If we can only keep 2 of those 3 which 2 would you prefer to keep around? Personally I would like to keep Suggs and Lewis around as I feel those 2 are more important, not to discredit Scott because all 3 are phenominal players.

As for Rolle, and McCalister I think we need to cut both, just to clear up that cap space and bring some younger players in here.

Easy one for me. Ray the Motivator & Suggs the young pass rusher. Ray keeps the defense ticking throughout all the years, and Suggs is the pass-rusher we need for many years to come. Scott is very versatile. But if anything the Ravens are great at drafting versatile LBs. Sharper, Thomas, Scott....Who's next?

I am the only one to want Ray and Bart?

They are the 2 best LB's in the game. I love Suggs, but I think Bart overrides him overall.

It's only 3-1 so far vote wise, I'm sure more will back what you said. It's a tough decision period, but honestly if we keep 2 of the 3 either way we are in good shape.

I chose Ray and Suggs. Ray is the ravens heart and soul as of right now, the way things are going it may even turn out that Suggs will carry on the tradition when it is that time for Ray to leave us. Don't get me wrong, Bart is a great Lb. However, I think Suggs will become even greater as he is still young.

Well, I LOVE bart scott and have been a fan of him ever since he signed with us making what $500 a week or something crazy like that? I've always seen him as an up and rising player, However this year I havent seen him make the big plays that he's made in the past.. & lots of missed tackles.. could be just that he hasent had many oppertunites. In my opinion I think SCOTT has the ability to be a great player and another ray lewis more so than Suggs, although I say that suggs has really stepped it up this season and his talents are amazing, his words however.. dont come across to me as the ray lewis of a locker room. Suggs sometimes is not a team player.. but you cant deny his talents. Tough call.. wouldnt it be great if we could keep all three?

Suggs and Ray.

Suggs and Scott will be better players longer but Ray adds so much more as a leader even if he weren't playing at the top of his game. I wouldn't get rid of Suggs because of his habit to yak as Bart's been just as guilty of that last year.

I agree with you, but it was a hard decision to make as I love Bart Scott as well. Also agree with cutting Rolle and McAlister - and I would add McGahee to that cut list. He seems to be very injury prone.

I agree more so with cutting Rolle than Mcalister.. If he chooses to get the surgery this season(which I think he should) & stay with us NEXT season.. we at least need one veteren corner. Rolle is good but I agree.. Very injury prone..

No brainer here! Ray and Suggs. You will have a much easier time trying to find another Bart Scott than you would a Ray Lewis or Terrell Suggs.

Agreed. We have the depth and talent at LB, but it would be near impossible to replace the pass rush and instincts of Suggs and leadership of Ray.

I should probably say this as well. Finding another Ray Lewis is almost an "impossibility", IMO. There is no replacement for Ray Lewis. He is and will be the greatest Raven to ever play! Not to mention one of the greatest defensive players in the NFL "of all time"!

We should slowly get rid of a lot of people. Chris and Samarie should both go next season if they land Hall Chris because he and the coach don't get along Rolle because his contract hasn't matched his production over the two years. Next will be Bart we have solid middle linebackers behind him Tavares Gooden ( From Miami and a Ray Lewis like clone) should be able to play side by side with Ray and have a chance to have the torch passed to him as Ray heads into his final years. Jarret Johnson needs to be replaced by a better pass rusher he is gritty and does a good job but we have guys who can do more that are developing. Trevor Pryce is great and should be kept but a Replacement needs to be found. Sorry to say but if heap is only going to block his contract needs to be changed or he needs to find a new home i love heap and still think he is one of the best we need to try to get him involved and see where we go from there. Now i'm not saying all of this should be done in one off season be these are some areas that need change.

For me, I think we should keep Scott and Lewis.

My main reason for this right now is something that has struck me recently. If we gave them both beefy contracts, I think Scott would be hungry to prove that he deserves it, Suggs would see his work as done. My main evidence for this is Suggs performances in this, his contract year. He's been lights out. It would be ridiculous of me to criticize someone for putting in an extra 10% in a contract year. But Scott came here undrafted, for a miniscule salary, and played every down he was on the field like he had something to prove. When he came in and deputized for Ray when he went down, he played like he had something to prove. When he was elevated to the starting lineup, he played like he had something to prove. On his return from the Pro Bowl, all but assured of his spot in the lineup, he played like he had something to prove, even when there really wasn't. I wholeheartedly believe that if we gave Bart the contract he is due, he would play to earn that money that we had given him, not play to earn the next one. I don't know if I could say the same for Suggs.

I think letting Lewis walk would be PR suicide for the Ravens, and we don't have anyone primed to take over just yet.

i think we should keep suggs and lewis
scott is a great LB but suggs is young and a great pass rusher and lewis is the emotional leader on and off the field and one of the best LB

The only reason I think we should axe Scott is that we have the depth in the ILB department with Gooden or even Anwaan Barnes. There is just something special about Suggs with his pass rush instincts, as well as a huge playmaker. As for the secondary, I agree that Rolle and CMac should go, both have had injury issues over the past 2 years. Don't get me wrong, when they are on the field, they are fantastic, but they need to be on the field. We get rid of Bart, CMac, and Rolle, we'll have a lot of cap room to pick up someone like Gamble from the Panthers or Hall.

I agree with a lot of this.
Cut list- C-Mac, Rolle, McGahee (should Rice continue on as he has), and Scott.
That should allow us to build where we are hurting= defensive backs.

As far as cutting players, and revamping this team to move forward, what about possibly replacing Matt Stover too? =/ I love the guy but he isn't what he used to be.

No way, never, ever.
He should retire a Raven and should have his name on the Ring of Honor (I believe it is called). Stover and Ray are both like Joe Pa is to Penn State- they may hurt us at the end down the long stretch but how can you boot someone out that has done so much for the organization. *Of course PSU just blew their chances (again) for a championship to...IOWA????!!!!

What percentage of field goals attempted in the NFL are over 45 yards anyway?

Plus with a strong offense (for once), we shouldn't need a strong-legged kicker. When we couldn't move the ball but 19 yards every drive= yeah.

Stover is Mr. Reliable. Get somebody for kick offs if that is a concern. But, less than 45 yards...Stover has still got it.

I am still stunned by what people are seeing iin Scott this year??? Even last year he was kinda flat.

I think he talks the talk (which gets him the headlines); but he ain't been walking the walk so much. lol

I'd rather have AD than Scott, personally. AD was much more naturally gifted and was 'quiet strong'.

Please stop it with that. Where did he ever say that he'd rather be a Cardinal then a Raven? He was asked if he was able to hit free agency would he consider playing in Arizona, he said yes. What do you expect him to say? Is he supposed to say "No, the Cardinals are horrible I'll never play for them" or "No, I will remain a Raven for ever"? This a bussiness and neither of the above statements are good for bussiness for a player. If he says no that he wouldnt consider signing with the Cardinals then he runs the risk of turning them off as a possible employer if there ever came a time that his options for teams were limited.

I can't choose. I think and PRAY this will happen.

Sign Suggs and Lewis to there contracts they want.

Franchise Bart or hope he will take a paycut. I heard he would take one since he stated that Ravens were the only team that gave him a chance.

I can't see Bart taking ANOTHER deal under what he is worth. especially when we're forking over such huge sums to sign two fellow linebackers.
