On the Bright Side

Suggs is simply amazing with coming back this fast from a injury like he had and still being pretty effective in the game ( should have had 2 sacks ). I feel a lot more comfortable going forward with our defense with Suggs return but with the offense, I always be worried only for the simple fact that the play calling is too one dimensional at times which causes us several 3 and outs and possibly even turnovers like today. It's not just about running the ball more either but several positive things come from doing that. You may help out an offensive lineman that's having a bad day pass blocking day ( think Williams ) if you run more........ the defensive line can't just have their ears peeled back if you run more........... you control the clock more which is always a good thing letting your D rest up a little bit more and make the proper adjustments for the next time that they take the field if you run more.............. and to top it off, you have a Top 5 RB with the best FB in the business and that along should promote you to run the ball more. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see this and it's not like we haven't been in this position before ( Seattle, Titans, Jags, Eagles, etc....... )

You forget, after we lose, all is lost. Only if we go undefeated and win the SB will hope still be there. God forbid we lose a game. The trend.

We lose;
Fire Cam
Flacco SUX
Dean Peas can kick rocks.
What has Harbs done?

We win;
Pretty good game plan from Cam.
PAY THE MAN (Flacco)
Dean Peas is improving.
Harbs, coach of the year.

I need to stop reading these forums. Some of you go overboard in losing hope after a loss. Was anyone not excited to see Suggs make an impact very EARLY with a SAC?. I mean, we can only go up from this bad loss.

Thank You!

One game, one loss. Period. Stop bashing Joe. He had a bad game and a bad team effort supporting him. Happens to the best of em'.

The D actually showed some improvement, but obviously has a ways to go. The bye should help.

No team or player in the NFL is anywhere near dominant or above reproach this year. Get well, get on track and be ready come January.

I'm not terribly worried either. I don't want us to let up our lead on the AFC North too much but we're 5-2 and we *should* win our next two games after we return. We have a lot of issues to work on, but we have a bye week at the right time and we can work on some of our issues. I'm rooting for the Bengals tonight!

I'm with the original post, I'm not worried. We have some major injuries, but the defense came out and started strong, they were stopping the run. I think with some rest we're gonna come back kicking butt.

the defense came to play huh?

did you really just say that with seriousness?
if they came to play they would have made at least one stop and given us momentum instead of letting them score td's every time we did

uh the first 2 texan drives... :)

Positives
-Bye week
-Sizzle is back and played well
-Bobbie Williams will now be on the bench
-gives the team a wakeup call
-KO isn't done for the season like his injury would have shown

[/quote]Ankle although, I thought as Im sure most who saw the play thought; it was going to be a season ending ACL tear. Miraculously it was just an ankle injury.

While Reed, Ngata, and KO seemed to sustain injuries they all made it back onto the field. We should consider ourselves lucky that none of those three starters' injuries were more serious.

There's no reason to panic, this was a very very tough game to win without rest and with all these injuries, especially on the road.
I wasn't surprised at all, although in the beginning I had too much faith than necessary. Either way.
We'll be amazing come after the bye week with everyone all rested!

That Justin Tucker has quite a leg on him. Suggs is back. Jacoby Jones will play hard vs. his old team. We get a bye. The W/L column does not discriminate by how bad you get beat. And this is the hardest game on our entire schedule. That's the bright side.

I counted him out for the season when they put that compression sleeve on. We got really lucky on that one.

Did the defense didn't allow the first points that the Texans scored? I'm pretty sure the defense forced early counts as well? When they got the safety I think the Texans got their first td(points off TOs). I also don't think the Ravens defense put the football in JJ hands for a pick 6. Let me tell you something real quick. Your defense isn't suppose to be on the field more than offense especially if said offense isn't putting up points. The offense sucked today which made the defense look worse. How many 1st downs did the offense have in the 1st half?

The Ravens defense has slipped considerably, and the offense has not improved enough to make up for this. All we have to do is look at Ozzie Newsome's Draft record from the past four years, and see that he has failed. Flacco is still unproven because he's so inconsistent. Kruger is a bust, Sergio Kindle was a big bust, Michael Oher is a bust, Jimmy SMith is a bust in my opinion, Dan Cody another bust if anybody remembers him as well as a tackle, who's name I've forgotten, Ozzie drafted in 2008 that never made it out on the field. His successes include Ray Rice and Ladarious Webb in those four years, and that is about it. What happened to the Ozzie from years past that always found good picks in the draft?

On the bright side we are 5-2, still the second best AFC Team record wise. If the Texans slip like they did against the Packers, we can still have a shot at taking the # 1 Seed.

I mean, it's okay to be upset, but why don't we just keep one thread for hate Cam, one thread for don't sign Flacco, one thread for fire Peas and use them every time we lose. It's always the same gripe. Joe Flacco is rough on the road. We have a banged up defense. I think our D played okay in the first portion of the game, but the offense didn't bail us out. They were flat out beat. They just have to find a way to win on the road and I was super pumped for Sizzle and his impact. Teams will have to respect our D a little more now. I mean, we just lost our starting corner, we're bound to have a hiccup. I don't care to see people upset, but some people are like, "OMG SEASON OVER! OFFSEASON!!!"

Not trying to be a jerk
