not to be the eternal pessimist but did anyone think suggs was looking a little larger than he was last year? I know he hasnt exactly been able to do much intense cardio, but....

Ya that did not look good. His lower half....looked like an Olineman down there.

He looks like he put on a few pounds, but he'll be alright. It's to be expected with his injury; I'm sure the strength and conditioning guys will try and take care of it.

You know what? At this point I take anything we can get. Even a wideass Suggs. Let's face it, who of our "pass-rushers" can actually outplay an overweigth Suggs? It's not like we have JJ and Redding playing out there. Upshaw looks promising and might be good in the next season, but that's it.

It's his first time wearing the new uniforms. Remember Cody said they aren't flattering. Might just be seeing him in the new clothes.

I'm not worried. He spent the last 6 months rehabbing as best as possible. I doubt he let himself go in the process.

There is no way he rehabbed for the past 6 months. I believe it is advised to not even begin walking until about two months.

He's not in shape, but he'll get there. We got a few weeks yet before he starts to play again.

Of course he gained weight, he couldn't run for the better part of 6 months. He doesn't even look that bad, anyways

Jesus, he looks like he put on 20 pounds in his [profanity deleted] alone.

He was crouching alot in that video as well. Isn't it sad, that I don't care about all that? Basically anything will help our DL now. I still think we should give Hamilton a chance. Maybe the Browns or Raiders game.

Where are you guys seeing pics of Suggs where he looks fat?
During the game when they show him on the sidelines. He looks to be at least 15-20 lbs heavy.

All reports from when suggs first injured his Achilles stated this was a 10-12 month recovery...to recover and POSSIBLY play...

Not to mention the articles i just researched back from that time period that said regardless if it was a full tear or partial...it could take over a year and half to regain even close to normal strength...

All I'm saying is ...... its been 5 freaking months....5....how can yall not feel uncomfortable about this..?

Unless this injury was severely misdiagnosed...

He's too vital to our team to rush him out there based on other peoples injuries

Don't lie to yourselves either...if we're 5-1 with a healthy ray and webb...he's not out there today..period.

Additionally, wasn't there a thread about Sizzle holding up the number 6 during the Week 1 game? Well... it's been 6 weeks.

Hear me out. Here's my theory on when exactly Suggs plays this season. It is somewhat conspiratorial but I am beginning to believe it though.

My theory is that Suggs is fully healed and ready to play against Houston. He will show up on the 43 man roster and surprise, surprise - Suggs is in the game! How can he be game ready you may ask? Looking at the shape he is in, it seems he is in football ready shape already. He looks really well conditioned and may actually have been practicing in a clandestine manner without the knowledge of media and fans. He may not play the entire game but play in pass rush situations against Houston, and then continue to play more and more snaps over the next few games.... I think playing a few snaps against Houston may actually help him get back in shape quicker too...

Harbs has a great poker face when speaking about Suggs, but still maintains what great a shape he is in.... he is covering for not trying to sound disingenuous when he actually plays this sunday I believe....

I know, I know - conspiracy theory, but very plausible indeed!

Even with the extra pounds, I'm excited he's back on the practice field.
Good, now he can play DT jk.
Suggs is no longer a speed rusher. But he probably still is faster compared to most nfl lb. We will be fine, I still want my dream 6'7 4.2 40 yard dash time MLB tho.

It was never said to be a 10-12 month recovery time injury!

Another uninformed post by IAL. Keep 'em coming, fella!

Yes agree your spirits might rise a bit to see him doing some practice work BUT wouldn't you agree your emotions/adrenalin will increases ten folds if you see him on the field Sunday?
Not only is it good for the team, it's good for him to start practicing too and getting to work with Pees. It's not only nice that he's back in practice, it's HUGE. Having him back at practice means he's getting to where he needs to be at to actually start playing. I could go on, and on, and on.
