Good quarterbacks that make that one bad play every game

I made a small list of quarterbacks that could be top of the NFL if they just did not make those few mistakes every game.

Tony Romo
Alex Smith
Phillip Rivers
Andy Dalton
Michael Vick

Romo has to be at the top of the list, the litany of mistakes that occur almost every week with the Cowboys is mind-boggling

Yes, he should be. As he grows and matures, the fumbles, INTs, throwing into linemans arms repeatedly and not having the best pocket awareness will work themselves out of his game.

Or we sure hope so! He still doesn't understand when you have a LB/SS unblocked at the line, you have to throw hot or slide protection...

Wouldn't the task of sliding protection fall on the center or Oline? Altough regardless he has to recognize when a team (texans as an example) have 6-7 men on the line he should be aware of a backside blitz and his pocket awareness after 5 years is still just crap, he takes so many unnecessary sacks its ridiculous.

No, it's NOT the centers job. The QB is the driver of the ship. He needs to make some sort of correction, presnap... or at least let it be known that "hey, hes coming" and call a different route or be EXTRA vocal to the hot.

Then its evident Flacco is extremely lacking in that aspect, as he has shown a habit of getting hit by blindside blitzers
