I knew the skins were overrated, the only good thing they have on that team is Portis, who unfortunatly CANT win games against big defenses.

2 things:

1) I'm pretty sure they've had a harder schedule this far

2) Aren't we playing the Texans this week? Let's take it one game at a time.

Our neighbors to the south deserved to be ignored anyway, they couldn't do the decent thing and beat the Steelers.

Their close proximity to the Beltway and their weird TV distribution markets aside, I still don't understand why such a vocal minority of Ravens fans hate a team that the Ravens rarely play in the regular season.

Why not just be happy that the state of Maryland has two good NFL teams? Delaware doesn't even have a team, period...

I think its largely a holdover that when the Colts left, the Redskins and their fans expected the rest of MD to come running to their loving arms. Their fans are also annoying on the level of Steelers fans.

Well...Virginia TECHNICALLY does, even though the Redskins are located in Landover, MD...

I mean, DC technically occupies both Virginia AND Maryland, so you can argue that the Washington Redskins belong more to VA than MD.

Just like you can argue that the NY Jets belong more to New Jersey than (the state of) New York.

Actually, technically, DC doesn't occupy either, it is its own entity, it just looks like it is in both states but it really isn't... The stadium on the other hand is clearly in MD, so I think us Marylanders have more claim to the Skins than the VA people. That being said, I will never root for the Skins against the Ravens, but should the Skins make it to the Super Bowl (against anyone but the Ravens), I would go for them.

Im a die-hard fan of both the redskins and ravens, being born closer to D.C. but now living closer to Baltimore. You cant bash on how much points the redskins have scored, with them playing in the NFC East. It should be a great game between the Redskins and Ravens, I know I'll be going.

You hit a nerve. Maryland has one team-- The Ravens period. All of md. The foreskins represent that toilet of a city called DC.they are incorporated there as a business have absolutely no ties to Md. they pay taxes to DC.--- Not MD.They triedto get the orioles to move ther in the 80s . They had a piece of crap newscaster that use to regularly use to trash my beautiful beloved Baltmore. He got what he deserved. I dance on his grave. Even the courts decided that Md. is Ravens country. The foreskins can only legally market to pg county and they share montgomery with us. Their name is the most racist name in sports. Thats as derogatory as you can get with the real Americans. That name was established as the Boston foreskins before they moved to the crap-hole.Bostons owner did that name to make fun of his coach who was american native. the team is filth and so is the town. I got 2 pages more if needed.

Well, without getting too much into it, I have a strong dislike for a lot of my family members, but not because they're Redskins fans.

So, the family thing is a moot point.

But no, even when, say, my cousins' friends are around, I'm not annoyed by them.

Maybe it's because their perceived level of "obnoxiousness" doesn't match the Eagles fans I encounter daily? But that's a different story for a different thread...

I don;t understand how one could be a die-hard fan for two teams. To me, a die'hard fan has allegiance to only one team. I understand that alot of Baltimore fans changed their allegiance to the deadskins when the Colt left BMore. I did not align myself with any other team in the hopes that we would get another team. I just don;t get the concept of a "die-hard"fan of two teams.

They rarely play each other, so it makes enough sense to me.

Ok, lets be serious now, the deadskins? I was born closer to D.C. so I grew up a Redskins fan, but I now live closer to Baltimore and you gotta support your home team. Im a huge fan of them both. Not because I changed my allegiance when the colts left bmore or anything. I personally dont see anything wrong with being a die hard fan of two teams that for 1) Have no reason to hate each other 2) Seperate conferences 3) play each other once every 4 years 4) Both reside in Maryland. Good luck Ravens vs Texans
