Being reported that Ngata has a MCL sprain. If the diagnosis is correct he could miss between 2-4 games. Foster and Tate may combine for over 300 yards on the ground next week if he is not out there.
400 is on the shy side- we could see a new single game rushing record by both guys!

By 2-4 games, does that include the Bye week? I'm not as mad about Ngata missing just the Houston game and then go into the bye to rest to come back week 9

Weeks I meant. Sorry about that.

My problem with the Webb injury is it is basically a 2 year recovery and we just resigned him. At least we know he can come back from it.

No, but his PI call was horrible, Brown actually filled in well today. I still think our secondary is one of the best bc of the CB depth. But Unleash Asa Jackson .

Next man up, will deft be watching if Suggs will be back against Houston .

Not sure if Reed is injured or not but glad Ozzie didn't extend him. Never seen anyone on our team be more afraid to make a tackle..

My personal opinion is rest Suggs a bit more. Huston COULD be a loss with a fully health Ravens.
Dont misunderstand me, I am not saying lay down on the game.
No
No
No
I am saying with Webb out, and for sake of argument, Lewis, and Nagata for the Texans game, will the presance of Suggs be enough to make up for them AND be worth the risk down the stretch ?

I say No. Rest Suggs for the Texans and the bye and start him against Cleveland.

Haloti Ngata's knee sprain isn't expected to sideline him, but confirmation of initial diagnosis still pending for him.
We need him against Arian Foster.

Seems the final diagnosis is a minor MCL tweak. Should be good for this week!

I can't believe that of all our defensive stars, freaking Ed Reed is the healthiest.
It's a small miracle. The old man quietly played 16 games last year and might do it again this year.

Absolutely gutted that Ray's done for the year.

On a slightly positive note, Haloti's injury is just a "minor MCL tweak" and he should play against Houston.

Last year when Ray was out, everyone stepped up and did a really nice job. I think we'll be okay but it's more sad/worrying that he may retire now.

Rays going to have a lot of time this year to feel what it's like to not have football for months and months. That could have been the last time we saw the greatest ever play. But IMO, I think he loves the game to much to go out like this. I'm more sad for him than sad for our team. It's sickening to think if we win the Superbowl it will be without him playing. He deserves much more, and never this.

Last year our D was not playing horrible. We also had our top CB playing great who we wont have anymore. On top of all of that, Suggs was playing at a level that he has never played at before and probably will never play at again due to his achilles tear.

Yikes!
All this from one game.
Let's hope the young guys can step it up.
NOBODY repaces Ray - at least he will be sideline cheerleader.
Last year we had Redding, a 100% Suggs, and JJ.

This is why I said we needed to win it all last year. I think we may have missed our chance.

And the senseless pessimism continues. You could say this team missed its "chance" in '06, '08, '09, '10 and last year, but they're still firmly in the hunt.

A slew of injuries to key players doesn't change that.

We have one game, then a bye, where we have time for Suggs and Ngata to get healthy, and time to make any adjustments that might need to be made due to the loss of Webb and Ray. Yes, things look bleak, but we can make adjustments. I believe in our team.

Honestly the team up untill yesterday has been very fortunate. I dont think the Loss of Ray will be that noticible. He plays the least important possition on the field next to the SS, and as you saw last year, his backups did great and we won every game he was out.

Losing webb is huge. He is our best player.

However loosing two players vs what some other teams are going through is not the end of the world. Its the NFL, people get injured. The year the Packers won the SB, they had like 15 people on IR, way more than any team. Last year the Giants were riddled with injuries and came on strong at the end to take the lombardi.

I hate to say it but this is good for the team. It FORCES the younger guys to step up. It Forces the offense to produce and it lets us see who we really have on the bench. We may have a diamond in the rough somewhere waiting to shine.

Let's toughen up guys. Our first mistake was letting so many Dallas fans in the stadium. It was a direct impact on the health and performance of our players. NO MORE SLIP-UPS! We gotta support this team 110%! We're the next man up! We're gonna take some loses, DEAL WITH IT. It's not the end of the world. We'll be ok, have faith in that.
