I know I'm gonna get negged here, but Ray Lewis hasnt been that impressive to me so far this year. It's devastating to potentially lose his presence, but his play has slipped. I think we will be ok. It's not like our defense can get much worse....

the same Ray Lewis that LEADS the team in tackles ? Total, solo AND assist ?

Yeah he has not done crap all season has he ?
If he werent in there well we would be doing much better.

La Canfora just reported that they believe he has a sprained MCL. He said it is a 2-4 week injury. Yeah he came back in the game but he was severly hobbled and you could tell he was hurt.

It was a bad project for him to lose his strength and weight to increase his speed. He can't tackle like he use to, or have the strength to push off a O-lineman/FB.

Im hoping he is ok today and get back on the regimen that has proven to work for him.

You need to add the 8 solos and 6 assists today as well as the Fumble Recovery and pass deflection he has.

He also leads the team in defensive stops.

Yeah he leads the team in tackles 5+ yards past the LOS. He isnt getting it done like he used to. I'm not saying he has been bad, but he isnt the Ray Lewis of old.

I posted the same question the other day; which Inside Linebacker in the NFL is racking up a ton of tackles behind the line of scrimmage this season?

I don't know if this has a dramatic affect on our defense. But thinking about THAT being Ray's last game would be really really REALLY hard to swallow.

This would really suck. Praying it's not true. I don't think he's been as good as he was, but this is his 16th or 17th year in the NFL. Still. I'd rather he go out on his terms as someone suggested before.

Probably none, but Lewis has been struggling to get off blocks and make the plays he is supposed to. He has missed a lot of tackles that should be made.

There are some players who are difference makers at ILB like Daryl Washington, Navarro Bowman, Luke Kuechly...
