Sorry. I don't think it matters where the blitz is coming from. Players arent getting it done simple as that. I have yet to see a reasonable argument that actually incriminates Pees.
[/quote]

That's because you don't want to fault him for bad schemes such as playing zone and not attacking tommbrady. You will simply say it was the players who couldn't pressure not why the f would you rush 3 against a guy who nyg showed makes errors under pressure.

Wow. Do some of you guys eben realize the drawbacks to heavily blitzing a guy like Brady?
Or the fact that QBs lick their chops when they get one on one matchups? Playing man and blitzing may be great in Madden, but in real life it is not so simple.

Yeah you hit him and cause him to throw picks.

Signed
2009 and 2011 ravens and 2007, 2012 New York giants.

You know how he throws for 300 yards against Baltimore. It's when we play zone

FYI this game vs Baltimore was Brady's best ever against Baltimore
First game over 300 yards passing
Only game he has had multiple tds and no ints.
Highest qb rating.
And yet we weren't as aggressive with him as we were in 2009 but no you're probably right less blitz more zone.

Allrite. Let me educate you here for a second. First off against Tom Brady, you dont want to blitz if you dont have to. He is too good at recognizing it and beating you. You beat Tom Brady by rushing 4, however, we werent getting pressure with 4 because our Dline is awful. You will notice when the game was on the line, Pees changed this up and did bring extra pressure and that is a big part of the reason we won that game. (crazy I know that he actually made adjustments) Rushing 3 didnt happen. I'm not "simply saying" the front 4 didnt get pressure. It's a fact. The following game against the Browns Pees blitzed 50% of the snaps, and it worked some and we also got burned a few times. He also blitzed a decent amount against KC and very frequently last game against Dallas.

So just magically start hitting him. I see how it works.

Maybe not having Suggs is a reason he had a better game?

I suppose logic doesnt work on your type though.

Hahaha love the question, I have hated Cam for a long time, and I am still disatisfied with what I believe should be easily be a top 5 offense. However, The defense has been so terrible this season its hard not to say Peas at the moment.

Your compelety right, in a perfect world when you have a D-line that can, on pressure situations rush four defeners like Tuck, JPP, Osi, Canty, and Kiwanuka you don't have to bring additional defenders. CLEARLY thats not us. I don't really get your point, you state the obvious, that ideally you only want to pressure good QB's with 4 defenders, because otherwise if you blitz additional men they will burn you on short crossing, slant, or out routes; yet you also state that a big reason we beat the Pats is becasue Peas "changed it up and brought extra pressure". So your dogging this other guy for advocating more blitzes, and hypocritically saying we succeed by biltzing more?

The problem is that we bring 5 or 6 guys and still generate zero pressure, and that is a personel issue, thats not on the D-coordinator. If you bring that many guys you need to be knocking the Qb down or in his face just about every time.

On a side note rushing three is also a terrible defensive tactic unless your facing bottom of the barrel Qbs and even then because the Dline is so pathetic its a desperate plan of attack.

Lol, no. The Giants didn't even have to blitz. The Giants front four, unlike ours, was able to get that ferocious pressure without blitzes. Come on now! If you watch any team play Brady, 9 times out of 10, you'll see a zone scheme.

This whole board is full of drivel lately. Change the OC! Change the DC! Lets change the formation too! Even though the personnel doesn't change, running a 4-3 is better! It's not the player's fault! Pees missed all the tackles!

No!!! All of these things are nonsensical!!!

I'm almost out of my shock phase about the injuries but before I'm done venting let me get one last finger pointing session out. I blame the Ray Lewis injury on Pees and the d line. The Ngata injury I ut on Pees lame scheme. If the line wasn't letting HOV lanes open up Ray wouldn't be out there waiting to tackle but meeting people in gaps. That means he's on the field less cause we're stopping the run. Same with Ngata. With defenders being on the field that long you can't expect them to stay healthy with the way lines block at the knees.

People are ridiculous. Pees gets blamed for people forgettiing how to tackle, now he is blamed for people getting hurt.

Oh wow, so it's Pees fault our guys got injured now?! Wow, that's a pretty ridiculous statement even for you there, redrum. It's not Pees' fault that Dallas' line was bullying our line around, and it's not his fault our offense was scoring so quickly. It's a good thing they did too, since we had the ball for all of twenty total minutes. This is mostly on the players duder!

I can see where people logically conclude that Pees is the problem with the defense. After all, they were very good last year and this year they are not. The difference-Pees. But these people are not considering that Pees has to make a defense without Suggs, JJ, Redding and a number of other players. He may be part of the problem, but he cannot be the only reason. Cam on the other hand has had this offense for years, with the only chamges being improvements in personnel. I would have expected more at this point.

Jaege, I DONT understand how people logically came to this conclusion. This nonsense started in week 2. Two weeks into the season and he was already getting crucified.
Oh yeah, losing several key players also may have something to do with it...

Not sure, its been a long time since hes been here. I actually printed out the one he did for the Dolphins playoff game years ago and had it in all my car windows as we drove to Miami.

I vote cam I'm still so tired of him. And pees is not getting a fair shake, first off we are the most spoiled team in the NFL and no he isn't as good as other d cords we have had BUT he is trying to make the most out of a bunch of inexperienced players with a MAJOR injury in Suggs so no we need to give him a bit of slack and I HOPE that if he was given a healthy team he could do better.

In my opinion its a little of both, I defininitly believe the situatuion would not be this dire even with this personel group if Pagano had stayed minus the cancer, but who really knows what would have been. I am in no way shouldering the entire blame on Peas, but he doesn't seem to have good defensive game planning at all; however, he did make the proper adjustments against KC, while the offense and Cam did nothing.

Considering how the offense and special teams have performed for the most part this reason, putting Cam and Jerry in this poll is ridiculous.

As for Pees, the beat goes on. When players are consistently blowing the fundamentals as often as we've seen, I can't blame the coordinator too much. His schemes have their holes but the personnel has consistently let him down as well.
