And that will do it for the roster moves for now. Good to see Carr back.

OK! So now we wait and see who is going to get cut. Since two have been bought up to replace Webb and Lewis what happens when Suggs get back? Will the FO attempt to trade Rainey to fill other needs?

I think it'll be Rainey and Thompson going to the Practice Squad. I think you have to play in 6 games to have ur PS rights taken away and Thompson fell just short of that mark.

AA might not be doing much on offense, he's performing at a very high level on ST. Now that ST seems improved, I'm not sure Harbs will want to mess with it too much

He was injured all of preseason, but he played really well last year and should be able to help.

They'll likely move Rainey back to the PS I think.

Glad Carr is back. I really liked him in preseason. I actually thought that Bynes was on IR, so its good to have him back. Also Ray being designated to return is a great sign. If he can somehow return for the playoff, if nothing more then a Willis Reed moment, it'd be huge

He must not be showing the skills in practice, so i guess he is a work in progress. Ravens picked him up after he was cut from the cowboys practice squad.

I remember him being on the injury list during this past preseason and did not play much if at all.

Putting Ray on the Designated to Return List is very risky and I do not think a good business move. Lets face it, him even being able to come back for even the Super Bowl is basically almost impossible. So now that we have used this tag on him and say someone gets hurts this week for an extended amount of time, we have to just have them sitting there taking up a roster spot while they are hurt for that long.

The scenerio is unlikely to happen but I am sure the FO will look like fools if it does. A complete tear to your tricep can take 6 months of rehab. I just dont get the move.

The move is so that Ray can suit up if we make the Super Bowl and do his dance and make everybody happy then play motivational figure on the sideline for the game. The man has given his life to this team... in fact he IS this team, it's the least they can do.

But say Rice goes gown with an MCL tear this week. He would be out about 7-8 weeks. We couldnt use that tag on him but instead would just have to carry him through on the 53 and not be able to bring another guy in.

I am saying they are risking that tag on Ray when there is basically no chance he can come back this year.

I agree that it's a risk and that it could bite us, but we're doing it purely out of respect so I'm ok with that. A lot of organizations ask their people for respect without reciprocating, see: Indiannapolis. The Ravens have proven time and again that we love our players and will do right by them. I prefer that course.
