On to the Cowboys

The OL play is the biggest concern. Can't block, and too many penalties. If they stall, everyone stalls, and that's exactly what happened today.

They won.

On to the Cowgirls. ;)
i know this already! it was rhetorical! however, i'm not one of these cats in here that always say "a win is a win!" i'm glad they won but their gameplay vs what most considers to be a inferior team speaks volumes. vs the browns at home and now the chiefs on the road. and, after 10 days rest no doubt. smh! but, it is on to the cowboys...baltimore...here i come...see you next week section 119. lol!

10 days off is still not a bye. The Ravens are 4-0 in the last four years coming off the bye.
now you are playing semantics! the Ravens haven't played in 10 days. it may not be their "official" bye-week on the books but they have not played a game in a week and 3 days. that is like a bye-week and yet they came out of that and performed like this? wow!

We have to protect Flacco. Even if that means having Pitta/Dickson/Leach/Rice mix it up with some max protect - I'm just scared of Ware and the pressure that will create for their talented corners.

If we can do that and get Rice involved early, productively, I think we have a good chance.

Plus, we have the mighty M&T crowd on our side. :D

Our O-Line still makes too many mistakes and neither gives Flacco alot of time to pass, nor Rice alot of space to run.
Our receivers HAVE to catch the ball. Seriously, I thought we were over this. There were some very catchable balls, that just slipped out of hands, that used to be dependable.
Practice converting 3rd downs, for the love of everything that is holy, please do that.

Believe it or not, I cannot totally blame the defense, which actually made a couple good plays happen (Kruger was this games MVP, clearly).

What really pissed me off was when Flacco was sacked and the ball came loose. K.O. (who allowed the sack) ran and dove for the ball but failed miserably. If that was a fumble and he missed it, and they scored, than I would be beyond pissed.

If we suddenly have a good game at the Bank again, I will be ready to actually believe, that Flaccos audibles do in fact make up for Cams playcalling (just after I was willing to give Cam a break). If that is the case, we have to figure out how to use it on the road more effectively, before facing Houston, who are clearly the best team in the league right now.

That drove me nuts. KO jumped on the ball and it looked like a banana squirting out of its peel. That could've been disastrous

...don't have NFL Ticket this year so could not see my boys live. A win is a win on the road, and I garner no major injuries.
I have a strong feeling that we are going to dominate the Cowboys at home next week.

That's what I am saying. 10 days rest is not the same as a bye. 4 days in football terms is huge. The players get a lot more rest during a bye and the coaches have even more time to gameplan. It doesn't seem like much, but its a big difference.

yeah, the bye they actually get a week to rest. Seven days ( maybe five ? ) but this past week they may of had two maybe four. Not enough to get out of town and relax I am sure.

If the Ravens play like they did against Tennessee, the Rams could give us trouble.
If the Ravens play like they did against Jacksonville and Arizona, the Steelers will destroy us.
If the Ravens play like they did against Seattle, the Bengals will upset us.
If the Ravens play like they did against San Diego and Cleveland, the Bengals will beat us for sure.

Catch my drift?

Cowboys are a very talented team, but they also lack discipline and make costly mistakes liek clockwork. I think this game will be close, but the Ravens should come out on top at home. The biggest issues will be protecting Flacco and limiting big plays.
The assignment of Oher on Demarcus Ware looms large...

If the Titans,Jags,Seahawks and Chargers play like they did vs us against anybody last year they would have a good chance of winning. Not saying it's all because of that, but you also got to give all those teams the same amont, if not more credit.

If the Ravens play like they did week 1 vs the Steelers last year we would beat anyone. If we play our game we can beat anyone.

going for the deep ball like we did all day today won't work one bit against the boys and if they try that, expect many sacks on flacco then. Oher and KO won't be able to hold their end rushers for as long as flacco needs to complete passes like the ones cam draw up today. Short easy passes are a must against this team. Ray Rice MUST be used in the passing game as well.

I hope the Cowboys as a whole have just given up on the season. Or that Jerry Jones impulsively decides to take over the head coaching duties right before game time.

That was pretty much the last game I watched at a bar (due to some stupidness afterwards), but I remember going crazy when they rattled off the back to back gallops! Insane!
