserve to be at the top of the AFC makes me question are you really a fan. We lost to what is possibly the most complete team in the NFL while we're dealing with the injury bug on an unfortunate level and we're still dealing with an offense that continues to fail at finding consistency (more of a shot at Cam because the talent is there). However, we made enough plays to earn every single game that's in our win column. I'm not about to deny that.

I wanted redding to stay all off season, I said it at the time, I wanted to pay redding before rice..

Has 5-2 ever felt so much like 2-5? For me, no, because I still feel like we're 5-2.

I had this as a loss, so even without the blow out nature of the loss, in the end the result is the same.

We got caught in the gauntlet of a team that not only wanted to atone for their loss on national TV last night, but who also wanted revenge for their 0-6 record against us.

The team has problems, but I believe they're fixable, because it mostly comes down to playcalling.

For offense at least, 2 things: 1) RUN THE BALL and 2) Start Harewood at LG.

For defense, it might be time to give Asa Jackson and Chykie Brown some time.

The loss was bad, but surely I'm not the only one who's not ready to jump off a bridge?

you speak of both "identity" and "ball control." the Ravens no longer have an offensive identity and controlling the ball and clock is what they use to do! no more! imo the Ravens offense is better when they are playing a smash mouth, ground and pound style of football mixed in with a few Gun formations, playactions, a few screens, slants and curl passes and the occasional deep shots down the field to keep defenses honest! hey FO and coaches....please bring that style of offense back quick fast and in a hurry!

Would you say 5 technique would be the biggest need? I think everyone loved Pernell McPhee so much we didn't realize how bad we needed the defense?

I'd say 5 technique and then nose.

I am going to be enjoying the blind panic this week.
[/quote]

There's nothing blind about what you saw on that football field today. Offensive sucks, defence was ok until the offensive started going 3 and out. Do you people even understand for the defense to hold up the offensive CAN'T KEEP GOING 3 AND OUT!!!!! And then the D started to suck soooooooo bad words can't describe. Question???? How does a big tight end (#81) just stays open allllll game long???? Please for the love of God cut Cary Williams.........Jimmy didn't play any better.
