I mean, it's okay to be upset, but why don't we just keep one thread for hate Cam, one thread for don't sign Flacco, one thread for fire Peas and use them every time we lose. It's always the same gripe. Joe Flacco is rough on the road. We have a banged up defense. I think our D played okay in the first portion of the game, but the offense didn't bail us out. They were flat out beat. They just have to find a way to win on the road and I was super pumped for Sizzle and his impact. Teams will have to respect our D a little more now. I mean, we just lost our starting corner, we're bound to have a hiccup. I don't care to see people upset, but some people are like, "OMG SEASON OVER! OFFSEASON!!!"

Believe it or not, this board used to be much worse with trolls and the like. A thread every ten seconds about Ray being a murderer and stupid stuff like that. People are going to post those things because for a lot of us, this board is our catharsis. The mods are good about merging like threads, but they're only human. If you don't like reading 'em, don't read 'em! You're not being a jerk.

Trust me, these forums are the best. I've been to other teams' forums and ours is definitely one of the best. In terms of threads, comments, and the whole nine yards. I just like reading peoples comments on the game and on how they think we can improve moving forward. More of that, less of firing people every week, but I understand it happens. Just throwing my two cents in there.

In other news, hopefully, our offense can bounce back against the Browns after the bye week? I believe it's the Browns. We get our offense rolling and bring Sizzle and the type of D we had in the first portion of the game, we might be in business.

The Ravens defense has slipped considerably, and the offense has not improved enough to make up for this. All we have to do is look at Ozzie Newsome's Draft record from the past four years, and see that he has failed. Flacco is still unproven because he's so inconsistent. Kruger is a bust, Sergio Kindle was a big bust, Michael Oher is a bust, Jimmy SMith is a bust in my opinion, Dan Cody another bust if anybody remembers him as well as a tackle, who's name I've forgotten, Ozzie drafted in 2008 that never made it out on the field. His successes include Ray Rice and Ladarious Webb in those four years, and that is about it. What happened to the Ozzie from years past that always found good picks in the draft?

And then we have a good game 2 weeks from now and Ozzie is a genius again and Flacco is the best thing ever. Oher is a starting LT, not spectacular but holds down that position and is versatile, he lives up to his pick. Flacco is unproven? Lmao okay dude.

As much as i'm bummed out and practically wounded, & embarrassed from the whooping we took today, it is aways humorous and a bit grounding, to come on here and read people's reactions, acting as if the sky was falling. Some people should try a "24 hour rule" and wait a day to post instead of letting your jacked up emotions get the best of you. Guys we are 5-2, leading the AFC North, have a bye at the perfect time, and just got the best defensive player in the NFL, back on the playing field at a high level. Tough day guys, but to all of you who can see through the haze, and are keeping it positive, thanks because all logic tells me we are in a good position in the standings. :point:

On the bright side, we're 5-2. On top of the AFC North. Second in the AFC. And the defending AFC champs are 3-3.

I like this!
I so agree. I am not too disappointed by this loss. I called it, as did many. However Suggs played well for what he had going in. I was impressed!
Our offense had a flat game. And Cam called another horrible game.
We need a rest and I think the Browns are going to get the brunt of it! :)

On the bright side we are 5-2, second in the AFC, 1st in the AFC north, going into a bye week, and have the feeble browns when we come out. The Patriots are 4-3, and the steelers are 3-3. We will most likely sweep the division, but the steelers always give us trouble so at the least we will win the division. And the texans have practically the easist division in all of football, and a pretty easy schedule so they SHOULD be atop the AFC.

One bright side defensively is that Upshaw is going to be a pretty good player in this league once he has a full year under his belt. He is very stout against the run and has some flashes of being able to cut through blocking schemes and sniffing out that zone stretch.

Okay, just on the bright side....hmmm

Suggs is back and looks great.
Tucker is still money.
Ellerbee and Pollard played well as did a few other guys.
We will probably win the division and make the playoffs.
We probably wont have to play the Patriots again when we get to the playoffs.
We cannot lose this week.
Joe is not going to cost as much as we thought he would.

The problems I found were incredibly fixable EXCEPT the outside pass rush (other than Suggs for the most part).

1. Jimmy Smith needs to play tighter and more disciplined.

2. Ke'meatu and Ngata have to get healthy, because they were not getting a good push up front on run nor pass plays. Ngata should be on the Suggs workout plan. Just give him the same number of practices next week that Suggs got before the Texans game.

The good news is that Smith doesn't have to keep biting, and all the injured Ravens not named Webb or Lewis (and, by the way, Ellerbe was a definite step up in guarding tight ends and backs; He was in position to break up passes. The next plateau growth is to break them up) can get healthy.

The Browns are a sneakily a pretty good team. I think they're actually a tougher match-up than the Bengals. They don't do anything BETTER than the Bengals except passes defensed/INT's, but they don't have the holes and inconsistencies that the Bengals have.

The Ravens O-line has been inconsistent, but I think they can pull it together. should try to find a big blocking TE and maybe replace Bajema with him (I do like Bajema), because they need another option other than McKinnie for an extra blocker (I actually don't mind McKinnie in that role for run plays, or pass plays so long as he's not on the edge).
