Agreed. But if our Defense would allow another 200 yds RUSH FEST this weekend, I will throw Dean Pees under the bus in no time! Its painfull to watch from the stands or from TV, make it stop, Dean !!!

Your compelety right, in a perfect world when you have a D-line that can, on pressure situations rush four defeners like Tuck, JPP, Osi, Canty, and Kiwanuka you don't have to bring additional defenders. CLEARLY thats not us. I don't really get your point, you state the obvious, that ideally you only want to pressure good QB's with 4 defenders, because otherwise if you blitz additional men they will burn you on short crossing, slant, or out routes; yet you also state that a big reason we beat the Pats is becasue Peas "changed it up and brought extra pressure". So your dogging this other guy for advocating more blitzes, and hypocritically saying we succeed by biltzing more?

The problem is that we bring 5 or 6 guys and still generate zero pressure, and that is a personel issue, thats not on the D-coordinator. If you bring that many guys you need to be knocking the Qb down or in his face just about every time.

On a side note rushing three is also a terrible defensive tactic unless your facing bottom of the barrel Qbs and even then because the Dline is so pathetic its a desperate plan of attack.
I see what you mean, but my overall point was that Pees knows what he is doing. Tiz was right in saying you need to pressure Brady, but he is blaming Pees for not getting it done when there is only so much a DC can do to generate pressure.

He is saying "just hit Brady" or "just blitz more", but it's not that easy. Blitzing is going to put a strain on someone whether its a CB matched up against a WR with no help or a LB that has to cover a TE 1v1. For much of the game against NE we did only rush 4 and sat back in zone coverage, but the pressure wasnt getting there. In the last couple of drives, Pees took a different approach, letting the CBs to press the WRs and brought extra pressure in an attempt to rattle Brady. It did in fact work, but if we had used that approach the entire game I would venture to guess it wouldnt have been nearly as effective. It just goes to show that we do in fact have a competent DC who saw what was (or wasnt) working and made the proper adjustments within the flow of the game to allow us to come back and get the W.

What was frustrating to me in the past game, even when we rushed 5-6 guys the pressure still wasnt getting to Romo. Maybe it was poorly disguised and I think part of the plan was just to rattle him pre-snap. However, Romo kept cool and was able to pick us apart. If our defense cant generate pressure even when blitzing we are in for a long season, at least on the defensive side.

everybody will blame pees right now but nobody can make this defense look good unless our front 7 gets half as good as last year. we have one of the worst front 7's in the league. May not be dead last because we have Ngata and Suggs but close to it.

Cam on the other hand has twice the amount of talent to work around than Pees does and still can't get anything done. Heck Dean Pees could probably do a better job as the offensive coordinator. Nobody in the league is dumber than Cam and he knows it.

cam shud have never came here, if you were head coach, please don't dumb down to OC, go coach hs ball. pit's gonna learn there lesson w/that guy from KC.
pees, 200 back to back, never b4 in ravens history, the only thing saved him are the 2 wins, so far, i kinda wanna blame rays tricep on Pees, but, factually, he can blame job loss it on 23 from houston, who may gash us for 300, 1 missed tackle , and he's bowing and preying on you. look for him to break some long ones on us. this game should be over quick, my god, if cush was there, we could even 4fit, this loss will show how much Ray has been anchoring the so far this year, too bad he can't do it from the sideline, its gonna take a DC change, we've been good at finding some good ones, there some notables who are head coaches now, won't name them, but there all in the afc, and the want our spot, so cry for ray, cry for the rayvens, this one could be a tear jerker. and while im at it, let me reveal that we've already one of the superbowl teams this year, houston's the other...get ready. i'm sorry

Not only is this nonsensical drivel, it's almost impossible to read. I know it's the internet and most people are too lazy to type grammatically correct sentences, but communication is just impossible here!

I wouldn't blame Pees.It may be hard for some to swallow, but defensively, personnel wise,we aren't as good as we think we are.Regardless of the scheme,at some point talent makes plays.

I'm almost out of my shock phase about the injuries but before I'm done venting let me get one last finger pointing session out. I blame the Ray Lewis injury on Pees and the d line. The Ngata injury I ut on Pees lame scheme. If the line wasn't letting HOV lanes open up Ray wouldn't be out there waiting to tackle but meeting people in gaps. That means he's on the field less cause we're stopping the run. Same with Ngata. With defenders being on the field that long you can't expect them to stay healthy with the way lines block at the knees.

I stubbed my toe walking to the bath room late last night.
Lets blame Pees for that too !!!!

Is Timmy in the well or are we gonna lose to Houston? Gah!

I actually voted 'Nobody has it better than us' simply because at the end of the day, the players have to execute. The two games where we let KC and Dallas run all over us, was simply for lack of professional tackling by players. They sucked! Nothing to do with Pees. Now, are these guys the best in the business? No, but they aren't the worst either and are in fact pretty good.

Also, I believe we'll turn around our defense in the next few games and the offense and special teams are going to continue to improve. Are we going to win our next 10 games? Probably not, but I still think we win the AFC North well before we play the 17th week too!

I actually said none should go. We have a good situation right now, and this is not a good time to make a coaching change.
We need our offense to step up, and the last thing they need is a change in leadership. Pees is not the problem on defense, and special teams is fine.

That's why we use punctuation and caps. This isn't the first time I've seen these rambles. They look pathetic.

I'm sorry 6 games will not take me off of Cam Cameron yet lol not when so many 3rd and shorts end with crazy results not named Ray Rice.
Pees has me kind of in tough situation, I want to criticize him, but the defenders are missing so many tackles, nobody can even create pressure and when that happens it's hard to ask the secondary to cover WRs forever, and I just want to see if he can make adjustments and get the defense to some respectable rankings for the rest of the season ( Top 15 total yards would be ok, our scoring defense could be Top 10)

you can't throw Cam anything with the huge Offensive improvement this year, Rosburg has helped bring Tucker up this year, so if anyone it would be Peas, but I wanna see where the Defense goes when Suggs is back, and its very clear he sees the problems on the defensive side just hope he can fix em

I think today's whipping put an exclamation on a certain under achieving offensive cordinator's tenure here.

That was a disgustingly called game.

Does that include the diety that worships the 6'7 MLB with a 4.2 40 thats stronger than Ngata that wears the number 69. Lol jk.

Lets see rice starts out getting good chunks, we get 3 pts off the bat, then our amazing OC abandons the run .. We had only 1 sack and no pressure most game. We did good against the run which is a + but then left wr wide open. I dont know how some expect the bye to magically fix our issues on D. Im actually really worried for browns game, IMO their better then their record.

After this game I think we get rid of the entire coaching staff and start off totally revamped. Keep Harbaugh however...
I don't think Harbaugh should be safe. He assembled this inept staff, it's as much on him as it is on them. But I'm in the minority that doesn't like Harbs, which is weird cause I really like his brother.

I'll say it once and I'll it again: sack Cam! Our offense will never be elite with him corrupting Flacco's mind with horrible play selections. :ravensquote:

Cam is so horrible! It looks like our game plan never changes, week in week out the same crap game plans. AGAIN WHY WASNT RICE USED MORE???? Obviously the O-line couldn't protect Flacco, so what does Cam do, he calls more passing plays. After the safety Cam panicked and decided to start slinging the ball. Im so frustrated with his inability to adapt/adjust. He has an occasional good game plan, but far too many crap ones. This O will continue it's inconsistency as long as he's calling games

That's my rant for the day!!!
