Ray Lewis Appreciation

47 posts in this topic

Ray, you are one of my role models. You are truley the greatest MLB ever, and probably the most dominant defender of the past 17 years. I hope that we sign you as a D Cordinator, that way we can see you on the field all the time still, and so you can keep doing your speeches and dance. Time to pass on the torch, I just hope that you can coach Manti next year.

Ray...IF....you are done (i hope not)...i am glad that i got the opportunity to watch you play at M&T Bank Stadium for a few home games over the past few years and ESPECIALLY, on Sunday vs the Cowboys! i can say that it has been a pleasure to watch you play on the field, talk in the locker room and pressers and to give countless amounts of speeches. i have numerous amounts of Ravens gear with your image and, i will NEVER forget your awesome pre-game entrance dance! WOW! when it comes to the memories that you have provided for us as Ravens fans......

THANK YOU SIR!

I spent my hard earned money (working in a tire shop which was not fun) to make damn sure I saw Lewis and Reed play before it was too late(flew from Canada, paid for flights, game tickets and hotel). I'd do it again if given the chance.

Love you, Ray. Thanks for everything Ray has done for Baltimore. Certainly will never be another man like him in the league.

Hard to imagine the Ravens without him. So come back as defensive cord! :)

It has been a true honor to watch this man play football. I pray that his time is not done as a Raven but if it is... All of us witnessed the greatest MLB to ever play for 17 years. We witnessed an even greater human being that inspired his city of Baltimore to be great. #52 Ray Lewis a once in a lifetime player. The kind that legends are made of. Thank You, but if it is possible I want your career to end on your terms not dictated by injury.

I don't think we've seen the last of Ray. Sitting on the sideline, getting worked on by the training staff, you could still see the same fire and passion on him. This isn't a guy who's checked out and I don't think this would be how he wants to go out, either. If it's up to him, and his body is able, I think (and hope) he'll give it another go.

Get healthy, Ray, you're my favorite player GOAT

Why does this sound like a 'goob bye' thread?

His not going anywhere
his Son is a Senior this year i do believe,he said he wouldnt play once his kid hits college level, thus people saying bye, because they think he's done.

I came here after seeing the tribute to Ray Ray on ESPN. I was wondering if he told someone close too him that he is done. Anyways there are few people in sports that have made an impression on me like him.
Of course being a much hated Rival I dont see Steeler fans admitting to this but there is an enormous amount of respect for his approach to the sport and I truly wish he wore the B & G.

It will never be the same when I think of the Ravens D.

I don't know if he'll retire this season or the next, but I do know sometime soon I'll be making a trip up to Baltimore not only to watch my Ravens play at home, but also to see the statue of #52 that will no doubt mark the Bank as sacred ground

Wow. This is a sad thread to visit.

Thanks for everything Ray. The Original Raven. I truly hope to see you running out of that tunnel next Fall, but if I don't, thanks for all the great years!

Let's save this for when we actually know he's done. I'm thinking 70 percent he comes back next year.

These videos make me sad, Ray before he blew out his hamstring could run with any HB or TE in the league. He was truly remarkable.

I hope I didn't miss my chance to see Ray in the flesh at M&T do his famous dance. I'm supposed to go to the Broncos game this year (and still might) but it will not be the same without Ray Lewis there. Maybe next year.

The greatest defender of all time. And one of the greatest, most motivational people I have ever heard speak.

God bless ya Ray, I hope I haven't seen the last of ya. But if I did, than that's alright too. I'll see you in Canton in about 5 years. We've all had the luxary and privilege of watching you play your heart out since day 1, and I don't think anyone could have asked more from ya.

I have a feeling he comes back though, I can't see it ending like this.

Do they count the probowl he gave up to (I think Bart Scott) ?

I know he's tied the record at 13 with Junior Seau for a LB.
