The 49ers (8-3-1) only have a 1-game lead over SEA (7-5). They have one more matchup against each other too, in Seattle! Looks like my prediction of Seattle winning the division could really come true!

It's interesting to note STL is 4-0-1 in the division. If they had won their 3 non-conference games, they'd be in sole possession of 1st place...

Russell Wilson is definitely superior to Kaepernick! The quarterback matchups should play a heavy role come their match at CenturyLink.

That's yet to be seen. The 49ers are still running an Alex Smith game plan with Kaepernick as QB. If they take the leash off and make a Kap game plan, he will shine. He's got the arm and the legs.

The Seahawks are looking like a legitimate Super Bowl contender! They beat division rival Arizona by 58 pt, the 10th biggest shutout win in league history! Kaepernick busts a 50-yd TD run to help beat the Dolphins 27-13. St. Louis' D makes several big plays to beat the Bills 15-12.

Wow how things have changed, a couple years ago we were complaining about the Seahawks being a 7-9 playoff team while complaining how the NFC West was so weak. Now it has become a strong division and could very well have two playoff teams in the NFC playoffs, in which both would have a winning record. I stand by my prediction that Seattle will win the division and because the Seahawks never lose at home, is why the Seahawks will beat the 49ers and claim the Division.

The 49ers face New England and then go to Seattle. If they lose both of those games, which is quite plausible given how well both NE and SEA have been playing lately, SEA will be 1st in the division heading into the final week.

It all comes down to next week! The surging 49ers will go to CenturyLink Field to meet the Seahawks, fresh off a 108-17 streak in the past 2 games! Both teams are led by young, dynamic QBs, elite RBS and fierce defenses! SEA has the infamous 12th man to rally behind them! The winner will sit atop the NFC West!

[/quote]Wouldn't SF still be on top? They'd be 10-4-1 to SEA's 10-5.

I'm not sure. From what I heard, SEA would jump to #1 because of the tiebreaker. The tie makes it confusing.

49ers would still be on the top due to them being 10-4-1 and Seattle being 10-5. I believe that the Tie helped the 49ers as the Seahawks can not overtake the 49ers even if they win. Now if the 49ers lose to the Cardinals in Week 17 and Seahawks win against the Rams, then the 49ers would be 10-5-1 and Seattle would take the division at 11-5.

^ Correct ^

The Seahawks are a young, exciting team. I have enjoyed watching their games on NFL Ticket. They have become my team to root for in the NFC. And I am starting to understand the "East Coast Bias." They get a little shout out each week, but not the kind of glamor coverage a Jets or even Carolina team would get with this kind of success.

The Seahawks laid a licking on the surging '9ers, beating them 42-13 in raucous CenturyLink Field! SF's division lead falls to half a game. SEA clinches a playoff spot with the blowout. In other news, STL blew out Freeman's Bucs 28-13. CHI beat AZ by the same margin in Glendale.

In a division throwdown, SF hosts AZ and SEA hosts STL. If SEA beats STL and AZ upsets Harbaugh and co, the Seahawks would win the NFC West!

The 49ers blew out the Cardinals in Candlestick 27-13 to clinch the 2nd seed. The surging Seahawks cooled down considerably, but still won 2-13 with an all-out effort from Russell Wilson, who threw for 250 and a TD and ran for 58 and a TD. The Rams ended the season 4-1-1 in the division.
