I agree. I think the Ravens should pay Scott for his performance. I also think that he is a dedicated Ravens player, more so than Suggs. Just wish he could match Suggs' performance this year.
I agree with a lot of this.
Cut list- C-Mac, Rolle, McGahee (should Rice continue on as he has), and Scott.
That should allow us to build where we are hurting= defensive backs.
I wouldn't be so quick to get rid of ANYBODY... this is a TEAM, and the greater the depth we can maintain, the better. But health issues, age, and contract numbers will dictate where we need to go, given salary cap issues. I like the depth we have at CB, DB, DL, LB and RB. In a 16 game season, at NFL intensity, with the playoffs and Super Bowl you need all the help you can get.

I think we should strongly look at a replacement for Trevor Pryce, and C-Mac might be through given his health and high salary cap $$ at about 9 million though. With guys like Jameel McClain and Antwaan Barnes maybe, and this is a BIG maybe, Bart Scott becomes a question mark???

I look for Ray Lewis to stick around a couple more years, though, and hope he will ALWAYS be a Raven like Jonathan Ogden. He is still a dominant ILB.

These are tough choices though, and Ozzie and company being privy to the numbers and health, age issues...I'm sure they will make the necessary changes to stay under the cap.

Here is a big question...can we afford to resign and keep Troy Smith as backup QB to Joe Flacco, when his contract expires this off season???

We can afford to say goodbye to Trevor Price, Willie Anderson (if he's getting paid alot), and before today Todd Heap's name was on my hitlist. If we draft a corner in the first 2 rounds of the draft, C-Mac or Samari Rolle, can go. I think its too risky to release both of them. I'm sure McAllister has the bigger contract which would make him the easy choice.
And we gotta think after Marvin Lewis, Mike Nolan, and Mike Singletart got their chances, someone will take a look at Rex Ryan soon, maybe we can get Marvin Lewis back!!!
If we can only keep 2 of those 3 which 2 would you prefer to keep around? Personally I would like to keep Suggs and Lewis around as I feel those 2 are more important, not to discredit Scott because all 3 are phenominal players.

As for Rolle, and McCalister I think we need to cut both, just to clear up that cap space and bring some younger players in here.
We need to keep rolle until we have someone who can fill the spot, second this is WAY to hard to pick, I want to keep ray but he is getting old and we need bart because he is a great (or at least above avg)

LB, and if you have watched any game this year you can see why we need suggs, This will be a tough decision for the coaching staff, if you look for the future of the team you would cut ray but how can you

cut ray! He is like the Favre of GB ooooo wait bad reference.

I'll say one thing...talking about who is expendable in the middle of a playoff run is bad form, and cannot sit well with the players. If we could afford to, I wish we could keep them ALL.

Age, health issues and salary cap numbers will dictate with regard to who we keep next year. But for this season the die is set, and we are getting the job done, so what do we have to complain about???

As I say below........

Shame on you. Ravens will NEVER cut Ray Lewis. He deserves to retire a Raven and get inducted into the Ting of honor and the Hall of Fame
