Ngata and Jimmy Smith miss practice

18 posts in this topic

Definetly less then ideal, I'm sure Ngata will play but I was unaware that Jimmy Smith had an "abdominal injury" , with webb out I would consider him the teams #1 corner as cary willliams has been terrible.

And Kemo missed practice as well,

jimmy and ngata were both injured in the game so i'm not surprised. i'm sure both will play. to reaggrivate game injuries in the following weeks practice would be terrible at this point.

Just need to get through Houston and we'll get a well deserved (and needed) bye.

With 4 games in the first 18 days, it's really not all that surprising that the injury bug reared it's head.

Jimmy needs to step up big time and here is great opportunity for him to shine on primetime...

One advice for him is don't overdo it but just keep playing fundamental technique and film studying.....

Lets beat the Texans and rest for 2 weeks...

He also needs to cut down on stupid mistakes. We take away AJ (I'm looking st you fly) we take away the passing game. I'm more worried about Arian, but if I'm correct Bynes is a sound tackler.

They Still have Owen Daniels who could light us up over the middle

True, but he is no Witten, or Gronk. I'm more worried about the run, Shaub is a mediocre QB.

Shaub don't scare me; as long as we can contain Adrian, we have them under control....

Tackling is the key for the improvement for our defense cuz we can afford to give up 5 yrd pass rather than 20yd run on mistackling.

The longer our defense force the, selve to stay on field, the more injuries are likely to pile up.

Some of the players assigned with the job arent doing it, and its costing everyone. Jamael McClain comes to mind, whose been quiet lately and has been very pedestrian/non existant on field. He needs to step up. I expected him to be a tackling machine after the fat payday, his been playing way too soft since week1.

People start to attack in the middle cuz our run defense is abysmal which open up lanes for TEs and WR to run.....

We know Pollard will terrorize whoever catching the ball in middle as long as our LBs can seal up the hole so Pollard don't need to support the run defense....

You know one of the reasons Jimmy has been slow to develop is because he seems very injury prone... may be a little fragile for a DB.
