Well at least we saw this one coming. I've changed my mind about adding Hall to the team. He might be a good fit considering the fact we are injury plagued in our secondary.

Thanks for the update, mac, this sucks but I hope we can persuade D-Hall to come in and play the Raven way, otherwise I don't want him here.... and I thought injuries weren't supposed to ravage the same team two years in a row?

We certainly need to solidify our secondary in the offseason (if not sooner).

ty law is looking more and more like a viable option if we can't pick up hall. he's an experienced vet, playmaker, knows the game, and adds some needed depth. he'd be a lot cheaper than hall too.

Not necessarily, as Hall will hopefully just take a 1-year deal that expires at the end of this season, making him an Unrestricted Free Agent again.... so if that's the case, he has MILLIONS of reasons to play well the rest of the year :P

True. I have also wondered about picking up Ty Law or a veteran CB after we lost Derrick Martin and we were unsure if Rolle could come back after neck surgery.
Ty Law..."He's too old, he's lost a step, he's done"....funny that's what everyone said about Lorenzo Neal and Ray Lewis. I say let him come in, try out, and prove what he can do rather than people guessing and speculating about his abilities based soley on age. He's the SAME age as Derrick Mason and he's playing on a high level! Law's leadership, playmaking ability, and feel for the game could become valuable later on down the road this season.

I read that after Hall clears waivers, which he has done he is free to sign with any team he chooses. The Raiders already paid his salary and all you have to do is pay $500,000 and sign an agreement to give him $16 million in a health clause in the case he happens to blow out his knee. After the end of the season, you can cut him or work out a long term deal. I say make sure he's 100% healthy take the risk of paying $16 mil then if you can't get a reasonable long term deal, cut him and sign, Chris Gamble, dunta Robinson, Bryan McFadden, Phillip Buchanon or one of the other good free agents available this off-season.

You can get another good player at the CB position for less money and a long term deal to help our cap. However, Hall is a 2 time pro bowler. No other free agent corner can say that as of right now. It would be great to replace a missing pro-bowler at corner (Chris McAlister) with another.

well you can forget about Hall.

the only way I would want Ty Law is as a safety, to fill in the Rod Woodson role. Corner is one of those positions were you age quickly, unless of course you have Darrell Green genes!

There is a reason Law is still a FA and its very similar to the Culpepper situation. He thinks he's worth more then he actually he is. Law will want 4 or 5 million a year.

well hall just signed with the skins... Honestly i think we okay with what we have... I mean Rolle is back so it will get better and then Landry comming back will make things even better... chris will be missed but i think we will overcome him being on IR... Walker and Fabian have done great jobs.. I mean look were ranked 4th in pass d with our secondaries playing the secondary lol....

I just heard he is having season ending knee surgery. This really sucks b/c what I site it would be to see the whole Ravens starting defense playing out there together. It seems like it has been forever since they have all played together!

Its a good thing this year we have good back ups.
