Interesting article, I'm so much more confident with Flacco taking snaps and doing his drop. Kyle could not even get the fundamentals down, which was a shame because he was a tough, gritty kid IMO. Heck, I could not imagine Kyle Boller in the No Huddle in his rookie season. Joe, on the other hand seems more then confident and comfortable to keep the opposing D personel on the field by going with the No Huddle.

I dont think anyone can question Boller's toughness. He could hang with the best of them and he had all the physical tools. The mental makeup just wasnt there. Flacco has everything that Boller lacked.

I wonder if Kyle is going to be picked up from someone in the offseason? I will always wonder if he could have clicked in the Cam Cameron offense? Guess we'll never find out, it would be crazy to see him as a starter for another team.

Boller had BILLICK'S system, a crappy line, and didn't have anyone talented at WR. Enough said.

Heck, if we can keep him for a couple more years for less than a mil a season, i'd keep him. a very valuable backup and the best backup in the league imo.

Agreed.

And besides, if Troy Smith is really going to be rotated in on a regular basis in the Suggs/Wildbird package, then there needs to be an insurance policy in case either he or Flacco (or both) get hurt. After all, someone needs to fill the slot of the 2nd QB on the field in that package.

Besides, imagine having all three QBs checked into the game...it's already hard enough to figure out which of the two will take the snap, and then what that QB will actually do with it...oh, the possibilities. ;)

there is no comparing Flacco and Boller.
Flacco is far better at this point in his career than Boller was at any point.

This coming from a self proclaimed Boller fan.

I would love to see him be a back up in Baltimore, but I honestly think he deserves a chance to start some where else. In the right situations he could well be a great QB. Balto. never offered that situation and cold day in Cancun he starts in front of Flacco here.

I still support Boller, he was our leader, but he is no longer that. I do think Flacco will be a much better quarterback then him, but we'll see.

Billicks system is the only dog in the fight you have here. That crappy offensive line had a 2000 yard rusher and is the very same offensive line that was in the top of fewest allowed sacks when McNair was QB in 06. He had Todd Heap in his prime and eventually he got Mason and Clayton. Right now the only reliable target Flacco has is Mason. Boller sucks. Enough said.

That 2000 yard rusher was the Jamal Lewis that ran over any defender that got in his way. Pass blocking is a little different than run blocking anyway. People still just see what they wanna see. No point in arguing anymore. I just wish I could have seen how Boller would have worked out this year.

I agree.
That said I think Flacco at this point in time is better than Boller has ever been. I think this was Bollers real opportunity to prove how good he really is. I would have loved to have seen that. Good luck in the future Boller. I hope your opportunity comes...

yes I want to see Boller.
NOT replacing Flacco of course.

Yes I know his numbers, but I also know Billic and the condition of his O-line at the time.
I am convinced with our current team, Cam Cameron and all that the team has to offer at this point in time it would have been Bollers best year ever.

Again, not as good as Flacco, but his best year ever.
